The care given to my brother during his short stay at Woodland Manor was incredible. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff showed great patience and understanding. The room was spacious, clean and had everything that was required. The food he loved, a great variety. My brother died with dignity and respect and my family received the same at this most difficult time by all the wonderful staff.

During the time my husband was in Woodland Manor he was extremely ill with both a chest and urine infection. Without the care and dedication given by the staff, he wouldn't have survived - it was a touch and go situation we were told. The staff were so supportive and compassionate towards our family.

My mum was at Woodland Manor for two and a half years and received exceptional care throughout this time, despite having challenging behaviour at times. She had vascular dementia mixed with Alzheimer's. Her final days at Woodland Manor were the best I could ever have hoped for and thanks to the carers wonderful care that she received she passed peacefully.

I am always warmly received at the door and see my wife in the bistro. I cannot comment on rooms or dining areas as I have not seen them due to the Covid regulations at present. I assume they are excellent.

My introductory visit to ascertain the suitability of the care home for my relative was welcoming and provided all necessary information regarding facilities and finances. My sister has settled in well since moving here one month ago and appears to be happy. She has been taken on two outings recently to visit places of interest. Covid-19 prevention procedures were very thorough for all visitors and continue to be observed. A recent family fun day was well organised and enjoyed by all.

My husband had terminal cancer. After a period in hospital, he was considered 'too well' for a hospice; we did not know how long he would have to live. I reluctantly sought a care home when it became clear that his needs were too complex at this stage for him to be in our home. As soon as I walked into Woodland Manor I knew that this would be a place where I would have peace of mind about his care. The staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere was like a comfortable hotel. My husband was given a ground-floor room with French windows leading onto a lovely garden. Most important to me was the quality of care that he received. Extra restrictions on visiting were in place because of Covid, but there was sensitivity to our 'end of life' situation. The staff were clearly well trained in handling the sometimes complex care needs of my husband. They seemed genuinely to enjoy their jobs, and to think about how they could make a difference to the quality of life of residents.

Our Dad moved to the nursing care level at Woodland Manor in July 2021.
The staff are tremendously kind and caring, they keep us informed and welcome us when we visit.
Dad is safe, comfortable, happy, settled, well-nourished and engaging in activities and outings. His personal interests were noted with films and WW2, a visit to a local WW2 attraction was a memorable day for him.
The home is beautiful, clean, bright and spacious with a lovely energy, attractive gardens and a quiet location.
From our initial visit to consider the home, the efficiency of administration with Dad's transfer from hospital and the care received, my family are so pleased we chose here.

Thank you to all the team for your kindness and care.

My husband was sent to a care home for assessment before going to Woodland Manor. I cannot express my thanks to Woodland Manor, my husband who has dementia is happier here and eats well. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The whole atmosphere is different, it is really excellent! So friendly and really care for my husband.

My dealings with the home have been nothing but positive. I flew in from New Zealand to assist my Aunt to go into care - the home staff were extremely helpful and supportive during what was a very challenging and emotional time. Since my Aunt has been in the home she has blossomed. I can see that via the weekly FaceTime calls the home arrange. My Sunt is stimulated by the activities the home offers and is encouraged to maintain her own individual interests. I know that my Aunt is extremely well looked after and I am most grateful to all of the home staff who care so ably and kindly of my aunt.

The staff at Woodlands responded promptly and professionally when my mother needed an urgent assessment and subsequent admission. Despite the very difficult circumstance of the lockdown, every consideration was given to allow safe visits from the family within the covid guidelines. My mother was well cared for, and my elderly father was similarly cared for during his visits. After several weeks, my mother was discharged much improved.

I can honestly say having done much research and still belonging to carer support groups that Woodland Manor Care Home is quite an exceptional home for my family member. They possess something that is difficult to find in most of the homes I have visited. They have a genuine feeling of care instilled in all the team. It is an absolute pleasure to watch and I feel blessed and happy to have Woodland Manor as part of my family. Thank you
