We would recommend this care home to all our friends and family. The care received is 100% and cannot fault the care received. Resident completely happy now. Always smiling and does not want to return to her own home once respite period completed.

I looked at 7 or 8 homes and as soon as I walked into Signature Parklands Manor, I knew this was my dad's new home. The rooms are beautifully decorated as is the rest of the home. The staff are so friendly and caring and cannot be faulted. Restaurant food is tasty and good choices. Entertainment is
okay. Will be better when more residents are around. Bistro and snooker room/bar will be open soon.

Three weeks respite care has been most beneficial. I have rested and received care when I felt unwell.
I found the staff cheerful and helpful at all times and would be happy to return.

I needed to look for a respite home for my mother close to my home. I had looked at three and I soon realised I found it at Parklands Manor. The first time she came after having had several falls at home and had developed an abscess on her leg that was not healing.
She arrived full of trepidation.
After
two weeks she was a different person; got strong on her legs, gained confidence, the abscess on her leg healed and she was happy and relaxed because she was treated with love, care and above all respect, as well as amazing nursing staff and carers.
The second visit to Parklands Manor came two months later when she became unwell again. This time she was very happy to go back and it was clear she felt at home.
That in return gave me peace of mind and a lovely quality of life for her.
I wish I could make it a permanent home for her.

Mum went into Parklands Manor for respite care for a period of 2 months.
The care and support we both received was 5 star as was the home itself.
The food is prepared fresh daily and to each person's needs. The care staff are genuine people and mum enjoyed her time with them.
I highly recommend Parklands
Manor.

We needed to look for a new care home for my father and found out that this brand new care home was being built. From the first introduction, the staff, management were fully on board delivering what they promised to do in terms of what care they provided and what would be best for my father. We have
made the best choice. The care is second to none and my father is much happier and content. His general wellbeing has greatly improved and it is all down to the level of care Parklands Manor has to offer and provides.

My father was admitted primarily as a respite resident. After much searching, my sister and I felt this was by far the best around. The care and commitment to their residents are exemplary and I feel at peace that our father is settled, cared for and safe he is going through a difficult time and the
staff show such compassion and empathy. It is a credit to your organisation. My father's carers are beyond fantastic, without them helping our father it would be a different story! Thank you.

All the staff at Parklands are very professional, very caring and thoughtful. They work as a team to provide a friendly, happy and fun place for both family, carers and resident.
The food is excellent and surroundings beautiful. A fully qualified nurse is on duty 24 hours which provides extra peace
of mind.
A real lifeline which has proved to be a lovely experience as well.

From the initial contact and enquiry to my uncle becoming a resident the warmth and professionalism of the staff has been exemplary. The care and respect with which he's been treated is so refreshing in the world of dementia.
Everyone has been amazing not only in respect to my uncle but also with
how they have helped us his relatives come to terms with what is at times a very distressing illness....he is now safe and happy!

The transfer of my uncle from his home to Parklands Manor was not without incident owing to the interference of outside parties, however the team at Parklands managed the situation calmly and professionally. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone at Parklands, they have taken the time and trouble
to really understand my uncle and treat him with dignity and respect. The facilities are superb and staff are outstanding.

My mother moved into the home for some respite care following a fall. The staff could not have been more welcoming and caring. Although in some ways my mother would like to be in her own home.
She has decided to stay long-term at Parklands where she feels safe and there is always something going on.

My mum has recently moved to Parklands in Chertsey. Sadly, she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's so the move has been quite traumatic for both her and the family. It's taken a while but with help, support, patience and friendliness of everyone at Parklands she's now settled and adjusted to her new
home. The facilities are fabulous and the concept of senior living here is outstanding.

My parents moved from a bungalow to care at Parklands Manor on February 1st, 2018. The transition was seamless, courteous with easy assistance from the handyman on the day. They have enjoyed the food and entertainment and look forward to the dancing and sing-a-longs each week. After 2 months, they have
settled into a completely new way of life, quite a transition from total independence. Happy days.

Limited time of review as my sister has only been a resident for a week, less than 3 weeks from viewing Parklands Manor. Our experience has been very good, tour of Parklands, meeting many staff and manager, all of whom were most helpful and courteous. I am confident my sister will be well looked after
at Parklands Manor and will give a further review in 3 months.

