Moving my Mam into care was a massive step. As she has dementia, there were understandably a few minor teething problems right at the beginning, but the staff at Cwmbran House were incredibly responsive and sorted everything out quickly. Mam absolutely loves it here. She constantly tells me how safe and well looked after she feels, and she deeply appreciates everything the staff do for her. The peace of mind this gives me is priceless. I highly recommend them.

From the moment I arrive at Cwmbran House, I am greeted by friendly smiling staff. I have always found Cwmbran House to be spotlessly clean (in particular the toilets smelled very fresh on my last visit) All carers and activity organisers have a caring and attentive approach to residents, often with a gentleness of humour. Cwmbran House site is a spacious safe space for residents and their rooms are of adequate size, comfortable + personalised. Small gardens allow residents to exercise, and to enjoy gardening / planting in raised beds. Some recently enjoyed sitting in shade under parasols in the fresh air. The level of care is maintained even in the challenging heat we've experienced recently. A very happy place, often with cheery music being played, encouraging singalongs with residents

As a family we were delighted with the care Mum received. She settled very quickly and was happy & content which gave us great comfort. As a shy lady we worried that she would not integrate well but the lovely atmosphere and the superb daily activities programme at Cwmbran House meant that she exceeded all our expectations. Our grateful thanks go to each and every one of you.

Also a chiropodist visits regularly, Drs and nurses attend when needed .Im so pleased my mam is there .

On Saturday 18th October my mother was able to celebrate with a large group of family and friends in a special room in Cwmbran House. It was a fantastic celebration. A beautiful cake was provided for this special 100th birthday. Staff were warm, welcoming and professional, before, during and after her birthday. They were genuinely excited with us, such an occasion. Many guests mentioned the hospitality, space, and atmosphere of the home, thank you so much, a fantastic time was had by all.

Excellent care from the staff. As a family we were reassured Mum was safe, happy and well cared for during her entire stay.

I visit several care homes in the area on behalf of my church. Plas Y Garn is one of my favourite. The management and staff go to great lengths to ensure that all residents feel "at Home" here, the love, the care and friendliness given by all staff is truly wonderful.

I am really impressed with this care home. It is very clean and my nan is well cared for. When I turn up to visit, the residents are always well looked after by the staff who engage with the residents carrying out activities. I really appreciate the staff going above and beyond and updating me on my nan's condition. They also regularly update their social media page which is nice to see when I haven't visited for a few days.

This is my mum's second respite care for two weeks. All the staff welcomed her back and are absolutely lovely to her. She has alzheimers and can be difficult at times, but I felt absolutely confident leaving her in the care of Cwmbran House when we went abroad for a week. She is a pescetarian and her diet was catered for. All her washing was done and came back smelling lovely. I would have no hesitation in recommending Cwmbran House for respite or full time care. It is a wonderful place and is lovely to know that my husband and I can take a break from caring, and she will be well cared for. Thank you so much.

The improvement in my nan has really made my year!

My husband and I have been thrilled with the way my mum has settled at Cwmbran House. We have been so impressed with the wonderful care and support that she has received. The activities that have been provided are so life enhancing, and it's so lovely to see Mum enjoying socialising again. We feel everyone there gives their best to care for our loved ones, and we are so very grateful!

Very impressed with the level of care, compassion and understanding of the whole staff. As a family we are more thanhappy knowing my brother is cared for in a very dignified way. More, he is very happy and that is most important to us.

The staff have been fantastic ihoe they have cared for my mother. Very caring by all the team. Even the care thet have shown us as a family as we are going through a very difficult time as we are at the end with mum. They have bent over backwards to accomadate all of the family by way of allowing us to stay here for the full duration and privided meaks to all of us.

Inher last days they allowed my brothers and I to sleep on site and even made sure we were fed and supplied with tea and coffee. No characters left..sorry!

The home has made my mother very comfortable and looked after her extremely well . And during her last days the care she received was second to none. The staff looked after mum and accommodated my family and looked after us very very well

I can honestly say that the change in the care home has been amazing. The carers are so good with the residents and keep them amused a lot more. Big shout out to the entertainments coordinator. She is so interactive with the residents and they are always busy crafting, singing, dancing and playing games. I am really impressed with the change.

Cwmbran House Care Home has provided our mother with a safe place to live for the past 10 months. Mum has dementia and has the space to walk around as the corridors are long which gives her freedom and a certain amount of independence. The garden which is accessible from the communal room is wonderful during winter and summer and provides a safe space. As a family, we are very pleased with mum's care and I could recommend this care home.

My relative is treated with great kindness and respect, all the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents. Family members are made welcome at any time and are contacted immediately regarding any issues.
