My Dad was at the Kenrick centre for three months and my Mum was there for seven months. The care was excellent on both the emergency assessment unit and the residential unit. Both parents were sad to have to leave.
I would be very happy for both parents to stay there permanently.
The staff were very
caring and pleasant.Communication with me was always good, I felt that they were safe there.
The building is very practical, clean and comfortable. The surrounding park and gardens are beautiful which make it a lovely place to live if you can't be at home.

My aunt has been a resident here for approximately four years. She is very well cared for.
The staff are always welcoming to visitors and the place is always very very clean.
My aunt is encouraged to mobilise with her zimmer frame. She has oedema in her ankles and feet and her skin is very delicate.
The
staff have managed to prevent leg ulcers by applying cream to the area every day.
My Aunt enjoys the meals and is encouraged to drink plenty of fluids. She has a lovely en suite room.
She enjoys socialising with the staff and other residents and she tells me that she is happier now than when she was young!

The care was great but when she fell in Kendrick House and was sent to hospital staff was vile. l have mental health problems and the manger said she would not have my mum back because of me and said l was rude, not having my mum's best interest at heart. l said l would not visit then, other than a
p2 bed, said the manager had spoken to them regarding to my mum and because of me don't take her, my mum soul is destroyed and staff on reception taking personal calls and doing scratch cards.

The care, support and encouragement my mom received during her stay at the unit was outstanding. She went from strength to strength. Mom made special relationships with some of the staff who went above and beyond. Without them, Mom wouldn’t be as well as she is today. Thank you so much.

My sister was transferred from Hospital to Kendrick Centre, without informing me that they were going to transfer her, and I believe that Kendrick Centre hadn’t been informed that she was arriving.
Everyone at the centre were so kind and helpful, they couldn’t do enough to make my sister feel comfortable
and at home. During the time she was there, I noticed a difference in my sister, she had put on a little weight, and looked better in herself, although she is 93 and I don’t expect miracles, She was so unsteady on her feet, in fact, she couldn’t stand up alone when she was in Good Hope Hospital, but she did manage to walk with her frame with the nurse close by.
So I would just like to thank everyone at Kendrick Centre for what they have done to help my sister.

I must say I came to see my dad on his birthday and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the home and the way it was run. I haven't been to see my dad for months but I must admit they're looking after him greatly. They seem friendly and I am so grateful for what you all do for my dad.

Stayed on the 2nd floor for 8 weeks. The staff were all kind to me and helped me get through one of the hardest times of my life. I was diagnosed wrongly in hospital and sent there; so was a bit of a shock when I arrived as I had no idea I'd been diagnosed with dementia and Addison's disease. I'm not
going to mention names as everyone played their part in my recovery. I've no doubt in my mind I'd be a dead person by now. So if you are worried about a family member staying there, I can tell you wholeheartedly they will be looked after very well. Once again, special thanks to all the people who helped me.

My husband was in the care home for two weeks. I found that the staff were very kind and treated him with respect. They were very caring and I was quite happy for him to be there. The room he had was lovely. Everybody was nice and obviously liked their job as it showed in how they were.

Mom was sent to the Rehabilitation Unit from the hospital - staff there were brilliant with Mom, they treated her with respect and nothing was too much trouble for them. Mom enjoyed the meals. Thank you to all the carers and physio's that looked after Mom. Mom was discharged last Friday after 2 weeks
in there.

My mother arrived at Perry Tree for rehabilitation after surgery. I am very sorry to say that little was done for her. In the fairly lengthily period she was there she saw a physio once and assistants a few times. Mostly she sat in a chair or lay on her bed. When she left Perry Tree her walking
had not progressed at all. Thanks to six visits from the early intervention team, she is now able to walk, assisted only by a frame, across her bedroom from her bed to her chair.
The issue of using the toilet also needs to be mentioned. My mother had long waits of 30 minutes before she was taken to the toilet using a molift.
Perry Tree is also very difficult to contact by phone. There were days when I could not get an answer at all.
It really does grieve me to write about Perry Tree in this way. I believe deeply in the concept of the NHS and I know that it is underfunded and understaffed - but it seems that, for most of the time, my mother did very little other than sit in her chair.

My mom has been here for a few weeks, slowly recovering from a knee replacement. We are so grateful to all the wonderful staff and physiotherapists for their care. It’s very difficult with limited visiting, but I know she is in good hands and hopefully will be home soon. The reason I mark activities
as satisfactory is only because of recent limitations on her physio at weekends and maybe, at times, not enough nursing staff available to mobilise her more because they are so busy.

I've given a 1 star as it won't let me select 0 star which is what I would select as this centre is horrendous and inhumane.
My mom was sent there in November last year, after a short stay in hospital to have some rehabilitation which they did NOT do any with her
Mom was there for 5 days in total
before she was very quickly discharged as they had an outbreak of COVID and no, they did not test mom before she left. So yes, once mom came home she was very ill because she caught covid in there and was rushed back to hospital and developed illnesses as a backlash of the Covid, the Dr told me.
Whilst mom was in there, one night she asked the nurse to take her to the toilet for a no 2. The nurse told her she couldn't because there was no other member of staff to help her, disgraceful. Then she told mom you'll have to do it in your pad and left mom's room. Mom called me really upset and I had to call the manager to report the nurse. I was disgusted. The social worker was useless and had no compassion at all.

My mum has been at Perry Trees Care Home for just over a week, and we couldn’t be more delighted with how well mum has settled, in particular, in these difficult Covid times. All the staff please take a bow! Your devoted care has enabled Mum to feel welcome and cherished in what could have been a very
difficult week.

Excellent service, lovely staff, location very nice. Was looked after well. Food was good, though sometimes had to wait 20 mins for it to be dished out, saying that it was warm when served. Select activity groups provided per weekday, was nice to get involved and encouraged by staff to meet new people
and try new things out.