My Dad moved into Parklands initially for respite, this was a difficult decision for the family to make as we have placed Dad in two other care homes for respite but it was clear that this didn't work for him or us as a family and felt we had to move him and find somewhere where he would be happy

Parklands

Manor welcomed Dad at short notice and really made the transition seamless. I can't thank them enough. All staff were amazing, they got to know Dad and what he liked doing.

The home is amazing, surroundings are fab, care staff and management are very friendly and caring, they have truly made a difference!

A huge thank you to Parklands and I would highly recommend the home. It has given us that reassurance that Dad is receiving excellent care

My 88-year-old mother moved into Parklands Manor on 12th February.
We wanted somewhere that was residential but with the basic care and Support there if needed. Mum has the privacy and freedom of her own room, and company of others when she wants. The grounds and building are new and amazing. The
food is good, we have even had several meals in one of the two restaurants with mum. There are always plenty of activities going on. All the staff are caring and friendly. Before mum moved into Parklands I would constantly worry about how Mum was coping on a daily basis. Now that worry has gone and the time I spend with mum is happy and relaxed.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.926)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.926) out of 10 for Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home - Avery Collection is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.926 for Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home - Avery Collection is calculated as follows: ( (265 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 285 Ratings = 4.926
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home - Avery Collection is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 95 registered maximum number of service users is 19, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I’ve worked in the care sector since 2005, progressing from Care Worker to Registered Manager in 2011. I’ve managed various services, including private, not-for-profit, and social services settings, as well as two domiciliary agencies. My qualifications include Level 5 in Health and Social Care, Level 3 in Dementia Leadership and Palliative Care, and Level 2 in Mental Health and Nutrition.

After five years at Esher Manor/Avery, I transferred to Cliveden Manor/Avery in August 2023. I joined the Chertsey Parklands team in September 2025.

I am very passionate about the health care sector, and I believe I have found my niche within the care home environment, combining my business experience with my experience in care.

I enjoy getting to know our residents and helping engage with community links to further enrich the residents' lives with the benefit of what the community links can bring to our home.

My name is Lynn, and I’m proud to be part of the Chertsey Parklands family. My journey into care started many years ago. I have worked in various roles, and it has shaped the way I see people, purpose, and community. I have been a carer in the community, a care assistant in a home, a team leader med tech, a Senior Carer, a Residential care manager, and a home trainer, but have found my passion in the business side of the care sector.

Every day in our home reminds me why I’m here. I get to support incredible residents who have lived extraordinary lives, people who have taught me about resilience, laughter, patience, and love. Whether I’m supporting a resident with an invoice or having a morning chat with a resident, I’m reminded that small moments often make the biggest difference.

Working in care isn’t just a job for me, it’s a calling. I believe everyone deserves dignity, connection, and joy at every stage of life and being able to help create that, one smile, one story, one gentle moment at a time, is something I’m deeply grateful for.
Thank you for following our journey. I look forward to sharing more of the meaningful moments we experience here at Chertsey Parklands, where every day is an opportunity to show compassion and celebrate the people who came before us.

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2026

I am the Head Chef at Chertsey Parklands, with over 16 years of experience as a professional chef. My passion for working within the care sector comes from a very personal place. After caring for a loved one who sadly passed away, I felt a strong calling to give something back and to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

My journey began as a carer before I retrained as a chef, which has shaped the way I approach food and care today. I understand how much comfort, reassurance, and happiness a good meal can bring—especially to those who may be vulnerable or living away from home. For me, food is far more than nutrition; it is dignity, familiarity, and a powerful way of showing care.

I take great pride in creating meals that are not only nutritious and well-balanced but also comforting, enjoyable, and full of flavour. Seeing residents smile, reminisce, or simply enjoy a meal is what motivates me every single day. Their wellbeing and quality of life are always at the heart of everything I do in the kitchen.

One of my proudest achievements was being nominated for an in-house MasterChef competition, where I was selected among the top six chefs within a large organisation. Before moving into catering, I began my professional career in IT and hold a master’s degree, which supports my structured, thoughtful, and high-standard approach to kitchen leadership.

I am passionate about leading my team with kindness, consistency, and pride, and about creating a dining experience where residents feel respected, cared for, and truly at home.
