Tilsley House cared for my mother for a year and a half and with out a doubt the staff and management were exceptional. Everyone from carers to kitchen to housekeeping to laundry to management, were kind, helpful, thoughtful and above all extremely caring. This behaviour was also extended to myself and my family. We were always welcomed and made to feel a part of the Tilsley family. My mother enjoyed her time and especially loved the home cooked meals and the various entertainments. Tilsley dealt with everything so I did not have too worry. They kept me updated on any changes, good and bad. Thank you Tilsley for your exceptional work.

These reviews are such a great encouragement...
When my mother moved into Tilsley Care Home eighteen months ago I have been very pleased with staff and the way they look after residents they and all very friendly I would say 10 out of 10.
At both our homes, Tilsley House and Earlfield Lodge, we strive to do our best for our residents. We appreciate good feedback as these are an acknowledgement of the hard work of the staff. Rizwan Govindji (Director)
Mum resided at Tilsley House from January 2026 until May 2026. Mum had vascular dementia that was quite advanced and so her needs were complex. The staff at Tilsley were wonderful throughout and cared for mum, prioritising her dignity and need for reassurance. The home pays a lot of attention to wellbeing, with dedicated staff and activities to ensure residents are stimulated and have quality of life. During the last days of mum's life it was dear that staff genuinely cared for mum and we were very well supported through a very difficult time.
Thank you again. Rizwan Govindji (Director)
I think the care that my mum has in Tilsley House is exelent, the staff are very friendly and helpfull, her room is always clean and tidy, the food is great, most importantly my mum is happy and that makes me happy, so in my opinion Tilsley House is brilliant. Thank you to all the staff who care for my mum!
Thanks again. Rizwan Govindji (Director)
As soon we got home I could see my Mum not stable on her legs her mobility had deteriorated and was shaking within her hands, she couldn't stand up, so when our assessor came from another care provider, she had to call and ambulance since then she has to have extra care each day now a referral for physiotherapy in her legs to get some movement, now we have to help her to the toilet a camode for night time and to assist in mobility within the property.
As we discussed by telephone, her medical conditions have likely contributed to a gradual reduction in her strength and mobility. I am very sorry for the worry this has caused you...
Our mother has been in Tilsley House care home over a year. The home provide the support needed and do much to keep mum mentally stimulated and entertained. Mum always says how she enjoys the home. The care team are always on hand and are friendly and helpful. The Home has a great relationship with the local medical services and ensure that changes in response to drugs or behavior are noted and assessed in case there is a need for intervention.
During the nice weather the Care team ensure that there are plenty of fluids and even ice creams, they also make full use of their large garden so that people get plenty of fresh air.
The Home's management team are accessible, very friendly and helpful.
I am so pleased that we found this home for mum, as it couldn't be better for her.

I'm just posting a follow-up review as Mum has now been living at Tilsley House for almost 2 years! She continues to tell me that she is in "the best place". All of the team look out for Mum and there has been several occasions where they have picked on early signs that Mum is slightly off colour. They immediately bring in the GP to discuss options and ensure the best possible treatment. Food is so important to someone the age of my Mum to ensure she keeps her strength up. There is always plenty of choice and lots of snacks and biscuits available during the day. And of course, plenty of fluids via soft drinks and lots of cups of tea. Mum used to suffer regularly from dehydration and resulting UTI's before living at Tilsley. She hasn't suffered from dehydration once since moving in! Everyone continues to treat Mum with respect and there is always a bit of ribbing which my Mum loves. She feels safe, whilst stimulated. Thank you Tilsley team for being such wonderful carers
At both our care homes, Tilsley House and Earlfield Lodge we strive to give our residents the best lived experience possible. It is not always easy so reviews like this one are vital to keep us all motivated and encouraged. Thank you. Rizwan Govindji (Director)

