Dad's stay at Saville Manor was very difficult for him and for us as a family because he just wanted to be at home but the staff at Saville Manor did their very best to support dad and the family in every way they could. Dad's main nurse, as well as others, was outstanding and so caring towards dad
and the family. We will always be grateful for their support and care at the most difficult time in dad's life.
Reply from Femi Joseph, Home Manager at Saville Manor Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly meant a great deal to us to know that Dad felt at home at Saville Manor.
We are very grateful for your acknowledgment of the care and support provided by the Saville team during such a difficult time. Thank you especially for your kind words that "Dad's main nurse, along with all the staff involved in his care, showed outstanding compassion and dedication to both Dad and our family."
We will be sure to share your generous feedback with the entire Saville team.

My mother was a resident for just over 2 years and during that time, she was cared for and made to feel safe in her home, thanks to all the incredible care staff at Saville Manor. I don't want to mention anyone specifically for fear of missing someone, but from the nursing team to the cleaning staff,
mum and I got to know them personally. All I can say is thank you for everything.

My mum has been a resident at Waltham House for two and a half years. She has dementia and poor mobility. Mum's behaviour can be challenging, but she is looked after by kind and patient carers, and I know she is safe.

My sister-in-law had been cared for by Arbour Walk since June 2021 until her death on the 7th November 2025. She had dementia and I cannot praise this home enough for the way that they looked after her. She was treated with respect, dignity and as a person, not someone who had lost their faculties.
Every single member of staff always greeted you with smiles. Nothing was too much trouble and someone was always on hand to answer questions.

We will actually miss visiting because there was always a lovely welcome. An extremely well run home with wonderful staff.

I am very impressed with the standard of care that my parents have received at Dearbourne Manor and the attention given to their overall wellbeing as individuals, as well as their basic care and nursing needs. The care team are always friendly, helpful and responsive to suggestions and have been very
supportive at difficult times. The carers have developed real bonds with my parents and my father has really appreciated occasional organised outings to places special to him or that bring back happy memories. There is also a lovely garden which he enjoys spending time in.

Saville Manor Nursing Home

from R C (Next of Kin) published on 5 November 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dear friend been very happy at Saville Manor since moving in 4 months ago. She is in her nineties, has memory problems and needs a wheelchair and help with personal care and with eating. The kindness and involvement and commitment of the staff has been clear. She has been encouraged to join with
many activities - high points were an art exhibition and the summer fair. The atmosphere is lovely, carers are always around engaging with residents, there is always something going on.
The system for communication with next of kin has been efficient and reassuring and professional - with excellent response to emails and information being sent to me immediately by email - but also friendly and personal when I visit.
Her medical needs have been very well met; the nursing staff are lovely and very good and work well with GP and hospital consultants.
The building itself, especially the lounge and dining room where my friend spends most of her time, is really beautiful with views of the Downs.
Reply from Femi Joseph, Home Manager at Saville Manor Nursing HomeThank you for your exceptional review. We are delighted to learn that your friend is content at Saville Manor. Your commendations regarding the kindness and dedication of our staff are sincerely appreciated. It is gratifying to hear that our residence maintains a vibrant atmosphere, offering a variety of activities such as the art exhibition and summer fair. We pride ourselves on efficient and amicable communication with next of kin. Furthermore, we are pleased that your friend's medical requirements are being adequately addressed, with our nursing staff working collaboratively with general practitioners and specialists. I will ensure that your kind remarks are conveyed to our Saville team.

My mother was admitted to Arbour Walk at the end of August 2025. She was transferred for end of life care. Mum had Alzheimer's. The staff at Arbour Walk were kind, caring and compassionate. They took excellent care of mum and nothing was too much trouble. I had struggled to care for mum at home. My
last days with her are now with memories of mum being clean, cared for 24 hrs all her needs being met. The staff also welcomed us when we visited they were friendly and kind. I cannot praise this home enough. As a retired nurse I found the care excellent, above and beyond.

My mum-in-law had been a resident at Arbour Walk in Bristol for a few short weeks before her death recently.
We visited several times and in her last week and just wanted to say how impressed we have been with the facilities, level of staffing and care shown to her.
We have found everything extremely
clean and the staff attentive, smiling, friendly and caring. The nurse in charge has taken time to answer the questions we had and was very reassuring regarding how mum has settled in and her care needs.
Would highly recommend to anyone needing care for a loved one.

My experience with Arbour Walk has been in one word: 'excellent'. My husband was firstly in for respite, then became permanent. The staff are so helpful, friendly and always very cheerful. My husband didn't settle at first, but the staff always communicated what was happening. Staff did their best to
settle him, but things became difficult, so hospital admission was necessary. After 3 weeks in hospital, his medication has been sorted and he is much more settled. Even though my husband was in the hospital, Arbour Walk were always checking with the hospital and me to see how things were progressing. He has returned now, much more settled and being looked after brilliantly. Thank you so much, you don't know how much it means to me.

Saville Manor Nursing Home

from John H (Husband of Resident) published on 25 September 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Saville Manor deserves its excellent reputation and I recommend it without hesitation.

My wife lived in Saville Manor for almost four years from 2021 to 2025 and she was very happy there. She was paralysed below the waist so mainly bed-bound, needing two carers for all personal care.

The nursing

staff are excellent and they managed her health very well, quickly picking up any problems.

The caring staff are just wonderful. They were always happy, cheerful and smiling and they engaged very well with my wife and I the whole time she was there. Despite leaving hospital with a severe bed sore, she never got another while in Saville Manor, a testament to the carers' alertness and their constant repositioning of her.

The food is very good as are the facilities. It has lovely gardens in which we sat and the Downs spread from its front door. It has more than adequate parking for visitors. Buses 1, 2, 2A, 3, 4 and U1 to the city centre all pass less than half a mile from the home.

Reply from Femi Joseph, Home Manager at Saville Manor Nursing HomeHi John,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely 5-star review for our team. We truly appreciate your kind words. Your spouse was with us for four incredible years, and it was always heartwarming to see her with that bright smile on her face. Her positivity contributed to the uplifting atmosphere at Saville Manor, and we are grateful to have been a part of her journey. We also recognize your dedication as a husband. Your daily visits to her showed such commitment and love, which not only meant the world to her but also to all of us who were fortunate enough to witness the bond you shared. You became an integral part of our Saville Manor family-a place we like to call "home sweet home."Your support and encouragement throughout these four years have been invaluable to us, and we truly cherish the relationship we built together. Thank you for being such a wonderful part of our Saville Manor nursing home,I will share your kind words with the Saville team.
