I cannot fault anything about tynefield court my mum has settled in very well and is very well looked after she asks for a cup of tea and she has it within minutes. There are always plenty of carers about to look after the residents. The carers all know their jobs and what they are doing. It is very
clean and tidy mums room is spotless. The manager and her team are on top of everything and certainly know what they are doing. Mum has 3 meals a day and the food is excellent all done fresh on site. I would highly recomend Tynefield to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved ones.Thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for everything you do for my mum.
Reply from Katie Evans, Manager at Tynefield CourtThank you so much for the lovely review. I will make sure that this is shared with all of the staff. Your mum has fitted into our family perfectly and is a pleasure to be part of her journey

My grandad has settled in really well. Staff have got to know him quickly and are very reassuring helping him to settle. They are very welcoming and provide good communication. Grandad is a fussy eater, but hasn't once complained about the food.

Staff are caring and friendly. The needs of residents are well met and family members feel welcome and able to discuss any issues that arise. Events and activities provided by relevant staff are varied and appreciated. Extra staffing and support for activities would be beneficial. Changes to decor,
routines and facilities indicate a clear desire to improve the environment for residents. Staff provide a good support for family members through their positivity and welcome.
Reply from Tyler McCullagh, Regional Manager at Elm Lodge Care HomeThank you for your kind words, and I am really happy that you satisfied with your parents care, and the kindness the care team show and exhibit. We will take on board your comments regarding the additional activity support. The new manager has made some positive changes to the environment and routines within the home so I am thrilled this has had a positive impact.
We will share your kind words with the team at Elm Lodge.
Kind Regards,
Tyler

The staff at this home are friendly and welcoming. No smell of urine or cabbage! Lara and team liaise with us. Our relative has blossomed in their care. She is antisocial, and they respect her wishes not to participate in activities/dining area. The rooms are bright and cheerful, food is lovely. I asked
for the room to be changed around, and it was done the next morning. My mum is happy here now after a settling and adjustment period.

Staff are absolutely amazing. If only I could give 10 stars and not 5!
My nans last few days were spent at Tynfield care home, Etwall and I could not thank their staff enough. A special mention to Kelly who made my nan feel so comfortable and cared so much for her including the rest of the staff looking
after her. Also a special mention to Aimee who I believe is the manager. The kindness and support you have shown us will not be forgotten!
We as a family, are so thankful for everyone who looked after my nan. We are devastated my nan isn't here any longer but find comfort knowing my nan was cared and made comfortable in her last few days from the amazing staff.
Everything was done in a professional manner and my nan was treated with such dignity.
Thank you again everyone at Tynfield care home. We appreciate everything you have done for our special nan.
Kind regards
Olly

There is a lovely homely atmosphere at St Michaels. This has evolved with a caring, empathetic manager who started a few months ago. Her small dog is also on site and brings a lot of pleasure to residents and visitors, a definite asset to the environment. Along with the friendly, caring and competent
staff. The manager has created a safe, comfortable and friendly care environment. Any issues relating to dads care are swiftly and appropriately dealt with, with dad's best interests at the forefront.
Reply from Tyler McCullagh, Regional Manager at St Michael's Nursing and Residential HomeThank you so much for your kind words about St Michaels. It's genuinely lovely to hear how much the home's warm and homely atmosphere has meant to both you and your dad.
We're so pleased that the care, compassion and dedication shown by the manager and team have made such a positive difference to yours and your Dads experience. It was lovely reading your mention of the manager's little dog - it's clear she's become a much-loved part of daily life at the home.
Thank you again for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback. We'll make sure your comments are shared with the team at St Michaels.

From first contacting the care home, the manager who had recently been in post was excellent. She reassured us and was very supportive, as she knew we were worried, as we were going away for Easter. I would give the manager 10/10 for the support she gave. My mother-in-law was very well cared for and
enjoyed participating in the activities. We were telephoned on our first day away and reassured that my mother-in-law was okay. This meant so much to us as we were going to contact that same evening. The manager was knowledgeable regarding Dementia/Alzheimer's, again, this helped. Thank you to all who cared for my mother-in-law and allowed us to get away.

The two managers are good managers, they make me feel most welcome. My poor mum can no longer do things for herself bless her. Mum has been like this some time. Most staff work hard one member of staff in particular always makes me a lovely coffee. The home is having new windows and doors so out with
the wood in with the plastic. They have started work on this and they now have a lovely front door. Please close the door behind you please. They also now have a wonderful garden. Lovely handy man kindly worked on this for free, thanks so much. Bedrooms have just been done up.
The cost of the home for loved one is quite expensive, mind you they all are. With my mum's it's all coming from the house when the valuation go's down too half the rest should go to the family etc, the law needs changing. So please think before you put your loved one in care, myself had no choice.
I recommend St Michael's Nursing and Residential Home. Hope this is of some help, I love it, please give me a thumbs up, kind regards.

My husband has lived at St Michael's since April 2024, it took a while for him to settle down but the care he gets from the staff is really lovely, he has a good appetite and if he says he is hungry food will appear they have nice activities going on for anyone wishing to take part. It was a big decision
for him to go into care but it was the correct one for all the family, as much as he is missed at home we know he is being well cared for and for that, my thanks go to all the staff who work there.