I am so pleased we found ths wonderful carehome for our mother, she is well cooked after and very happy. The staff are amazing very friendly and nothing is to much trouble . They have entertainment for the residents which is brilliant it gets them out of there from and interacting with other residents. Mum's room is a bit small but she is happy with it., it is kept clean. Mum is helped to shower and dress nothing is too much trouble, we are very happy with the carehome.
Thank you so much, Christine. Your words mean more than I can say. We're just incredibly grateful that you have found us, where Mum is cared for with such kindness and patience. The staff truly go above and beyond, and knowing she's happy brings us such peace. Your feedback is really appreciated.
Maintenance and cleaning is always evident by lovely friendly staff, and hard floors throughout are a good idea. Managers/accounts approachable and helpful
Thank you so much, Jane, for taking the time to leave us such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. Your kind words truly mean a great deal to our entire team. We're delighted to hear that your mother has settled in well and that she feels comfortable, supported, and able to maintain her independent....
Mum has been a resident at Earlfield Lodge for over a year. She has a lovely big room with wonderful views The staff are excellent. They are very caring & spend time with her even though she is nearly deaf & its hard to make her understand. We are always greeted with a coffee & sometimes biscuits or cake. The staff always remember us & are always cheerful. There is generally some sort of entertainment organised, whether its a game or quiz or someone coming into the home to sing to them or play a musical instrument. The staff, including the management team, are very caring & always go above & beyond what is asked of them.
We are especially pleased that you feel welcomed each time you visit, whether with a friendly greeting, a cup of...
In the last week of our sister's life, when we spent a lot of time by her bedside, the carers were extremely supportive to all of us, for which we are very grateful.
Thank you for your kind words, we will pass this on to the team.
Mum came into Tilsley House on Respite after a fall at home. As soon as we came we were made welcome and felt like family straight away. Mum decided after 2 weeks that she would like to live here because no matter how much help and support she needs there is always someone here to help. Its now been almost 2 months she has been here and its lovely to see her settled , with company and happy. Every one of the staff are lovely and greet our family happily. Thank you for helping us through some tough times. We recommend Tilsley House with the highest regards.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It lovely to know your mum is happy here. Its our pleasure to support her and the family. Your thoughtful words truly inspire the team to continue providing the best care possible . Thank you
The nursing staff are good, however, the nurses in charge are not good at all. I had to place my sister into safe guarding care and was grateful to Tilsley to accept her. The trouble was that my sister had a urine infection when she arrived that took 9 days for the staff to get anti biotics to treat her. They blamed a mix up with the doctors as they used a different practice to my sisters GP. It was only after i rang both practices that she received the treatment she needed. They also decided to stop her Strong pain medication and replace it with Paracetamol!! without consultation. Leaving my sister in immense pain and withdrawal from a medication she had been on for years. It was a huge relief to find her a place else where so she no longer suffered from the, in my opinion, incorrect decisions of the senior nursing staff.
Tilsley is a residential care home and does not employ nurses or provide nursing care. All clinical decisions, including prescriptions and treatment for infections, are managed by external healthcare...
My Mum has been provided the best care and support at Tilsley House for the past 20 years. That care was also extended to the family. All staff became her friends and family. With the utmost dignity, Mums' needs were addressed with respect. The atmosphere is a happy peaceful one, with entertainment, crafts, gardening club and Sunday services. Good is home cooked, with variety and delicious. I cannot speak highly enough of the Managers and entire Team. She craved a sanctuary and Tilsley House provided that and so much more.
Bless you. All our thoughts and codolenses to you. Your mum and you have truly been like family.
Thank you to the manager , who was so helpful and informative and nothing was to much trouble .
Amazing. Thank you very much for taking time to give feedback to our Manager, Michelle, and her staff. I am so happy to hear your dad enjoyed his stay. He is welcome anytime. Rizwan Govindji. Director
My Mum went to Tilsley House in February 2025 after a long stay in hospital. After a short period she began to eat again after not eating hardly at all in the hospital so that was a huge relief to myself and sister. The staff were great with her, and couldn't have asked for more from then, very caring and kind. She would have stayed at Tilsley permanently but unfortunately it was just to far from her family and we had to move her closer to us. I would ;just like to say a huge thankyou to all at Tilsley House for looking after Mum so well for us.
Thank you for taking the time to send your feedback, which we take very seriously. We have a continuous plan of actions to upgrade the rooms and facilities at Tilsley House.
Mum came to Tilsley House for respite care following a spell in hospital after a fall. Her stay in hospital had been particularly stressful and Mum hadn't slept well or wanted to eat during the time she was there. Tilsley House was the perfect haven for her after this experience. The managers of the home were confident that they could support her with improving her mobility and could give her the care and attention needed in order for her to recover her appetite and strength. She has a lovely room with an en-suite, which Mum was able to access independently quite soon after her arrival. All staff are very kind and there is a welcoming, friendly, family atmosphere to the home. I am impressed by the way they work together, whatever their role, for the benefit of the residents.
Thank you for taking the time to submit this review. We will do all we can to continue to improve our service at Tilsley House so all our residents and all our stakeholders have great experiences. Warm regards
