My mother has spent almost three years in the home and I could not have asked for more love, care or attention from the staff. My mother passed away earlier this month and the staff were excellent to the end with her and with me.

Coldwells offered my mother 8 1/2 years of care. She felt safe here, something she didn't feel in her own home previously. They became her 'family' too. Her passing, 3 days after 6 weeks in hospital was dealt with professionally and with compassion to her and her family.

My mum took a long time to settle into care home life. The staff did all they could to help her. All the complaints I made were dealt with. There are always things going on and staff would encourage residents to participate.

Mum has been a resident at Coldwells House for almost four years. She has dementia, which over the year is much worse. She is always treated with care, dignity and also love.

My mother has been a resident at Coldwells House for over 5 years. Throughout this period, she has received excellent care from professional, kind staff. The care home and environs are of an excellent standard. Meals are tasty and appetising. Working with mum's GP and other healthcare professionals
Coldwells House have been able to care wonderfully. Mum has dementia but is included in many singing activities - she is a member of the choir. Our whole family rates Coldwells very highly and we are so glad we found such a fantastic home.

When Mum came to Coldwells House in November 2014 she was a very poorly lady. To us, the family, her future looked bleak. However, reassurances were given to us by members of staff that they could help Mum. The end result was that for 4 years Mum had a wonderful time, joining in with the daily activities
enjoying trips out and meals outside of Coldwells. To this end, we, the family, are very grateful for the love and care given to Mum during that time.

Coldwells House staff have always, without fail, looked after my mother to the very highest standards. Their very many activities especially singing have been the cause of constant enjoyment and stimulation for her. Sadly Mum passed away recently and the love, care and support shown to her and us as

An ambulance was called on doctors orders on the evening of 4th May. My uncle was entering palliative care for cancer but had a recurrence of a chest infection. The staff, his son and the ambulance crew jointly decided, as he was dying, to allow him to do so in bed, beside his wife with the family present.
The staff couldn't have been more supportive, at such a time we needed this type of support. They were fantastic. Their care for us and my auntie was so compassionate and respectful.

Coldwells House is an amazing home - I would wholeheartedly recommend it. The staff are lovely - positive and enthusiastic and the care they give is patient centred.
The building is tastefully decorated, very clean and smells lovely. There are lots of seating areas and different activities people
can access. I definitely would book myself in for some respite if I could. Coldwells House is the best home I have been in!

The quality of care could not have been better. The love of the staff carried through to the residents. My wife really enjoyed her time at Coldwells. Sadly she was near the end after some twelve years of Alzheimers, but the staff made her very happy. The layout and atmosphere of the home was carefully
considered. Bright, cheerful and offering varied opportunities to residents. Visitors were welcomed by all and kept informed at all times.

My mother had been in Coldwells House for two and a half years living a very comfortable life, she was so well looked after and joined the Coldwells House family with relish. She loved the singing and dancing which kept her going over the age of 100! We were always encouraged to join in when we visited
mum, making us feel satisfied that we found the right place for mum to be so well cared for. Coldwells team showed professionalism and compassion second to none. Well done Coldwells to all!

My mother-in-law resided in Coldwells House for the last two and a half years of her 101 years of life.
She loved it the staff would banter with her sing and dance with. The entertainment programme was amazing, something for everyone.
The home cooked food was carefully considered and adjusted for
residents special requirements and dinner was served after a sherry appetiser. The last year of my mother-in-law's life was mostly bedbound, but everyone encouraged her with smiles and great caring. To sum up she could not have been in a better place, clean, caring and fun just like home.

My sister-in-law is provided with excellent care in a lovely room with excellent meals. Unfortunately, she is not helping herself and although she does not have dementia she just sits in her chair all day and seems to do nothing but just waiting to die. She will not join in any activities really and
rarely leaves her room to go to the dining room. I know this is not the care homes fault but it is so sad to see her deteriorating every time I see her. The staff are so pleasant and caring and she is definitely in the best place.

The care is excellent, kind staff, good food. My mother went in not expected to live long. The home not only made her comfortable but she has improved so much she is now very well and happy. They are also very patient with my father who visits every day for 5-6 hours. Mother has been a resident for
14 months now. We also had another relative in the home previously who they looked after till the end of her life.

Coldwells has become a home from home for Mum. The way the home is run sets a great standard of care, a wonderful environment to live in and includes daily activities to engage and interest the residents.
Coldwells key assets are the fantastic staff who really understand their residents individually
and connect too with us as relatives.
All worries about “putting Mum in a home” have disappeared very quickly, and she is delighted to live in Coldwells.

Dad has been at Coldwells House for the last 18 months and I would just like to say how pleased we are with the care dad receives. All the staff are kind, caring and thoughtful to dad's needs and ours. On his 90th birthday last April, they put on a lovely party that we could invite family and friends
to and he had a wonderful time. The food was excellent.
The facilities, food and cleanliness are excellent.
We are able to visit dad anytime and the staff are always friendly and keep us well informed of any changes to dad's care.
