My initial experience of Arlington Grove was in mid to late April when my father was admitted. The staff at Arlington were so professional and friendly , they made a very stressful day for us welcoming , calm and safe .
The Rooms, Facilities and Grounds at Arlington are of an exceptional standard ,
and this is complemented by a professional and caring staff.
I would recommend anyone whose in the same position to visit Arlington Grove , I think that you will struggle to find anything better.

My dad has been in Gracefields now for 15 months now and he is very settled their. The staff are so caring not only to my dad but to us his family. Dad does like a routine and the care that he gets with everyone. So thank you to you all of you with the great care you give. If you asked me 20 years agoif
I would of put my mum or dad in a care home I would of said no. But as Gracefields is amazing

My sister and I were warmly welcomed at Gracefields and very quickly decided it would be the best place for our mother. She moved in within a few days and has been very well cared for during her time there. She is warm and safe.

I feel my Uncle is very well cared for at Gracefields Nursing home. The staff are all very friendly and alway polite and respectful.
Roy is always clean shaven and washed and changed every day, Roy loves his Tropical Fish and staff will feed them daily and turn the lights on and off for him. He
has a good choice of food daily.
The only negative is the furniture in his room needs fixing, door handles are broken on the wardrobe.
Reply from Abigail Garrett-James, Home Manager at Gracefields Nursing HomeThank you for your understanding and for bringing these matters to our attention. We appreciate your feedback and are committed to providing the best care and support. Dad lived at Gracefields for 6 years, reflecting the excellent standard of care delivered by a strong team of committed staff. During this time, whenever we had concerns we have been listened to and action taken to meet Dad's needs. Whilst the building and location is great, it is the staff that has
made Gracefields home for Dad. Cheerful and friendly, everyone makes time to connect. Dad enjoyed strong relationships with the staff and they took time to engage with Dad's interests during one to one. When Dad passed away, all the staff were amazing, and couldn't have done more to preserve his health, comfort and dignity. Thank you Gracefields.
Reply from Abigail Garrett-James, Home Manager at Gracefields Nursing HomeDear Sandra,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind review of our services. We truly appreciate your heartfelt words and the opportunity to care for your dad.
It was evident how much his love and passion for sing-alongs, as well as his enjoyment of pub meals and socialising with staff, meant to him. His character shone brightly through those moments, and it was a privilege for us to be part of his social interactions and daily life.
We are grateful for the support and openness from your family, which allowed us to get to know him better and understand his life story. This understanding enabled us to work in partnership with you to ensure his care was not only attentive but also meaningful, helping him enjoy optimal socialisation and meet his care and support needs.
Being entrusted with your loved one was truly a privilege, and we are grateful for your trust.

I enjoyed two weeks' excellent respite care after a CAR T cell transplant at Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. The fine facilities and kind, caring staff provided an ideal environment in which to recover from 3 intense weeks in hospital of chemotherapy and post transplant issues. The food was
excellent and every day I much enjoyed walking around the garden paths for exercise. The staff took good care of my medication, observation and other needs. It felt more like being in a brand new boutique hotel than a care home.
Reply from Rebecca Green, Home Manager at Arlington GroveThank you so much for sharing your experience. It's wonderful to hear that your respite stay provided such comfort and support after an intense period of treatment.

My grandmother was initially hesitant to move into a care facility, but she is now very comfortable in her new home. The staff and room is fantastic. She has found socialising with other residents to be an adjustment but she is now engaging with more activities. My grandmother is very happy and comfortable
at Gracefields.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind review of our care home. It was truly our privilege to care for and support your grandmother with personalised attention and dedication.

This review covers my husband's admittance to Gracefield's dementia wing. He can be very difficult but the Gracefield's staff took on the challenge he presented, treating him with great kindness. The same staff also showed kindness + understanding to me as I was naturally concerned about him. They are
working steadfastly towards settling him in to the home.
Reply from Cosmin Nistor, Interim Home Manager at Gracefields Nursing HomeDear JB,
Thank you for your kind acknowledgment of our care and compassion. We have listened carefully to the challenges you are experiencing with your husband. With an empathetic heart, we are committed to supporting him and meeting his needs.
We strive to work closely with other multidisciplinary teams to ensure that his care is personalised and centered around him. Your review of our service and your partnership in this journey are greatly appreciated, as they help us to achieve the best possible outcomes for your husband.

Thank you once again.

Arlington Grove

Arlington Grove is a superb care home. It feels far more like a hotel than a care home and the facilities (and food!) are excellent. We've used the Family Room for Mum's birthday which had been beautifully decorated by the staff and other highlights include the lounges, bar, hairdressing salon, cinema
and beautiful gardens. Pets are welcome and we usually take along our dog who also loves the gardens.

The staff are exceptional, always highly professional, friendly and caring. There are lots of activities arranged and the staff work really hard to care for Mum and the other residents. The support from the staff (both during the settling in period and ongoing) has been brilliant.

It's been a 'challenging' few months making the move to a care home but we firmly believe we couldn't have found a better place than Arlington Grove.

Reply from REBECCA GREEN, Home Manager at Arlington GroveThank you for such a heart-warming review. It is our pleasure having your Mum as part of the Arlington Grove family.

My aunt has been a resident of Gracefields for 12 years. She was transferred from hospital with numerous health problems. Within weeks she was back on her feet and enjoying her life at the home. Staff have always looked after my aunt with caring attitudes. I have always felt she was well looked after
in a safe environment. My aunt had full mental capacity so she would have said if anything was not up to her standard and I felt very assured when she moved there. During her 12 years there she was always been well looked after, clean and her room kept very well. Staff are always friendly and professional. It was only through the care she received that she lived for 12 years.
Reply from Abigail Garrett-James, Home Manager at Gracefields Nursing HomeDear JP,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for giving us the privilege of caring for your aunt over the past 12 years at Gracefields. The staff have many fond memories of her and recall her with great warmth. As you rightly pointed out, she treasured her autonomy, and our team worked closely with her to develop a meaningful relationship built on respect and understanding.
She truly enjoyed her time with us, and much of her happiness was supported by the unwavering presence and support of her niece, who always stood by her side, providing for her needs and liaising closely with staff. Her life at Gracefields was filled with purpose and connection, and she left a lasting impression on everyone who cared for her.
Thank you once again for entrusting us with her care and for the meaningful memories you've helped create. It has been a great privilege to support your aunt and to work alongside you over these years

We highly recommend Gracefields. Staff are skilled and professional and kind and respectful, and have caring relationships with the residents. Food is varied, appetising and there is plenty of choice. Rooms and bathrooms are always clean, and laundry seems to come back to the right person. One to one

"We were lucky enough get Mum into Gracefields Carehome in Downend after moving her twice. We can't praise Mum's care & attention enough during her 3 years there. The garden space mustn't be underestimated. The care given at Gracefields wasn't just for the lady we knew and loved, but for the lady they
met with dementia. The care was professional and towards the end it became more gentle & considered, giving Mum the dignity she deserved. As a family, the support from the whole team was very much appreciated
and this made a very sad situation more bearable with their kindness, calm and professionalism".
