What a gorgeous home, a loving caring environment, with genuinely caring staff who are always there to attend our friends every need. Nothing is too much trouble at any time. Giving support and encouragement, and having the patience to sit and talk at any time. A lovely modern home, which is a spacious,
airy and very user-friendly. Extremely clean and hygienic atmosphere. Residents encouraged to socialise and enjoy the facilities that Parklands provides. I would certainly recommend this fantastic home for any need that is required.

From the very moment my Aunt arrived at Parklands Lodge to the present time, the care has been 110%! From all the staff, it really is a superb place and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone needing its services!

Parklands Lodge is a smart and well-presented facility, but what is offered goes much deeper than that. I noticed just how much time and thought the staff spent caring, not only for my brother but also ourselves - his family and many friends. Nothing was too much trouble and it came across they were
doing what they did because they wanted to rather than having to. The Manager and this team provided my brother with every possible comfort during his last few days before quietly passing away.

It is a pleasure to visit my Mother here. The home has good modern facilities and spacious communal areas. The family kitchen is useful to prepare drinks and snacks. I wanted a nursing home with EMI expertise. The senior staff are very knowledgeable and always available to advise and reassure. Staff
are well trained, patient and kind to residents. The food is all home-made, well presented and delicious. The chef goes out of his way to provide meals that my mother has asked for. There is always a bright, happy and positive atmosphere. It is such a relief to have found this lovely place.

We were very impressed the first time we went to make enquiries. We were warmly welcomed by the manager who showed us around and introduced us to the other members of staff. On booking a 2-night stay for my husband, who has Parkinson's Disease and dementia, this respite care proved successful. Good
facilities and friendly staff. Will certainly use these services again.

This is an excellent nursing/care home. The quality of the accommodation is very high as is the overall support from the staff. The staff are all extremely pleasant and always helpful, and provide a caring and friendly environment. Parklands Lodge feels more like a high standard hotel and if I required
this support for myself it would be top of my list. It is a brand new facility in a lovely position and provides everything I could want for my mother.

What a fabulous home this is! My father has recently moved here from another local care home. He is encouraged to be active, involved and engaged by the Manager and his fantastic team. Visits are a joy as Dad is happy and excited to tell me his news about how he has spent his day. The family kitchen
facility means that we can make and drink tea together just as we did when he was at home. I cant praise this service enough- After working for many years in the care home industry I am aware that we all strive to give residents purpose but in my experience, few succeed. Trust me when I say Parklands lodge does what it says on the tin - I cant praise this service enough !

Rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Lounge beautifully furnished, roomy, light. Food exceptional, freshly made, good choice of menu.Visitors can pre-order meals to have with residents. Visitors kitchen a bonus.
Sunny aspect garden, relaxing. Manager fabulous. Nothing too much trouble, always
time for chat- from a nursing profession he understands all aspects of nursing care. Staff friendly, caring, exceptional. Daily care received is excellent. Treated promptly, kindly and with respect at all times promoting independence.
All staff work really hard, very dedicated and attentive. There is no place like home but this is second best! Always feel dad is well cared for and in a safe environment. This really gives us great comfort knowing he is receiving the very best care. We have looked at many nursing homes in the past for a relative and can honestly say that this seems to be the best in Southport.
I would not hesitate to recommend Parkland Lodge to anyone. Keep up the good work! You are very much appreciated.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.460)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.460) out of 10 for Parklands is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 13 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.706 for Parklands is calculated as follows: ( (121 Excellents x 5) + (22 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) + (3 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 153 Ratings = 4.706
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.754 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Parklands is based on 13 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.825
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 70 registered maximum number of service users is 14. 13 Positive Reviews ÷ 14 = 0.929
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
