My son was placed here after 4 weeks in hospital with an incurable brain tumor. The overall care in Somerhill was excellent. The staff were very caring and treated my son with the utmost dignity. I would highly recommend this care home.

After moving Dad from a home that couldn't offer nursing care, he has now settled into Somerhill very happily.
He has a lovely room with views over countryside and all the staff look after him with lots of care and plenty of smiles.
Staff are always available to help with any issues or problems and
the nursing staff with all his medical needs

My father has been at Somerhill for nearly 3 1/2 years now. He is very well looked after and has a lovely clean airy room overlooking the gardens. All staff are friendly, welcoming and always have a ready smile for residents and their families.
The staff cannot do enough to make the residents feel happy,
comfortable and at home. I cannot find fault in anything and am happy that my father is very well cared for.

My mother was living at Somerhill from July 2024 until November 2025 when she died.


I couldn't have asked for a better home.
Mum was very close to the carers.


The home is clean, modern and set in beautiful gardens. Everyone is well fed and looked after including the visiting relatives.

Although my mums stay with you was very brief (only four weeks) we were very impressed with the care she received. From our interview with the manager to access the place to the way mums death was handled at the end was first class. Mum was very happy there and commented several times on how she was
treated and how lovely the staff were.

Having worked in the care sector myself, I can give an honest opinion of our experience at Somerhill and I would like to say my close friend spent her days in a beautiful setting with the care and attention from who ensured she was comfortable with all needs met. Not only did my friend feel the closeness
of the member of the staff, but I was always made to feel welcome, greeted with a smile and politeness as soon as I walked through the door.

My parents both moved in within a week of each other at very short notice. The care which has taken to make them feel at home was brilliant, along with assessing all elements of their needs. I so appreciated the kindness and help by the manager and all the staff at such a difficult time for our family.

Like always, when visiting my grand, the staff were happy, welcoming and polite. Couldn't do enough, always chatty and smiley. Great to see the manager popping in to chat to residents at lunchtime.

When visiting with our dog we were welcomed by staff and a manager. Helped with negotiating entry/exit doors and our dog was introduced to other residents! As always, a very welcoming, homely atmosphere. Our relatives both very well cared for. The daily activities and the outings particularly good for

Somerhill is an excellent care home. The home itself is light and bright, the large expanse of garden is absolutely beautiful and the countryside view is stunning. Most importantly the staff and managers are excellent, the interaction from carers to the residents is commendable. I have seen such kindness
and the staff are happy and caring. My mother is happy and well cared for which makes me happy.

My aunt has been at Somerhill Care Home for 3 very happy years. Recent;y new flooring throughout has been completed and gives a lovely new clean & crisp finish. Staff are exceptional all so caring and never with out a smile. Food is a big thing with most people & here it is the best.

My sisters and I are very happy to have our father so well looked after. Whenever I have visited, there is a welcoming feeling. Staff are kind and friendly. The food always smells delicious and I know that there are no complaints from our father. There is always something happening in the lounge which
I know our father enjoys. The nursing care is competent and caring. The home is clean and fresh, as is his room. The grounds surrounding the home are beautiful which complements the view perfectly. Overall we are very satisfied with his care.

My mother has been part of the Somerhill community for almost a year and she has been beautifully looked after within this warm and caring environment. The staff are wonderfully kind and friendly, and there is a relaxed and positive atmosphere throughout.
Mum loves her room with a view of the garden
and the well kept gardens are a delight for visiting family members too.
Somerhill definitely gets 5 stars from us!

Staff friendly. Facilities amazing. The impression and feel of the place is very positive and friendly. Nursing staff excellent and very communicative. Excellent activities mother-in-law has dementia and is benefiting from the social contact. The manager is an absolute star. 5 stars from me!

Only positive things to say about Somerhill and the amazing, caring staff that work there. They looked after my mother for over two years until she recently passed away and she (and her family) were treated with the utmost kindness at all times.
