Just wanted to highlight the caring staff and team led by the management team. The facilities represent a 5 star hotel and the cleanliness is of the highest standard. I know Philip is very happy at the Mayflower and this is reflected in his healthy appearance. Well done to you all.

Mayflower Court has been a wonderful home for my mother-in-law. From the very beginning, we have felt reassured by the warm, kind, and professional care she receives every day. The staff are genuinely compassionate, attentive, and respectful, and they always take the time to make her feel comfortable, safe, and valued. The home has a welcoming atmosphere, and it is clear that residents are treated with dignity and patience.

We are especially grateful for the way the team communicates with the family and keeps us informed. It gives us great peace of mind knowing that she is in such caring hands. The activities, environment, and personal attention all contribute to making Mayflower Court feel like a true home. We would highly recommend Mayflower Court to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and well-run care home for a loved one.

Very smooth transition from hospital to care home. Manager and staff were all very informative and helpful. Access and visiting is very good with excelent facilities, with tea and selection of coffee drinks readily available . All information is well displayed in all area's including food menu, monthly activities and numerous other signs. All in all, cant fault anything so far.

From the beginning, all of the questions were answered straight away. Queries as a result of the questions were also answered. From respite to becoming a full-time resident was easy with help getting to a more suitable room very quickly and easy. Supportive and helpful staff.

I have been visiting my Godmother at Mayflower Court for nearly two years. Immediately, I was impressed by the sense of community exemplified by the relationship between staff and residents, and staff leaders' readiness to accommodate reasonable adjustments, to make my Godmother's stay comfortable and reassuring, and to cater to and adapt to her sense of autonomy. The example the staff set and continue to set has, in fact, inspired me to pursue a career within Health and Social Care myself.

The last 2 1/2 years my mother was in Mayflower Court. The management and carers had dealt with her everyday needs as her Alzheimer's progressed. The care and attention she was given like doing her makeup, and putting her necklaces on, when she could not longer to it. They knew exactly what she liked to make her happy and she was. Things like this as a family put your mind at rest knowing you had chosen the right care home. The last day of her life they were wonderful and the support they gave me was second to none. My many thanks to them all.

Generally the care home is run very well with good relations for the residents and lots of support for their individual needs and their day to day problems. The activities planning is good but sometimes the residents are not helped or accompanied to help them get to or join in the activities or events. Hence sometimes they don't go when they could or they experience problems there but do not get immediate help. Some care assistants are more active and involved with the residents than others. Some sit about too easily, do things on their mobile phones etc... when they could be supporting or interacting with the residents more. Some care assistants, being from other countries, do not understand English ways and so cannot support the residents as is best. It was a pity that the Home lost Sarah last year as she was a great boost and support for residents and built very effective bridges with outside families. She was positive, full of life and building some great activities for all people.

Staff seem more interaction with residents, cleaner, shame it's not got it's own mini bus to take residents out locally or further afield,,they now over see medication, such a difference, one slight issue they could make the place smell fresher.

I do hope that mayflower realises just how much, the residents and myself, appreciate the very kind and consideration given to all off us here. To care for others as you do is a very special dedication from all your staff, and in such beautiful surroundings. May your own continue without end.

The care home seems to be run very well with fantastic staff. My mother is always well looked after with plenty of actives to keep her busy throughout the day. Her room has a small garden attached to it for which reminds her of her own garden in the past and allows her to sit out in it weather permitting. She also loves walking round the larger garden on sunny days. Her only criticism has been the food standard has gone down over the past year there doesn't seem to be the variety that they use to have.

We have been very grateful for the loving support from all the team during a period of great distress for my mother when she was too frail to attend an important family funeral. The home arranged a special room to view the funeral streaming.

The team have also been very supportive in helping my mother think about her wishes when it comes to her own death and prepared with her a detailed plan for how she would like to be cared for.

I find it very comforting that someone is always there to take care of me. I find my room excellent and very comfortable. I find the staff excellent and are always on hand to help. I enjoy the food and like that I can either eat in my room or in the dining room.

The most important thing is having someone that can help as my health is not what it used to be. I also like the fact I can still go out by myself whenever I want.

I have visited my mother-in-law twice a year for 3 years as I live abroad. Every visit was unannounced and unplanned on every occasion, Mum was in excellent health, well-fed and nurtured and obviously well cared for.

Her cleanliness and her surroundings were exceptional. I would be very happy to reside here in the future should my need arise.
