Woodland Manor Care Home

Outstanding, would be my one word review. However since I've been inside the NHS and another private care home recently I can confidently rate Woodland Manor as easily the best and least stressful. Simply the quality and attitude of care and catering staff is world class. Options and quality on food menu outstanding also. I have turned into a regular food photo journalist for my friends.

Lovely carers. Yes, good activities. Freedom to attend. Bar area and garden.

Mum was admitted for long-term care. Despite her reluctance to live in a care setting she adapted remarkably quickly and was genuinely happy living there. The care staff were respectful, open and professional in their approach. The admin staff were also very professional and I can't thank them enough for their help in mum's admission.

And I felt safe and secure at all times both with accommodation and the staff. I had a minor infection that was dealt with promptly and efficiently. For all excellent and very caring and the management helpful. Having come from hospital I was certainly more mobile when I returned home.

My mum has been a resident a couple of days and the staff have been excellent in making her feel welcome and she has surprised me with how well she has adapted and settled in.

Being a sociable person, my mother enjoyed interactions with the other residents and the activities and entertainment arranged for each day. Family were always welcomed to visit at any time and it was good to be able to sit with her in the “bistro”, for coffee, cakes and a chat. We found the staff at Woodland Manor to be very professional and caring. Alzheimer's finally beat Mum just before Christmas and the care home staff went out of their way to keep her comfortable, support us all and give us space at the end. I’m very grateful for all their care.

Following mum's unfortunate experience in a non-nursing care home, her move to Woodland Manor was managed very professionally with the minimum of delay and upheaval at what is a very busy time of the year. We have found the care staff to be very friendly and diligent in their care for mum and her general well-being.

The genuine warmth of the staff on my arrival and the continued help in settling in could not have been better.

My wife and I had no knowledge of care homes and provisions. After a recent fall, my wife (92 years old) has been admitted to this care home. We are amazed at the care and all facilities especially the caring staff at all levels. Thank you.

Very helpful and accommodating before mum came here. Lots of very friendly staff on arrival made us feel very welcome. Music playing, active feeling in the home.Great staff/resident interactions. Room all ready for mum.

Dad became a resident in February 2023 and since then the management and staff have been very kind and supportive of our family. I cannot thank everyone enough for giving my brother and me peace of mind knowing that Dad is content, safe and taken care of.

Throughout my stay at Woodlands Manor Care Home, I received great care and was happy there.

Woodland Manor Care Home is exceptional. They look after my grandparents with so much thought and care that I can relax. It is so pleasant to visit and see how well the staff know my grandparents and treat them as if they are family. I know care is expensive but this care is worth every penny. The whole family is looked after.

Very impressed at the dedication of all the staff. Excellent facilities. Staff always there if you need help, I enjoy talking to staff about their experiences as a carer. Everything is very well organised.

My mum has been a resident for 9 days and, as a family, we are very impressed and pleased with Woodland Manor and the staff.

My husband had respite care for one month and although would have preferred to be at home was pleasantly surprised at how well he was cared for. He was well cared for and enjoyed the company of the staff who were very caring and kind.

The home is welcoming and staff and residents are all friendly. Mum has progressed well and after a few days, has improved both mentally and physically.

Perhaps you will review and change your protocol regarding calling international phone numbers and family.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Woodland Manor - my family and I all say that if we ever needed a care home ourselves, then we would want one like Woodland Manor.

The carers and nursing staff treat my parent with dignity and kindness. They are meticulous about hygiene and cleanliness. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly towards both residents and visitors. As with all care homes, the retention of staff has proved difficult but this has not affected the overall level of care.
