My Dad went to Highwell House in Feb '26. The decision was not easy. My mum and I made an appointment and met with the Manager; she was passionate and enthusiastic about her work and answered all our questions openly and honestly. It was clear that Highwell had excellent standards of nursing care, the home itself is lovely. We were shown around and commented on the 'feel' of the place. My Dad has settled well, the staff have got to know him, the care he is receiving is compassionate, caring and responsive. I know Dad is in safe hands.

One of the things that I like is that there is not high turnover of staff and some of the staff are still there that looked after my father in law.

My first experience was with the manager who assessed my husband in hospital. She was enthusiastic, efficient and knowledgeable with a friendly personality. I visited the home to check out the rooms available and the living areas for the residents. Very homely lounges with TV. A dining area with kitchen facilities which I could use to make a drink, biscuits available as well. Care staff on hand to see to the needs of my husband. Also looking after me if I needed a drink or wanted to stay for lunch. A conservatory available to book for Sunday lunch when relatives could join privately. Nurses on hand to monitor residents when needed. Very clean. No smells. Clothes cleaned/washed regularly. Personal care Inc hair, nails,feet provided. A programme of activities planned weekly to stimulate and entertain. A glass of something at lunch provided. Wine,sherry baileys if wanted. Caring and friendly staff which is a great comfort to me to know my husband is being well cared for.

The staff are all caring and considerate making the residents feel safe and the relatives reassured they are in the best place possible.

I have been so impressed by the care shown to my husband, and they are very caring towards me too. Nothing is too much trouble. When I can't be there to feed him, they do it instead and make sure he gets what he likes to eat

A wonderful care home, whenever I go to see my grandfather all the staff are lovely and caring, the way he interacts with them makes it clear that they make the residents feel part of the family and well looked after. Everyone is bright, smiley, kind and polite and clearly genuinely enjoys working at the care home.

I hope she has many happy years ahead in her new home.

Hazelhurst Care Home provided exceptional care for my mother during her short stay, and I'm truly grateful for the support they offered. From the moment she arrived, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and compassionate. They took the time to understand her needs, her routines, and the little things that helped her feel comfortable.

The team were consistently patient and kind, treating her with dignity and respect at every step. Communication was excellent - I was kept informed, reassured, and always felt confident that she was in safe hands. The environment itself was clean, calm, and well-organised, which made a noticeable difference to her comfort and wellbeing.

Although her time at Hazelhurst was brief, the care she received was thoughtful, professional, and genuinely heartfelt. I would happily recommend Hazelhurst Care Home to anyone looking for a supportive and caring environment for their loved one.

The level of care she received went far beyond standard duties. Everyone went out of their way to ensure she was comfortable, peaceful, and treated with the utmost dignity in her final days. The compassion you showed not only to her, but to our entire family as we navigated this goodbye, is something we will cherish forever. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your beautiful care-we are eternally grateful.

Facilities are excellent at Dulas Court. All staff and management are outstanding and all go way beyond what is expected. They all really care. The rooms and communal areas are always kept to a very high standard and attention to detail is exceptional. The food is out of this world, better than any restaurant, we eat with our mum on a regular basis and it is 1st class. Thank you Dulas for everything that you do.

Dulas Court continue to excel in everything they do. My mother has lived here for almost two years and I couldn't ask for more kindness and care. The staff make her feel loved and special. Any requests or suggestions put to them about my mum are listened to and acted on. I couldn't be more delighted with the care my mum has received. Highly recommend Dulas to anyone looking for the perfect place for thier loved one.

Dulas is a wonderful place. Always a warm welcome and my mother-in-law is very happy here. She always looks well and content when I visit and it is clear she is looked after with best attention and care. The staff are so lovely and the place has such a lovely atmosphere. Plenty of activities and the most beautiful gardens, all 14 acres, which we enjoy walking around with my mother-in-law.

My sister has been resident at Dulas Court for 4 years and she enjoys everything about her life there. She is safe, supported, well cared for and very well entertained with lots of fun and meaningful activities. Staff fully support my sister to engage in her many hobbies and they are very understanding of her needs. The team is well led and all of the staff are kind, caring and respectful. The house is homely and comfortable with wonderful gardens for residents to enjoy. My sister's needs are met perfectly at Dulas Court and both my sister and I could not be happier. Thank you to everyone at Dulas Court.

All the residents are treated like one big family, always happy & smiling.

Friendly & efficiently run care home. A great family feel to the house from the moment you walk through the door. The staff are always going the extra yard to ensure my mum, who suffers from Dementia, is safe and feels wanted. The daily entertainment is varied and excellent. It is clear a great deal of thought goes into entertaining the residents. A beautiful secure garden is a real bonus. A choice of many areas for residents to explore offering variations of interactions and peace and quiet. From a visitors perspective, the staff go out of their way to ensure myself and my four legged companions are felt extremely welcome.

Dad received excellent care during his final years. Would highly recommend Coldwells House.

Staff at Coldwells looked after my mum for end of life care in February 2026. Their care and kindness was exemplary for both my mum and her family at such a difficult time. There was regular liaison with hospice and GP teams. This reflected the compassionate care throughout my mum's stay at Coldwells House since 2018.
