My 91-year-old mum has been here since August. She had lost some of her sparkle and lost interest in things in general, but since coming here to live, she now has her sparkle back and enjoys joining in with the activities. This has made things so much better for her and us as a family.

My gran has been in The Lodge since August and I can honestly say that this has been such a positive move not only for her but also for us as a family. Over the past year, she had lost her 'sparkle' but since moving into The Lodge she now has a new lease of life, she loves being around the other residents,
the meals are lovely and the activity program is amazing in fact she enjoys it so much we have become an inconvenience to her when we visit as it takes her away from the time she spends with everyone else! Regarding the care aspect, this is first class, communication with the management team/staff members has far surpassed any expectations that I had, and nothing is too much trouble. Whenever we call to see her (on spec) she is always clean, well cared for and having a great time. I would not hesitate to recommend The Lodge to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their loved ones, it is a very hard decision making the move into a care home but we are so pleased we chose here.

My mum has lived here since last October, she has Dementia. The staff are exceptional in their care of residents, they are always clean, the chefs prepare fresh meals daily and they always look delicious. We visit when we want and that is always a good sign. There are 2 ladies who do activities throughout
the day, they take residents out they have parties like the one for D-Day and singers coming in scouts, local Priest comes and does a service they have a beautiful garden they can sit out in and have BBQs. It's a small well-run care home and we are thankful our mum is there as she is happy and we are happy.

Dad was very well cared for by a great team at the Lodge, though understaffed and overworked the team was appreciated by all my family. I note there is no facility to review the company Roseville Care Homes here - and this is the focus of my serious complaint. When Dad passed away another payment of
monthly fees had been made. So I expected it would be straightforward to recover this. The accounts department sent me a claim form and explained that they need 60 days to consider this. This period came and went, but no refund. In a phone call, I was promised repayment within the week, alas nothing. My emails and phone calls are not answered. My family is appalled at the lack of courtesy, considering our dad had lived there for some years his life savings were spent there. Some families might not expect refunds of overpayments, and clearly Roseville do not see this as important. I now have to involve solicitors to try and recover this money and CQC notified. Feedback here from Roseville, please?

My mum originally went into The Lodge care home in May 2023 initially for respite and is still there at present. Mum has been the happiest I have seen her in a long time, and this is due to the wonderful caring management team, activities team, and all the staff who work there. They really have helped
my mum to come out of herself, and have encouraged her to join in with activities, which she thoroughly enjoys. Garden parties, trips out for meals, flower arranging and baking to mention just a few. Mum's room is beautiful, home from home, and have even encouraged Mum to try different foods, which she is enjoying. It's not an easy decision to make when contemplating care for parents/family but myself, my wife and father can honestly say it was the right thing to do, her smile says it all when we arrive, and this is all down to the care at The Lodge. Each and everyone is amazing. Well done to you all, and a very big thank you to you all for what you do and are doing.

I can't praise the staff at The Lodge care home highly enough as a family we can now spend quality time with my sister, the difference in her is amazing, all the staff are so loving and caring, it's like walking into a family, I can't believe how lucky we are to have found somewhere like this.

Our family are really encouraged by the care my mother is receiving at The Lodge. Although she was unsettled to begin she soon relaxed and became part of the lovely community who reside there. She loves her room, her new friends and the staff and is happy to take part in so many relevant activities
which she has missed out on for such a long time. From a happy daughter.
