Recently, they held a summer fayre for residents and families, a joyful event that showed the team's dedication. The daily planned activities show just how committed the home is to enriching the lives of those they care for.
The home is spotlessly clean, including individual rooms, which are well-kept and comfortable. Meals are home-cooked, well-presented and look like they've been made with real care.
Communication is excellent. Staff frequently update my grandfather and help put him at ease.
We highly recommend Brambling Lodge to anyone seeking quality care for a loved one.

didn't like. We liked the fact that from the start we were told you can come anytime you like. I think this speaks volumes that they don't have anything to hide and are consistent in their care for everyone who lives there. Everyone is always so welcoming when you enter. You can see they work really well together. It is the hardest job in the world, and I admire them all so much. The carers work really hard and are always so kind to Mum .Always have a smile & banter with her and nothing is too much trouble and she 'loves it here' as she said today to us which is such a relief and comfort to hear . It took a long time to find a good home and we can't fault it . Many thanks to all the staff

Although the primary need being Dementia care, his personal care and physical health needs were addressed with significant improvement. He always looked clean & tidy and thoroughly enjoyed the home cooked food, puddings and snacks on offer. Brambling is a homely, comfortable environment with a stable, ever attentive staff group. Bedroom and communal areas were always clean with activities on offer or quiet spaces. Staff always open the door with a friendly welcome, answering questions or concerns in an appropriate, well-informed manner. As next of kin (non-family) I always felt kept informed and involved in care decisions. I am totally appreciative of the care and compassion shown.

I was always treated very well too, was always offered a cup of tea and they even provided sandwiches for my daughter when she was hungry. During my mum's last few days the care team were incredibly supportive and compassionate which was very much appreciated.

my frail dad was amazing to see. My sister and I stayed over night and the night staff that evening were amazing and we really got to know a few of the carers better over the few days we had left, it is just sad it takes a relative to be end of life to really have the time to chat with staff and get to know what your loved ones likes and dislike are, but also comforting to know they think very highly of them and look after them as one of their own. They have all been amazing and Abode should be proud of all the team they have working for them because all the staff you meet greet you in a kind and friendly way. Thank you Brambling Lodge. xx

was so kind, caring and treated Mum with the dignity and respect that a 96-year-old, very frail lady deserved.
As a family, we were also treated very well, always the door was opened with a friendly face and we were always offered refreshments, was there for us when Mum was very poorly.

The residents enjoy making decorations with the help of a kind volunteer who spends Tuesday afternoons showing the residents how to make them. It's so lovely to see the concentration on their faces.
I am pleased with the care my husband is receiving on this terrible journey of dementia he is, unfortunately, on.

The rooms are what you make them, my wife's room is comfy and homely, decorated with lots of personal things, which you are encouraged to do. The rooms and social areas are kept immaculately clean and tidy. The residents are entertained with live music, also arts and craft. I never hesitate in recommending Brambling House Care Home and a relative of mine has used it twice recently for respite. I call all the staff... "angels in uniform".

I feel so lucky that in finding Brambling House I have been able to make Mum's time at this point in her life happy, comfortable, and secure.

passed in January of this year. My family and I could not have wanted better staff. They do not have a high turnover of staff which is fantastic for consistency and routine for my father. The staff were amazing with my father and met all his needs. He needed help bathing, all personal care, eating and getting dressed etc all of these were done to a high standard. My father's Dementia journey ended this year. He was on end-of-life care for 2 weeks. I'm not sure how I would have made it through that time if it wasn't for the manager and her staff. I wrote in my eulogy for Dad 'The manager and her staff showed love and kindness day after day. They were simply the best.'

respect and care for Mum. On our visits to see Mum, she always looked lovely. Mum would have her hair and nails done and the chiropodist came in too. The activities held there are amazing, there is nothing they left out. On Mum's birthday, we had balloons and banners put up which made it very special, nothing was ever a problem. Mum's favourite song she always sang was 'You Are My Sunshine', which the staff would often join in with her. If anyone is looking to find a care home then this is the place. A hidden gem in Shepherdswell. At the end, the dementia had taken control, Mum's last few days were made very comfortable. We were with Mum right up to her last smile. Thank you to everyone.

the home itself and her room and Mum, herself, always looking nice and fresh. She had her hair done and the chiropodist came too which she always enjoyed. Sadly, the last years she has been in her room more due to age, becoming more frail. But her care never changed up to the day she passed away peacefully with staff around her. We feel that Mum lasted as long as she did because of the care and love given to her all that time.
It was shown to us, her family, when my husband suddenly was taken ill and taken into hospital and passed away four months later. They were there for us too. An amazing home, so happy we found it, the best thing we ever did for Mum, she was so happy, bless her.

Unfortunately, my sister went in, in the November, as we were coming out of lockdown. But her illness took her from us in the March and the staff, again, could not have done any more for her than they did. We were able to be at her bedside till the end. We cannot thank them enough for all they did for her and for looking after us as well.
