When you walk into Montana Care Home, you walk into a family home. The Sisters and staff make everyone feel safe, cared for and included. The sitting room is comfortable and relaxed and there is a well-stocked library.

The food is really, really good, and the atmosphere in the dining room is fun

and relaxed with lots of conversation.

Outings around and about Bury St Edmunds are frequent and well organised, alongside events at the home like the recent VE Day celebration party which was really well attended with residents, friends and sisters enjoying the sunshine, music and celebratory food and drinks.

The home has a beautiful rose garden to the front surrounded by a flowering rosemary hedge. Lovely, tranquil gardens surround the home, including an 600 year-old oak tree annd lots of wildlife, and there's a pretty courtyard in the centre.

Montana is a truly wonderful home.

It all started with a Oakampton house.
Mum lived there for two years and during that time she was always acknowledge by all this Sisters making it's a lovely friendly community.
When Mum needed more care I had the support from Montana. It was a very smooth transaction. From Oakampton to Montana.
The care for my mum is 24/7, and nothing is too much trouble. They have got to know my mum, her like and her dislikes, and it is a pleasure for me to go in and see her smile on her face, ever time l see her. She is very happy, calm and contented.
It has been a blessing in disguise that we had moved to Oakampton .
I myself enjoy my visits to Montana as they are all one big happy family every single one of them from the gardener to the manager.
Who is the main heart of a successful carehome .

The Sisters at Montana are wonderful and very caring, nothing seems too much trouble. They are excellent at keeping us informed and up to date with my father's care, often sending messages and photos which is great as I obviously have limited time to go to visit.

I am a member of the clergy team in Bury St. Edmunds and several clergy from the Diocese of East Anglia, TR, MG, DH, have been residents at the Montana Care Home at Great Barton, Bury St. Edmunds.
I have visited the care home on many occasions throughout the year, and I have always been super impressed
at the quality of care, the cleanliness, the absence of offensive odour, the warmth of the staff and the commitment to the high standard as shared by the whole staff team. The staff training certificates on display, the availability of staff and staff the use of digital technology are evidence to me of investment by management and on-going professional development which gives me real assurance of striving towards best practices at the care home. I have felt re-assured of safeguarding and security at reception (signing in) and cameras in the corridors and identified safeguarding champion names and photos available for reporting any concerns I may have.
Demonstrating excellent leadership.

Mum has been welcomed so kindly to Montana. She settled in really quickly and immediately felt safe and looked after. Anything that needed to be clarified or sorted out has been dealt with promptly and the family are very happy that Mum is in such a friendly and caring place.
We have been provided
with all the information on medical and other matters which you want as a family, and this has given us confidence that Montana sees all of their residents as individuals and tailors their care accordingly.

My mother had been living at Montana Care Home for over three years. The care she receives is of a high standard, generally. The staff respond quickly to my mother's changing needs. Communication between staff and family is very good. They are receptive to any concerns we may have about our mother's
needs.
We particularly appreciated the trouble that Montana took to take everyone to a nearby pub for a Christmas meal. Our mother really enjoyed that despite her disability and the fact that she had to be hoisted into her wheelchair. The sisters create a lively and inclusive community with a variety of activities for residents to enjoy. I would be very happy to recommend this care home.

I have been visiting a friend who is a resident at Montana Care Home for most of 2024. The quality of the care is I have to say most excellent, nothing is too much for the Sisters who go above and beyond the duties of looking after the residents in their care.
There is I find a wonderful atmosphere
of love and caring, also catering staff and I have to say all staff I have been in contact with are positive lovely people.
I myself if I ever needed care would not hesitate to apply.
