Very clean and tidy staff friendly, helpful always got a smile for everyone. Management and staff keep you updated on what activities are happening also update you on anything that the person you are visiting needs or anything to do with their health.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear you found our team friendly and helpful, and that you felt well informed.
I enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Easter party. It was so nice to see my friend join in with the other residents and enjoy herself singing and dancing. The staff did an amazing job. Well done all.
Thank you for your kind words! We're so pleased you enjoyed the Easter party. We are delighted to hear your feedback.
I am constantly trying to speak to my mother at the care home. As I do not live near it is really important to keep up communication. I only had a conversation with the manager yesterday 22/04/23 how poor this was. Have called today and yet again got an answerphone. We have only just been made aware a new company has taken over the home and things are meant to be improved. I can not see this.
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We apologise for the issue and we have made the manager aware of this, kindly accept the apologies from her as well. It is definitely important to have communication to keep up with your loved ones. This will be sorted for you and we hope you don't face any such issues going further.
Kind Regards
As a family, we are very pleased with all the care and support my sisters get. They have settled well and quickly. The staff are always helpful with any situation that occurs. We always have peace of mind, knowing they are safe and cared for.
Kind regards.
Sadly being a distance from my Nan we don't have a hugely positive experience. We struggle to get through to her mobile and have now been told that we can have a quick call with her if the home is free to take a call. Living on the other side of the country, I'm not sure why communication is being cut off when we'd happily call my Nan frequently to give her more to look forward to each day. The home seems understaffed when we have been in person and when calling. During one phone call, we had to call an ambulance for my Nan as she was so breathless and the carer said "this happens all the time, you just don't know about it".
Hi Lisa, we are sorry to hear you have been dissatisfied with our service. We appreciate communication is extremely important between family members, I have raised your concern with the Home Manager. Please be assured our staffing levels are assessed regularly depending on the dependency of our residents and are in line with the expectations of our governing bodies.
My mother has been in Rivington Park Care Home for around seven years now. She is, at present, in the later stages of (dementia) Alzheimer's. At this time, she now resides in bed and requires more care. The standard of care she receives is brilliant, she is treated with dignity and love. Any problems with her health, the manager always lets me know. The home and herself are spotless. My mother always looks squeaky clean and very comfortable and relaxed. The staff don't only look after my mother, they also give me support. Walking in feels just like home.
Many thanks for your lovely feedback. We will ensure this is shared with the team at Rivington Park.
Our father recently had a stroke and the nurse was excellent in their assessment skills and efficiency in getting the GP. We are informed at every point which is fantastic. He was very well looked after waiting for the ambulance. They make sure they know their residents so day change is reported. Following his discharge from the hospital, his senior carer that has just completed their Care Home Assistant Practitioner course which shows their dedication was amazing, ensuring his safety was paramount. We cant these staff enough especially for taking care of our dad.
Many thanks for your lovely words. We will ensure this is shared with the team at Rivington Park.
A warm welcome on entering the home by the receptionist, and very courteous staff. The home is very clean. Enjoyed my visit. Thank you.
Many thanks for your lovely feedback. I will ensure this is passed onto the team.
A great place where dad is happy and feels safe. Lovely staff and good food is his assessment.
Many thanks for your kind review. I will ensure this is passed onto the team at Rivington Park.
My mum has been at Rivington Park for just over a year and her care has been excellent. Mum has severe Alzheimers and is now bedridden so she requires lots of care and support. She has been well looked after here and my thanks go to the staff who have looked after her especially during this difficult time with covid being around. You are angels.
Many thanks for your lovely words. I will ensure these are passed to the team at Rivington Park.
During my last visit to review my mother's care and support with the manager, I was extremely pleased to see a 100% improvement on my previous review of Rivington Park Care Home. Recent staff changes have ensured a smooth changeover for the better. I am very happy with everything on offer for my mother, who is extremely happy being looked after by such dedicated and caring management and staff. Well done to all involved (ten out of ten).
Thank you for your lovely words. I will pass them onto the team.
My mother-in-law has been here for 2 years now at Rivington Park and I am very happy with the care given. It is a small friendly home and I am always made welcome by all staff. They have a varied amount of activities including regular trips, quizzes and various entertainment acts that come in to perform for the residents. They also organise special days like Valentines, Summer Fairs, bonfires etc.
The staff are very good and caring, but always seem understaffed when I have visited. My Nan is very happy and has settled well in her new home. The home is dated and carpets are showing their age but overall the staff and management are great and if my Nan is happy and well looked after, that's all I can ask for. Carpets could do with a shampoo.
My stepfather is now almost bedridden and the care he receives is of an excellent standard. He is always kept clean and comfortable and treated with dignity.
Thank you for your kind comments.
Communication very good.
A friendly home.
Well done and thank you to all at Rivington Park Care Home.
He was assessed as needing 24 hour nursing care but as he has been well looked after here I feel he is now ready for residential care as he is able to walk, talk, use the toilet etc. He needs help with personal care. Rivington Park is a lovely nursing home but for my husband??
Dad needed emergency respite and we were offered a room at the Fairhaven. Dad is very private, shy and independent. Aged 88, this was the 1st time he's received any form of care, we were naturally apprehensive...would he settle, would he accept the help etc. It became very obvious, very quickly that Dad was enjoying his stay. He had a lovely room in a cosy home from home environment. The staff are the best, caring, kind and they quickly tuned in to what dad could and couldn't do, allowing independence yet helping when needed. I could call anytime and get an update on how dad was. Dad loved not just the staff and company but the food too. He would do his review each day ha! Always happy with the meals and choice provided. Thank you to all the staff, dad cried when he left after his 10-week stay! We would recommend Fairhaven, priceless.
Julie, it was a pleasure to have your Dad stay with us. We all (residents and staff) miss his company but I'll let everyone know how he's getting on. Thank you so much for this review The team work really hard to meet our resident's needs and to hear such positive feedback is such a boost. As I...
When visiting, I have found that my mother has always been treated with respect and dignity. Mother's room is of a good standard with most of the required facilities. The staff have always encouraged to drink more as this has been identified as a weak area on my mother's part. From what I have seen of the meals, they have been nutritious and more than enough. I am aware that there are a number of activities organised for all residents. In view of the above, I would not hesitate to recommend to other families to use this location.
