Overall Experience
Layden court took over the care of my Dad in April. I can't fault it at all. The care and compassion they've shown has been genuine. They quickly learn who you are and which resident " belongs" to you. We've been encouraged to make Dad's room his own. Hang pictures, move furniture, bring in personal items such as lamps etc. He has his own bedding and the staff have offered to launder it. Both the care and nursing staff are easy going friendly and cheery. But most importantly they do their job well . I can ask a question and I get an immediate answer. If I ask for something for Dad I know it's going to be done. The excellent care and nursing he's getting is already making a difference after a few short weeks. He is happy , healthier and his speech and cognitive functions are improving.
The care home itself is always clean and pleasant. Theres a comfortable feel to it and feels more like a family home than a nursing home. I have no hesitation in recommending layden court .

Overall Experience
Layden Court's care of my Dad in his last few weeks of life was excellent. The kindness and compassion shown, not just to dad, but to us all as a family, made what was an horrendous time, that bit easier. Dad had Parkinson's and mixed dementia and we'd moved him from another care home to Layden Court. The stressed and anxious dad we'd had was almost immediately replaced with a calm and content dad which was so reassuring, and testament to the level of care he received. While he was only with the team at Layden Court for 4 weeks, I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone. The compassionate and dignified way in which they dealt with dads death was appreciated more than we can say. Thank you to the whole team from the Thompson family xx

The welcome we received from Chantey and team was fantastic after my mum went into Layden Court recently. She'd lived independantly into her 80's, but needed more care and support as her needs couldnt be met at home. Any concerns about mum moving into a care home environment, were soon dismissed leading to me sleeping well for first time in months. Knowing mum is safe, warm, eating a lovely variety of meals and being cared for like a queen is invaluable. I can now visit and be her daughter again. Mum has high anxiety and various issues but Chantey and her team have been amazing in their care and compassion in managing mums condition to help her settle. Chanteys advice, support and experience has been a lifeline, often sending photo's and videos of mum happy and smiling. All the team are incredible and treat mum with respect and dignity. I always look forward to visits (and the fab partys!) as does my 4 year old grandson. Laden Court is our extended family indeed!

My Aunt has been a resident at Layden Court for 3 years... She hasn't been the easiest and is quite a character. Over the years the staff have got used to her and her ways, they've always been accommodating and very patient with her.
Since Chantey started there's more things going on like get togethers, meetings, party's where everyone can be involved and it's nice. I get regular updates and videos of my aunt which puts my mind at rest that's she's doing okay. .It's a welcoming homely place where I feel my aunt is safe and cared for. .

Overall Experience
So pleased we chose Layden Court for my husband, who suffers from advanced dementia & required an EMI bed. It was so difficult finding somewhere suitably equipped for his needs. From the moment we walked into Layden Court we knew we'd found the right place. The home Manager, Chantey is so caring, kind and treats her clients with so much love and affection which comes naturally to her. She is such a lovely lady, bubbly, calm, professional, caring and loving. She provides regular updates regarding your love one and address any concerns as soon as possible, nothing is to much trouble. The caring staff do a fabulous job making there clients feel at home caring for their individual needs The atmosphere of the home is so loving and warm, one big happy family. Events are held on a regular basis, coffee mornings, sing along and lots of arts and crafts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Layden Court for your loved ones.
A big thank you to all staff.

My grandma stayed at Layden Court after an admission to hospital from a previous care home. Unfortunately she wasn't able to return to the previous home due to outstanding issues, but since arriving at Layden Court as an emergency admission she received a large warm welcome from care staff and management. Although my grandma's health declined rapidly the care staff worked extremely hard to ensure she remained comfortable. Management always present in the care home even on weekends which was lovely to see. Can't thank Layden Court enough.

Overall Experience
My adorable Dad has been at Layden since January 2021. Initially, he went in together with my Mum for what we thought was going to be respite care. Sadly, Mum passed away in May 2021. The care shown by Dr Kersh and the staff was then, and has remained, compassionate, considered and real. They have cared for my Dad through his confusing loss of Mum and his decline over the last 5 years. There have been challenges along the way with varying standards of management over the years but now, thankfully, we have hit the jackpot with Chantay! To see the staff genuinely care for my Dad has made an awful time tolerable. Yes, the food's great and plentiful and there's always plenty going on by the way of events but for me the staff make this place. They have treated my Dad like one of their own and have shown true care and love for him. In addition, their care has also extended to me by showing concern and consistent support throughout.

The quality of care being given to my mum at Layden Court far exceeds the care she has recently received in RDGH The staff have gone above and beyond to make my mum as comfortable as possible The staff have spent their time sitting with her, talking to her, encouraging her to eat and drink

Overall Experience
My mum has been in Layden court for roughly 3 years, she is very settled and happy. It's very welcoming and friendly, I enjoy spending time with mum in the care home. The environment is relaxed and cosy. There has been a lot of changes but now the new manager is in place I have seen so many positive changes. Christmas was very magical, so many decorations, balloons and festivities. They have been given a piano which is lovely as my sister played Christmas carols for all the residents. The food is lovely at lunchtimes, choice from 2 with vegetables and potatoes or chips. They have a lovely big back garden, me and mum have spent many warm evenings sat out with the sunshine on us. They have a staff are so friendly and accommodating, they are a 2nd family to my mum and feel reassured that she is safe and well looked after. The manager is very friendly and always compassionate with her role.
She communicates effectively with the family, keeping us updated on mums care.

My Mum has been a resident, at Layden Court Care Home, for nearly 8 years. The care she and other residents receive is now the best it has been. The Home has been through a lot during previous ownership and management. I must stress that I am very pleased with every aspect of my Mum's care. Chantey, the Care Home Manager , is brilliant, takes any concern seriously and deals with them immediately. All the staff work extremely hard . Christmas and New Year was fantastic including decorations , parties and invited Singers . There was even a Santa's grotto. Relatives are encouraged and welcomed to attend regular events.
