Woodland Manor is situated in the charming village of Chalfont St Peter, set in beautifully landscaped gardens where residents can enjoy plenty of outdoor space. Providing expert residential, dementia, nursing and respite care 24 hours a day, the home supports individuals with wide-ranging needs.

There is an excellent choice of activities to keep mind and body active courtesy of a dedicated activities and wellbeing team, and a minibus ensures residents can enjoy regular trips and outings.

I can honestly say having done much research and still belonging to carer support groups that Woodland Manor Care Home is quite an exceptional home for my family member. They possess something that is difficult to find in most of the homes I have visited. They have a genuine feeling of care instilled

My aunt was diagnosed with vascular dementia at 80. She tried care at home but could not bear the intrusion or the loss of control. She tried three Homes over two years. The third found her impossible. Then, at her most angry and bruised, she moved to Woodland Manor Care Home (WMCH). Her distress manifested
itself in more difficult behaviour. WM demonstrated exceptional patience from the start. When one idea did not work, other imaginative, practical suggestions were made. She began to believe the carer around her that would dress her extra-nicely, or read poems with her, or take her for a coffee, or tell her “you look fabulous” or just talk and listen. She became at last secure. Specifics? lovely rooms and a sense of space. The division into four areas gives a sense of a closer community but there is a buzz when everyone gets together. Activities are varied, flexible and never cancelled because just one person turns up. Management is kind, wise and courteous. Families are thoughtfully supported. They made her happy.

As my cousin's next of kin and Power of Attorney, I can say that we are extremely pleased with his care at Woodlands. The house and gardens are really superb and the atmosphere is more like a first-class boutique hotel than an institution.
I have consistently found the staff in every department to
be efficient and most caring. Any little problem is solved efficiently with great empathy.
I believe my cousin regards Woodlands as his home and is very happy there.

An excellently run care home which is staffed by the most caring folk who have patience with the residents and the utmost concern for their wellbeing. Communication with relatives is excellent and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Activities are plentiful and there is always a cheerful attitude no
matter what issues present themselves. My only criticism would be that perhaps daily menus should be more traditional and basic.

Beautiful facilities and outstanding garden where my dad and I enjoyed making some lovely memories to treasure.
Kind and caring staff. My dad enjoyed lots of laughs with the care team. Excellent food. Staff went overboard with support. When my father passed away the staff formed a "guard of honour"
as he left the home for the last time. The Head of care came to support us at his funeral and I will be forever in their debt. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Excellent facilities, my father felt very safe and happy during his stay. Management visible by nursing staff and administration, to a high level. Nursing staff at all levels that cared for my father demonstrated a great deal of empathy, kindness and compassion. My father's stay was three weeks and
it was very clear he was very settled. I would definitely use Woodland Manor again.

I always feel welcome and understood, ie my needs as a carer! Home is a warm, comfortable, relaxed, well engaged and furnished. Nice pictures in communal areas. Lots of smiling staff around, all of whom seem to know my husband and to manage him well - better than I can! I feel I can ask for help and

Recent improvement in management is encouraging after a lengthy period of change which brought about a feeling of lack of confidence and support and low morale for the staff as a whole.
The nursing and care staff have been excellent in dealing with the many challenges of my husbands advancing Alzheimer's
illness and I am very grateful for the kindness and support I have received in the 2 1/2 years my husband has been resident in Woodland Manor.
The general atmosphere is welcoming in all respects.

The staff are extremely kind and treat my mother with the utmost respect. They are clearly very experienced and confident when working with mature dementia residents.
Communication with Woodlands has been excellent, the management are proactive at keeping the family involved and informed. As a family,
we are very pleased with the care and consideration given to my mother.
Woodlands is new, clean and fresh with excellent facilities and activities. It would be nicer if the beds were 3/4 size rather than single.
On the first visit, there was no one on reception - for security, we would rather have seen the desk manned.

My husband was a resident at Woodland Manor for over two years until he passed away in July 2018. While they did have staffing problems due to the lack of public transport locally, I found the care to be of the highest standard. With a new manager in place, I feel the home will see even more improvement.

Dad was extremely well looked after in his time at Woodland Manor. Staff were polite and attentive at all times and also made visitors very welcome. Perhaps a system to take residents for mini-walks (15 mins) outside daily could be considered? Thank you for taking such good care of Dad

I am a highly motivated and compassionate individual with over 9 years of experience in the healthcare sector. I have dedicated my career to enhancing the quality of life of residents in my care and ensuring the smooth operation of the care facilities I manage. My expertise lies in managing day-to-day operations, leading a diverse team and implementing best practices to provide exceptional care and support for our residents and their loved ones.


In 2014 I began working as a healthcare assistant whilst waiting for my nursing registration, and I advanced through various roles within the company, demonstrating consistent dedication and acquiring new skills at each level.


By utilising my own experience, qualifications and personal dedication, I aim to ensure that every resident living at Woodland Manor receives the highest standard of care and enjoys living in a safe, supportive and enriching environment.
