My mother has been living at Osmaston Grange for almost 3 years. The home is warm, comfortable, well-decorated and clean with a calm atmosphere. Food is varied and nutritious. Mum especially likes the cooked breakfasts. Residents are encouraged to have their own belongings in their rooms. All staff,
including kitchen, cleaning and maintenance staff, are pleasant, patient, helpful, attentive and supportive of the residents. Rare incidents of challenging behaviour by residents are dealt with calmly and sensitively. Visitors are welcomed at any time and are offered refreshments. A local medical practice responds promptly to any medical concerns and the staff ring to inform us if there is anything other than routine medical problems. Activities such as board games, quizzes and crosswords are offered (led by a staff member with responsibility for providing activities). A local church offers regular Sunday services and various performances (dancing, singing, comedy etc.) also take place.
