Friendly & efficiently run care home. A great family feel to the house from the moment you walk through the door. The staff are always going the extra yard to ensure my mum, who suffers from Dementia, is safe and feels wanted. The daily entertainment is varied and excellent. It is clear a great deal of thought goes into entertaining the residents. A beautiful secure garden is a real bonus. A choice of many areas for residents to explore offering variations of interactions and peace and quiet. From a visitors perspective, the staff go out of their way to ensure myself and my four legged companions are felt extremely welcome.

Dad received excellent care during his final years. Would highly recommend Coldwells House.

Staff at Coldwells looked after my mum for end of life care in February 2026. Their care and kindness was exemplary for both my mum and her family at such a difficult time. There was regular liaison with hospice and GP teams. This reflected the compassionate care throughout my mum's stay at Coldwells House since 2018.

I do believe my sister received good care and attention during the eleven years she was in Coldwells House.

My mum was very well cared for and shown so much respect and love while she lived in Coldwells House. Everyone was friendly toward her and made sure they spoke loudly so she could hear them, especially important as mum had limited sight. Sadly Mum passed away on 2nd January but she was looked after before, during and after her death. Lovely people were with her all the time.

My sister moved into Coldwells House in June 2025. She was living alone before and has a number of health issues. She has benefited greatly from the extra daily support, regular nutritious meals, monitoring of her medication and fluid intake. She is able to partake in a variety of activities if she chooses. We are able to visit whenever we wish and feel very welcome as there is such a friendly atmosphere.

A most wonderful home. It feels like family when you enter the home, and is the same all the way through. You feel your family member are well cared for and respected and very safe. The best home and the best staff.

I can't praise Coldwells House enough. All staff go above and beyond to ensure my mum is happy and comfortable. They are all friendly and approachable and will always take time to stop for a chat when I visit. My mum always looks well cared for with her hair done and dressed well. I know she is safe and well cared for here, which I am so thankful for.

Coldwells House is excellent in every detail.

All the staff are so welcoming and friendly, and the care that they give is excellent. They take the time to talk to the residents and understand their needs. My mum has settled in so well, and it is nice to know my mum is cared for with dignity, compassion and a high standard of care. The rooms are comfortable, clean and homely. I cannot emphasise enough how happy and grateful I am that Mum is resident.

Every time you visit Coldwells the staff are very warm and welcoming to residents families and there never seems anything that's to much trouble for them if you have any worries or concerns.

Very friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. In a word Excellent.

Whilst my father was in the care of Coldwells House, he received care of a most professional standard together with compassion & kindness. All staff, whatever their role, were efficient, caring & kind.

My mother received exceptional care from Coldwells staff in the final days of her life. Staff were so kind, caring and attentive. They made sure Mum was comfortable, kept a close eye on her, attended to her gently and with respect. When the end came, she was never left alone and was in no pain. Staff were so kind to myself and my family too. We could not have wished for a better place for our mother to spend her final days, and we will all be forever grateful for the special care that Coldwells provided.

Slow to answer bell call. Mental health patients need more supervision and care. Night staff inadequate for number of beds.

Cannot fault any of the services. I feel there should be more care staff for the amount of beds here.
