Cannot thank the wonderful staff at Surrey Oaks Nursing Home enough. The care, kindness and compassion shown to my sister whilst at the home was such a comfort to us. The relief we felt knowing that she was receiving the best care was immeasurable.

The staff were unfailingly welcoming to us whatever time we visited and they were so jolly and positive with the residents.

It is always a hard decision to make in an often very stressful situation but Surrey Oaks certainly made the decision a little easier to bear.

I have no hesitation in recommending this nursing home.

My mum was transferred from hospital to Surrey Oaks Nursing Home in November 2025 after a significant stroke. I've visited her many times and the home is always very well staffed, calm and everyone is cheerful. The care team are so incredibly kind and professional with her, there is an amazing atmosphere at the home. The decor is a bit dated, but I understand that the home has only been part of Jesmond for a few months, and improvements are happening rapidly, for instance, more keypads on doors for better security. The care is second to none. My mum is so happy there. Thank you Robert, Khairull and team for everything you do, as this environment is a tribute to you all.

A delightful home for any loved one. Very caring staff, regular parties to gather everyone and homely feeling. My dad has been here for a few months unexpectedly and we have been very happy with everything!

It is exceptionally well-run, it is very protective of the residents, with staff who are so caring. Sad as we were that she has to be in a nursing home, but Surrey Oaks is a true revelation. Highly, highly recommended.

Sutton & Cheam is blessed to have a nursing home which is very hard to find fault with.

He has settled very well and despite his challenging behavior at times the entire Staff and care workers at Jesmund have really made us feel so comfortable in all aspects of the care provided to my Dad.

The entire team at the care home have become like a family to me as I go few times a week to spend time with Dad and we all have a chat and just feels amazing seeing my Dad being so comfortable in his surrounding.

I would without a doubt not hesitate Jesmund care home to anyone wanting their loved ones to be taken care of with the highest standards.

My, Mum, sisters and I were allowed to dress his new room prior to him viewing it. When we arrived Robert and a few staff made a real fuss of him. Praveen, the owner was also present, which was a lovely touch. Obviously, for the first few days, Dad was unsettled but got used to his new environment very soon. I genuinely wouldn't wish for him to be anywhere else now. All staff are outstanding.

Putting all this in prospective, I'd recommend this carehome to anyone who is looking for good care and warmth in love and understanding by the whole team..

Happy with my mum's stay here! Just a bit confused with visiting times! My mum can be very challenging at times but she has now settled in well, staff are very nice and most are very welcoming! Just very confused with the visiting times as I personally have to support my mum and my brother.

I have always found the staff and managers to be 1st class and the rest of the team. I must also mention the night team for their sterling work. The home is clean and my wife has a great bedroom. I would recommend the home to anyone.

I have been very pleased with the nursing home. I feel the staff are very attentive and caring. I feel the entertainment is fun and that the music is just right. The bingo is good fun and competitive. The food is varied and the Indian food is very much appreciated. We have enjoyed having the garden to sit in during the summer and on sunny days. It feels like a big family and homely.

I'm very fortunate that my brother has been accepted by the staff and residents and is safe and looked after with love.

My husband receives the best possible care at Jesmund. All the staff are friendly and helpful, they have an excellent leader who always has time to listen and chat. The manager organised a great party, everyone enjoyed it.

My father has been in Jesmund Nursing Home since 2022. He is content and well cared for. He enjoys his food and is kept clean. He is happy at the home. The staff have always been polite, courteous, kind, and attentive to me. I see their kindness, professionalism, caring, and patience towards him and other residents. I feel fortunate my father is able to spend time in a place filled with love.

My father was transferred to Jesmund Nursing Home under the fast-track palliative care pathway following a fall that resulted in a brain injury. He was treated with the utmost care and dignity by all the staff that work at Jesmund. They were infinitely patient with our constant visiting and also treated Dad like their own family. We would highly recommend this home. Only thing I would say is that it could do with a facelift, but the care is second to none!

The staff in Jesmund Nursing Home are wonderful - the care they showed towards our father during the last three months of his life was exemplary. We could not have found a more caring team to nurse him and they were very welcoming to us as a family as well.

A well-organised home where love, respect and care were at the top of the list of priorities. Excellent management and fabulous caring staff. Very diligent on procedures to minimise spread of infection during Covid episode. I would highly recommend this care home.

Would recommend this for any other of my family members needing A1-class service.

Unfortunately, her condition deteriorated such that she had to spend her last days in the hospital.
