Whilst my mom was in the home the staff and management couldn't do enough to make her stay like she was in her home. I couldn't speak highly enough of the home and staff. They were always having entertainment or taking them places. This is how a home should be run as I was a carer myself so I know what
it's like with the care sector. I also was very relaxed that I could be at ease with my mom's care.

My husband came for respite care on 30th July until 13th August. He needed a lot of help in bodily cleanliness and feeding. He was treated with care, dignity and kindness from all the staff - cleaners, nurses, carers and management. I was made to feel very welcome when I visited him. I have no hesitation
in recommending Alexandra Care Home to all my friends and will willingly bring my husband back for respite care when the occasion arises.
Reply from Charlotte Johnston, Adminstrator at Alexandra Nursing & Residential HomeThank you so much for your kind words it was a pleasure looking after your husband, wishing you well and we will be available if you need us in the future.

My husband came here on 27th Feb 2025 and at the time I thought it was very good but since the beginning of June it has gone down hill. On the 19th June me and my granddaughter came and there was 4 carers on, 13 patients in lounge and I don't know how many in bed some of the patients need toilet and
there was no one there. They were helping other patients tis is the third manager I have seen since I have been coming and staff are leaving left right and centre. And don't blame them, the patients are sat down all day doing nothing.

This is a lovely care home with great staff who really care about the residents. Lots of activities for people, great variety. Its also nice that rooms are made as homely as possible. My only wish would be for increased visiting times/hours.

Cannot thank the staff at Alexandra enough for all the care they provided for my late Grandad. Everyone was amazing with not only him but our family too. He didn't have a bad word to say about the staff, they always went above and beyond, treating him with dignity and respect right up to the time of
his passing and afterward. The staff supported the family in one of our hardest times.

Our first experience of the home was in April 2023 when we used it for respite. In November 2023, my husband was assessed as needing a permanent place in a nursing home. At this point, we chose to move from the home where the assessment was done back to Blenheim Court Care Home. There is something about
Blenheim that we liked more than the other home. There is a warmth and friendliness about the home and the programme of resident enrichment is excellent. From the pantomime at Christmas to the daily encouragement to be involved in games and puzzles. I visit my husband daily and am always made welcome. I feel cared for too. Thanks to all the staff who work so hard.

I have been visiting the Blenheim Court Care Home since 2019. I find the home very well run with wonderful staff. They treat all patients and relatives with respect and dignity. They encourage both patients and relatives to join in all activities they provide. I can really recommend this care home to
any person who is looking at putting their family member in a care home.

I would like to give my review based on my personal experience of my mum being a resident here for 12 days. Myself and my mum decided she needed to go into care after having numerous stays in hospital due to many falls, a stroke and pneumonia. Staff genuinely do their best with the resources available
to them. In my opinion, this care home is seriously understaffed. Residents ringing buzzers with lengthy waits for attention (mum included). She herself was without a buzzer for two days, sending nursing staff to try to fix it, witnessed by myself. Mum was in bed the entire 12 days of residency. I asked for her overflowing clinical waste bin to be emptied only to be told by the domestic staff that they were unaware Mum's room was occupied. Am happy to say that after these extremely long and stressful 12 days waiting for a care plan to be put into place, my 91-year-old end of life care mum is now happily back home.
Reply from Kirby Griffin, Manager at Blenheim Court Care HomeI apologise that you feel that your mums' experience within the home was a negative one. I would like to reassure you that our home is not understaffed and as you have kindly pointed out staff do their best with resources that are available. In relation to the buzzer, I would like to reassure you that staff tried to rectify this issue by contacting our external nurse call bell professionals who were informed this was an emergency. Unfortunately, they were unable to attend till the next day, however, to ensure timely welfare checks were completed extra system checks were implemented.

My late brother was in Alexandra Care Home for over 6 years. The Management and all the staff have all been brilliant in looking after him. His special needs sometimes tried everyone’s patience, the Alexandra is what all homes should be like. The staff always welcoming kind and thoughtful, the food
is quality and the cleanliness is spot on. Nobody looks forward to putting a loved one in a nursing home, But from day one I had no worries, I wish to thank everyone at Alexandra for looking after my brother,
