Parklands Lodge offers a warm welcome to all relatives visiting loved ones.
If advance notice is given, visitors are welcome to use the facilities. For example, friends and family may like to join loved ones in the spacious dining room for a meal, or even enjoy a light bite in one of the tea rooms.
In order to dedicate the time to provide an initial look around, the Lodge requests that viewings are organised in advance to ensure staff members are available.
Off road parking at Parklands Lodge, as well as street parking which is free of charge - so finding a space shouldn't be a problem!

I am pleased your Uncle has settled well and we are in agreement that he has improved significantly with the encouragement of our nursing and care team. We are proud of our vigilance regarding infection control, and it is nice to read your appreciation of the safety measures in place and it was lovely to hear you enjoyed a visit with your Uncle. We are so delighted that you are pleased with the care and love we give our residents. As you mentioned the activities and fun is outstanding and has carried on during these difficult times. It is hard to get that balance right with families and friends, but we hope that the communication is two way. Indeed the food is varied, bountiful and good quality. Thank you for your response. I have asked for reviews from relatives as I am the new manager and wanted to know how relatives feel about the home. Sorry if it made you feel suspicious. I will action your point about drinkable water for the floors. I have spoken to the kitchen and asked them to purchase bottled water on a weekly basis for use by the residents.

From the very first moment I walked through the doors of Parklands Lodge I received a fabulous warm welcome not only from the staff team but residents alike. It became evident that everyone has a true passion, takes pride in all aspects of the care home, and truly cares about the residents and their families/loved ones.
It is imperative that all residents, their families and visitors receive a warm and friendly welcome when arriving at Parklands Lodge, this is something that I feel makes a true difference.

We also aim to support you to live your life in colour giving you and your family peace of mind that we are here to provide support around the clock whenever you need it.
Here at Parklands Lodge, we understand how difficult it can be to move into a care home environment. The team are here to support you with the transition into your new home making it as seamless as possible. We are available to provide support, guidance and information not only to our residents here at Parklands but to their loved ones/family members throughout the journey. We are here to promote a positive, safe, and well-maintained environment where we view all of our residents and their families as an extension of our own.
I have worked for Athena Healthcare Group for just over 5 years.
I started as a Concierge at Abbey Wood Lodge but recently joined the team of Lodge Sales Advisors based at our UK head office. I help families find the perfect forever home for their loved ones, liaising with Social Care and many local hospitals.
I enjoy my role very much, especially seeing new residents and their family becoming part of the Lodges extended family. Being a family that has a loved one with Dementia, I feel this helps me understand the pressure put on families when they suddenly have to consider the alternative to keeping their loved one at home.
