My mother-in-law has been a resident at this care home for many years, and this is purely due to the wonderful care she receives. All the staff show patience, kindness and treat her with the utmost dignity. Communication is excellent, always keeping us well-informed. The home is homely and calm, making
it home from home for mom. Knowing she is well cared for in a safe environment, by compassionate staff, gives our family so much reassurance. We cannot thank them enough! Well done Woodford Staff....Five Stars!!!

As soon as you walk into Woodford House, you are welcomed like a part of the family. Always ask how you are and tell you how dad's been. The care that my dad has received since he has moved to Woodford has been excellent. There is a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in, and the staff are always trying their best to entertain everyone. Food was one of dad's comforts when he lived alone. Woodford does their very best to cater for
his random requests, going out of their way in their own time to get him what he wants.

My cousin David has been at the home for a few years now. He has Alzheimer's, and his condition has deteriorated over time as expected. The Woodford staff have been excellent right from day one. The home staff are always friendly and accommodating, and they regularly review David to ensure that his
care needs are met. I have absolute confidence that David is being very well looked after, which is a great comfort! I would highly recommend the Woodford Nursing Home to anyone.

This is the first experience our family has had of the care system. I was apprehensive. My husband became a resident in October 2025. I soon became aware of the kindness and caring atmosphere the staff created. Not just for my husband but for me. I was in need of emotional comfort. I had all the support
I needed. The professionalism is excellent. We have become part of the family of Woodford with our regular visits. Becoming friends with the residents, their family and staff. I can only thank everyone who cares for my husband. He has settled and receives the utmost care under difficult situations at times.

My dad has been at Woodford for over a year and it is apparent how loving, caring and nurturing the staff are to all of their residents. They have taken the time to get to know Dad on a personal level and have provided him with a multitude of activities in and out of the home, which has supported him
in maintaining some sort of normality during the later stages of his dementia. During his residency, he has visited the Grand Theatre and the local pub for his lunch, which I know he thoroughly enjoyed and has been on many walks. Communication at Woodford is incredible, with the staff being continuously proactive, supportive and informative in person and over the phone. The home has put on various events throughout the year which are always incredibly enjoyable to attend. It is evident how much effort and time the staff have for their residents and it is so reassuring to know that my lovely Dad is receiving the care that he requires and deserves. Forever grateful to the staff at Woodford!

I find the environment calming. Staff are attentive to the residents. The living room and dining room which I've only been in they are clean and tidy. They seem to put activities and TV on that is age appropriate. All staff seem willing to help and support as well as answer any questions. It might not
be grand but caring is fantastic.

My dad has been Woodford House for 2 months and we have absolutely no issues. We noticed immediately the number of staff on hand to help support the residents and this continues to be the case. I appreciate that there are better looking buildings but ultimately the question that needs to be asked is
'what does my loved one need?' We looked around many homes and so glad we chose this one. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, both in their help to dad as well as support to family members. I would list them all but limited on word count. The experience from ensuring everyone is moving regularly, snacking, eating, drinking regularly, encouraging engagement, the timing of activities, nursing experience, empathy, the list goes on. There is also a good mix of young and more experienced and I've experience of other homes in the past but they could definitely take a lesson or two from Tina and the team. Thank you to all and my advice, look at the people not the building.

Woodford house saved my family my dad has late stages of dementia and we didn't know what to do but the staff worked quickly and got our dad a place when no other home would take him I can't thank the staff and nurses enough your care towards my dad is outstanding and not only to our dad to me and my
siblings. When me and I my sister viewed the home we knew that's where we wanted our dad to be. They have a lovely garden to walk round big dining area and lots of rest rooms and you can go and eat with your loved one's if you wish. Thank you so much Woodford House thank you Karen for picking up the phone and saying "I know what your going through " that was such a relief so thank you and carry on doing what your doing
Reply from Richard Hodgkisson, Business Director at Woodford House Nursing HomeThank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind and touching words. As the home manager, I know how emotional and difficult the transition into care can be, not just for residents but for families too . It truly means so much to hear that you felt supported and welcomed during your dad's journey with us. Creating a home where families feel comfortable, included, and able to spend meaningful time together is something we care deeply about. I will be sharing your message with the team, who will be very moved by your appreciation.

My father has been a resident for several months and I find Woodford House a loving and caring place for my father who has been known to be very unpredictable but has now settled down very well due to the whole staff who treat him as one of their own and as a result you cannot find any fault of any
significance and me and my family can only praise and them all for their help and consideration to my father and to us as a family. The only inconvenience is that there is no public transport. Apart from that its well done Woodford House.
Reply from Richard Hodgkisson, Business Director at Woodford House Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback. We are truly grateful for your lovely comments about the care provided to your dad. Your kind words will be shared with our staff, who work incredibly hard to support residents and their Families. The Hamptons is an excellent care home with very good rooms and facilities. The staff are caring and have the best interests of all clients in their care. They have a number of experienced staff and some younger staff who do not have the life experience to fully understand the emotional needs needs
of residents but that is inevitable whilst they learn. The food is outstanding and the management first class, especially in working with the relatives of residents. The range of activities is good without being outstanding.

I appreciated all the effort and generosity offered during December to celebrate Christmas. The home was beautifully decorated and Mum was thrilled to be able to share her crib scene ; this helped her to feel involved.
It was lovely to participate in the Christmas party and the communion service which
was open to family members. Mum enjoyed all the carol singing with the children from the local primary school and the concert by "The Tuesdays" . Thank you for arranging these special activities. As usual the food and drink over the festive season was excellent. Seeing Mum engage in the drinks parties was heartening.
The family also appreciated the welcome, provision of plenty of tea and cake and a lovely space in which to celebrate Mum's birthday. Thank you.

My mother spent 5 weeks in The Hamptons, after a fall at home, until her peaceful end. She was treated with the utmost compassion and dignity throughout her stay and watching the staff interact with her was joyful. Witnessing the staff come into bid her goodbye at the end of her life, brought tears
to my eyes and made me realise how much they all care about their residents. The night staff were equally caring as they spend many nocturnal hours with them.
My father who has dementia, is also a resident and the staff ensured that my mother's confidentiality was upheld whilst Dad could visit regularly. The staff sent me pictures of them together on Christmas Day!
The home is bright, airy and it never smells. The garden is fabulous for residents to walk around and to sit out in the sunshine. Food is good and plentiful.
Moving both my parents to The Hamptons, where they are cared for so much better then I could do, is the best decision our family made. The staff are fantastic!
Reply from Kim Roch, Home Manager at The HamptonsThank you for your kind words. Being able to support dad and your family through mum's palliative journey was an experience we will all remember as dignified and a privilege. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of your mother's end-of-life care. All the staff feel a genuine commitment to providing the best care to our residents, right up until their last day.
It's good to see your positive comments are not just about the care, but the environment and food too.

My mother has lived at this excellent home for two years. She really enjoys the attention, the company and the really delicious food. Everyone who visits comments on how contented she is, and how the home feels like a hotel rather than a care home. The public areas leading onto the garden are spacious
and light. There is a wonderfully calm atmosphere, the staff are experienced and kind. The home is very welcoming to visitors, I really enjoy going there. Every area in the home is spotlessly clean. I feel completely confident that all the carers have my mum's best interests at heart and are skilled at knowing exactly what she needs when, in terms of medical attention, nutrition, a lovely bath or just a chat. I feel very lucky my mother is here, she often says 'I am in the right place'.
