The staff are always friendly and caring. The Manager Claire is very approachable and Jo on the reception desk is always smiley and really helpful. My Mum enjoys the food and there is plenty to eat! The activities are varied and Sarah and her team work hard to ensure there are interesting things to do. My Mum has her nails done each week and very much likes the weekly church service by a local vicar/curate in the home. The communication with families is good and I receive regular phone calls from the nurses asking for feedback about Mums care. Millway House looks good and always smells nice and clean. I would say it's a really good home.

He has been encouraged to express himself, whether verbally, or in the activities he has engaged in. It warms my heart to see him playing maracas or a tambourine, or to see his painting of a pheasant on the wall. The environment is pleasant and secure. I'm impressed at the organisational aspects of the care home, particularly the ability to share information instantaneously across all staff using electronic devices. consistency. Everyone genuinely cares and the relationships built with residents are heartfelt and professional. Kindness exudes from everyone who works there.
The activities are varied, well thought through and carried out with such joy. I fully trust my parents health and well- being to the nurses and carers, who also communicate with us whenever needed and whenever we ask. The carers work hard and manage their workload well, yet make each resident feel special and important. They really take time to get to know each resident and think about their preferences.
The rooms and facilities are kept spotless by the efficient, friendly and kind cleaning staff.

but what lifts Millway way above the bar is its positive vibe - the whole team makes us feel we're part of a family rather than paying customers. Everyone, regardless of job role, consistently shows up as friendly, welcoming, fun, professional and invested in making Mum's world the best it can be. Mum has her dignity back and is being gently encouraged to re-engage. We no longer worry about her welfare or possessions. Nothing is too much trouble. Call buttons are reacted to quickly. Info is listened to and acted upon. Emails are answered promptly and there are regular update phone calls. Millway is living up to its high reputation and we're very happy to recommend it.

The range of activities was excellent, and the activities co-ordinator spent a lot of time getting to know Mum on her first day there.
There are plenty of places where you can sit and have a coffee and chat when you visit.
Wonderful carers. Millway House ticked every box for us.
