Visiting times are flexible and they are wonderful when I ring up to take Dad out. They get him ready in his wheelchair, get his coat on etc and they ask him where he has been and show an interest when I return him. There are some staff to who are lovely and joke with him and get him to smile. Families can join in with singing chat on coffee mornings and they do get entertainers in too.

However, the home was kind and arrangements were made for me to be with her for the last days of her life, for which I will be eternally grateful. I would not hesitate in recommending the home to anyone considering putting a loved one into care. The professionalism and compassion shown by everyone over the years were exemplary.

Even when Mum was frail, the staff did their best to include her in activities and outings. One problem is rather weak WIFI signal but the staff brought Mum to the phone so I could speak to her daily/every other day when/if I could not visit. They understood how important this level of contact was and duly obliged. Although some homes are a bit more trendy and state of the art, Min-y-Mor is really strong on kindness and the ladies there are truly caring, with almost all of them with truly loving attitudes to old people .. angels really.

We brought his own blanket, cushions etc to personalise the room. All of the bedrooms are very spacious, with "hospital" beds that raise and big en-suite wet rooms. Dad's room had a lovely view across the hills. I visited dad every day of his short time in Hafan Y Waun until he died suddenly on 17th November. I found the home to be always a very warm, positive, happy and caring place. The food was excellent. The staff were kind and thoughtful and treated dad with dignity and respect. I think it is a marvellous care home.

and the residents are happy. Although it is early days for my partner, he seems to have settled in okay. The is in a lovely setting, and the food is good also.

From day one, every effort has been made to help my mother and our family, feel part of the Hafan y Waun community. Much appreciated!

I myself, find the staff very friendly and have patience in abundance, so very caring, and we are so grateful to them, for being there.

co-ordinators and visiting volunteers/groups. Music therapy is a great bonus as is the hairdressing salon. Staff at all levels are very friendly, approachable and many staff go out of their way to help my mother who has both cognitive and sight issues and suffers terribly from anxiety. There is always a warm welcome for us as a family when we visit and we very much appreciate the genuine concern and support from staff on more difficult days. A very happy and caring environment.
