My father has been at Claydon House for just over a month and the staff have been so supportive, answering our numerous questions and taking time to help Dad settle. An amazing care home. The staff are very attentive, caring and professional. Always go above and beyond to make sure Mum is comfortable and safe. We are always welcomed with a friendly smile. Mum's room is always spotless and her clothes are washed frequently and put neatly away. She is treated with

Belmont House Nursing Home

from Christina H (Respite Resident) published on 11 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I booked for 2 weeks of respite care prior to major surgery where the outcome was uncertain & might have required a fair amount of care afterwards. A family member had previously had respite care here & was very impressed which is why I chose it over other options. Booking in was easy with phone calls
from managers & nursing staff to ensure my needs could be met. I was then contacted again post surgery so they could establish the outcome of my op and confirm when I would be discharged into their care.
I felt so welcomed when I arrived and the rooms themselves are en-suites, are smart and well looked after and feel like a hotel room. The biggest praise for my stay really goes to everyone who works here and I mean everyone. They are all so lovely & could not do enough for you, carers, nurses, housekeeping, kitchen cooks. They really are exceptional and are so kind and patient with their more elderly residents. I would absolutely recommend Belmont house for long or short term care.
Reply from Rowen Campbell, on behalf of the team at Belmont House Nursing HomeWhat lovely feedback, thank you! That really means a lot to us. Oaklands House Care Centre

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad was in the home for almost 4 years and in all that time he was always treated with care, kindness and respect. He was well cared for and although he could be difficult with his food they always tried to make sure that they cooked what he liked. As a family we were always made to feel welcome
and had a good relationship with the staff. My Dad especially enjoyed the days when they had singers in to entertain the residents and he always sung along to the songs. In the days leading up to the end of his life, all the staff made sure that he was well looked after and comfortable.
Bryon should be very proud of his team as they are all outstanding. Thank you all for all the love and care you gave our Dad.
Reply from Stuart Lamacraft, on behalf of the team at Oaklands House Care CentreThank you for sharing such a sincere review. We're honoured to have cared for your dad over those four years and are so pleased to hear he felt comfortable, supported and able to enjoy moments like the music and sing-alongs. Your kind words about the team, and Byron's leadership, mean a great deal to us all. Thank you for trusting us with your dad's care.

Mum went into the care home at the end of January. All the staff are very caring towards mum. It always seems clean and tidy, and all meals are cooked on site. They meet all of Mum's requirements. Mum cannot do anything for herself at the moment.

All anyone can wish for when their loved ones can no longer care for themselves is the opportunity to arrange the best loving care for them. As a family we are very pleased that we have found this care at Oaklands. The nursing staff & carers are wonderful and really treat Mum like a person not a job.
Mum has settled well and enjoys the activities which the team work hard to provide week in week out. It is a real community at the home and you can feel this as soon as you whale through the door.
Reply from Rowen Campbell, on behalf of the team at Oaklands House Care CentreWhat kind words, thank you! Thanks too for taking the time to write us a review and share your feedback of Oaklands. We're delighted with how well your mum has settled in here and how happy she seems to be. Do let us know if there is ever anything more we can do to help, or if we can answer any questions.

My dad arrived at Oaklands in April 2022 and from his arrival until his passing on 15th February 2026 he was treated with the upmost respect and first class care, the past few years gave him a second lease of life making new friends enjoying the entertainment particularly the sing along with Marcus.
The
past few days have been tough . This was made bearable by the care, love respect and dignity my dad and the family received during this emotional time. Our hearts are broken but are lives richer for having him as a dad dad in law and grandad.
You are truly all selfless kind compassionate people we thank you from the bottom of the family's hearts.
Reply from Rowen Campbell, on behalf of the team at Oaklands House Care CentreWe are all so sorry for your loss. It was an honour and a privilege to be able to care for your dad, and if we were able to make the last few years as happy as you suggest, we are truly humbled. We sincerely appreciate your kind words, especially at such a difficult time, and if there is ever anything more we can do to support your family, please don't hesitate to ask.

The staff at Kippingtons have been excellent in the time Dad has been in respite. They are hard-working, kind and caring to us all. They have treated Dad with respect and shown dedicated care to him at all times. Thanks to them he has now settled in well. The home offers good activities, a wide choice
of food, and encourages new friendships. A lovely room with all the facilities Dad needs. The love and care is well recognised and appreciated by all the family.

Nursing very good, prompt intervention when needed. Care very good, staff are patient, interact, he is always treated with respect and dignity. When my husband was ill with a chest infection the care/concern was prompt by all the staff. Whenever I have a worry/query the staff take time to answer. All
our friends and family remark how friendly and welcoming the home is.

Ferfoot Care Home

Mum and Dad came to Ferfoot together sometime ago from Kent. I spent a while previously going to various places that would be able to meet their needs. Ferfoot was in my mind the most genuine, warm and welcoming. Sadly dad passed away last year and as he became more frail the staff were lovely, respectful
and kind. He felt very comfortable and cared for and loved the food especially the cake and puddings. There was always someone nearby keeping an eye on him and he didn't pass away alone. The care staff were very kind and understanding to mum supporting her through this process. In the last year they have been so patient with her as she has found life sometimes frustrating. They come across different and sometimes difficult situations but deal with it all with a smile, encouragement and professionalism. I have no doubt I chose the right place for my parents.
The senior staff are also very approachable, friendly and keep me up to date with any changes.
Reply from Rowen Campbell, on behalf of the team at Ferfoot Care HomeWe are so sorry for your loss. My mum needed emergency care to provide rest bite for my dad. Once admitted it became clear that mum 's needs were much more serious than we had realised. With support and care from Ferfoot we have been able to understand mum's requirements and more able to make the decision for longer term care.

The

staff at Ferfoot have made us aware of mum's day to day needs and have allowed me to email, call and visit as often as I feel necessary to alleviate some of my worries. The manager has been very giving of her time and returned my many emails and calls to date.

I feel that mum is settling in well, and that we are adjusting as a family better than I'd hoped, this is in no small part due to the kindness of the staff at Ferfoot and how caring and compassionate they are.

The staff have really helped my father settle in after he joined the end Oct 2025. They are very patient and provide person-specific support. The facilities and activities at Wytham House are excellent. It is a huge relief to know that he is being looked after so well and seems much more peaceful and
at ease with his circumstances.
