Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It was a privilege for our team to care for your mum and to be part of her journey. We are deeply touched to know that she felt loved, cherished and understood during her time with us.

My Auntie was very well looked after at Wheatsheaf Nursing Home and although she couldn't really communicate with us (due to her Alzheimers) she seemed happy, safe and content here. The staff were friendly and efficient. Some nice activities and events were organised which my Auntie enjoyed joining in with. I would recommend.

Our team works hard to provide compassionate care and meaningful activities for all our residents, so it is lovely to know that she enjoyed taking...
I am grateful that my elderly mum was able to spend her final days at Wheatsheaf Court. The staff treated her with compassion and care. Spending time getting to know her and providing companionship. The standard of care was exceptional throughout, tailoring Mum's support to meet her needs and also discussing these with myself. It was heartwarming to see how Mum interacted with the team throughout her short stay. I am happy that she spent her final days surrounded by such a caring team.
It means so much to hear that you felt supported and that your mum was treated with compassion, dignity and kindness. Our team always strives to provide person-centred...
My husband spent a year in the carehome until his passing in January 2026. From the first day he was looked after as an individual, not just a resident. I found all the staff were kind and caring and treated him with respect. Visitors were made to feel welcome and were impressed by the care that he received. I never arrived without being greeted with a smile and the support I needed. The staff do an amazing job in looking after people with varying needs,

It's wonderful to hear such positive feedback! We're so glad we could provide excellent and caring respite care for your husband while you recovered from your hip replacement. Knowing he was always smiling and happy when you visited truly means a lot to our team. Thank you for recommending us.
This review relates to the handover of our brother, the patient. The staff and the Manager were very helpful and pleasant. We were shown the room which our brother would be staying in and he was escorted to dinner on arrival. The staff appeared professional and polite in their manner and open to questions that we had regarding our brother's ongoing needs and care.
My Dad was admitted to Wheatsheaf Court in April 2024, after a prolonged stay in hospital. The family was concerned about how he might respond to permanent care in a nursing home, as he could be a difficult patient at times. We needn't have worried. We had a lengthy discussion with managers about his current needs as well as his past likes, dislikes and hobbies and from day one he was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff. Everyone at Wheatsheaf Court understands the heartbreak of dementia and they are always willing to take the time to provide reassurance and care to the families as well as to the residents (this is so important, as families can find the stages of dementia as well as the care system itself bewildering at times). My Dad is comfortable and very well looked after and you couldn't wish for a cleaner, brighter, happier and more welcoming environment for someone who needs such a high level of care. Thank you to all.
We are absolutely thrilled to hear such wonderful feedback about your father's care at Wheatsheaf Court. It is incredibly rewarding to know that we have been able to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for him, while also providing support and reassurance to you and your family during...
My father became part of the Wheatsheaf family in April 2024, from the moment my father arrived the staff and management went above and beyond to help my dad, myself and my family. The staff provided my dad with excellent care, kindness and compassion. They got him engaged in activities, they took time to find his likes and dislikes and enabled him to participate in the things he liked most (darts and singing), they encouraged his independence. Since our father arrived at the Wheatsheaf, it was the happiest we had seen our father in a long time. I can’t begin to thank the staff for their care and dedication to my father. As a family, we will forever be grateful to them. I would highly recommend the Wheatsheaf for any loved one when that difficult decision comes, seeing my father smile will stay with me forever.
Thank you so much for this incredibly kind and heartwarming review about your father's experience at Wheatsheaf. We are overjoyed to learn that from the moment he arrived in April 2024, our staff made him feel so welcome and went above and beyond to understand his needs, preferences, and what makes...
The home provided exceptional and thoughtful care to my mother. The staff were always kind, patient, and sensitive. The home feels more like a family environment compared to other care facilities that are more like hospitals or hotels in the atmosphere, and this is a real plus. The manager went out of his way to understand my mother’s needs in terms of her food and care preferences and was always available for a chat. All the staff took time to talk and listen to my mother and really got to know her, she was genuinely touched by the kindness shown by her carers, as I was too. The nursing staff were excellent in monitoring her diabetes and pain levels – the team are lovely and credit to all of them for providing such a caring environment.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review of our care home. We are so pleased to hear that your mother received exceptional and thoughtful care from our staff. It's heartwarming to know that the family atmosphere and kindness of our team made such a positive impression. We strive to provide a...
I would highly recommend Wheatsheaf Court to anyone who is considering care for a relative. It is a happy caring home with a family atmosphere.

I have no problem recommending the care at the Wheatsheaf based off our experience. We are extremely grateful for the care from the whole team, all of whom are kind, compassionate and professional. They were organised and thinking ahead. They went out of their way to find ways to connect with my relative in their last few days and turned their passing into a peaceful experience. Forever grateful.
The kindness, compassion, and professionalism exhibited by the staff are truly commendable. Their proactive...
Did not see his room or the facility due to COVID19 restrictions.
Mum has been well cared for and the staff could not do enough for her. She has a lovely room and enjoys time spent getting to know everyone.
Thank you for your kind review, we are so pleased that Mum has settled well into the home and is enjoying her time with us.
Very happy with all staff and the care given to my father in his last weeks.
My Dad was brought into this care home one week ago and I cannot praise all the staff and management enough. The care and attention they have given to my Dad so far have been first class. The room he has been given is clean, bright and spacious and the food supplied is excellent in both quantity and choices. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone.
The nursing home provides a safe and caring environment for my mother at a difficult time at the end of her life.
All the staff at Wheatsheaf Court are very caring and generally nice people. The managers always have time for a chat if you would like, and I got regular calls regarding the well being of my Grandfather. The home is well kept, clean and welcoming. There's a real family feel about the place, you don't feel like you're in a soulless hospital, it's a great atmosphere with really great carers.
The home is always clean and tidy and constantly being updated.
I find Wheatsheaf Court staff very friendly and obliging which is a stark contrast to another home where my wife was formerly. So no complaints keep up this good work.
My mum has been in this nursing home for two years and previously she was in a care home for seven years. My mum can no longer do anything for herself except feed herself. She did occasionally, take part in the many activities in the care home but cant now. I am happy with the care that my mum receives at the Wheatsheaf. The staff and management are very helpful, friendly and caring. My mum is looked after very well and they really do care, not just look after her, feed and clean her. They hug her, chat with her and she feels included. She is content and happy and is always smiling. I feel happy to recommend the Wheatsheaf Home as I feel it is a happy, caring home for my mum, thanks.
