When we met the management team and viewed the Avenue's facilities we realised we'd be unlikely to find anywhere else to come close to meeting dad's care and nursing needs. That view's only got stronger each day since he took up residence. The care and nursing standards he receives are exemplary. You
feel the passion right across the home for caring and supporting their vulnerable and ill residents. You know that is genuine! From carers, nurses, management and activities staff - we know we're entrusting dad's future wellbeing to a 'care' home - in the very sense of the word. His room is always spotless and the general cleaning and laundry is first class. The range of daily activities for the residents is always diverse and inclusive. And the quality and quantity of the catering is also of a very high standard. Finally, a big thank you to Ada, Emma and their management team for the caring support and help they've given and continue to do so in helping dad to transition into the Avenue.
Reply from Adrianna Mosur, Manager at The Avenue Nursing HomeThank you so much for this incredibly kind and thoughtful review. Myself, Emma, and the whole team are truly grateful for your words and trust. It's a privilege to care for your dad and we remain dedicated to his comfort and wellbeing.

The Glen was recommended to us whilst Dad was in a different care home . We were looking for an alternative care home due to our concerns regarding the care he was receiving.
From the moment we visited The Glen we were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. On the day we moved him everyone
knew his name including the Chef who made him his favourite lunch! Communication between staff, management and relatives is brilliant, I am kept regularly updated and any concerns I have are dealt with efficiently, professionally and with great empathy.
I would highly recommend this care home.

My mother has been a resident at the Avenue Nursing Home for over two years in the dementia section of the home. The care that she has received has been second to none and it has been a source of great comfort to our family to know that mum is being so well looked after. We know from previous experience
that this is not always the case. The staff are kind and attentive and there are lots of them. The managers are approachable and well informed about all the residents. They have been particularly helpful in allowing us to access one to one care for mum. The entertainment, food and other services are also first class. The home is secure but very open and welcoming.
Reply from Adrianna Mosur, Manager at The Avenue Nursing HomeThank you very much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mother's care has been a comfort to your family. Your words are truly appreciated by our staff who work hard to provide compassionate care in a safe and welcoming environment. Thank you for your trust in Avenue Nursing Home.

My wife was admitted to the Glen in December 2024 and remained there until she died in September last year. I am so grateful that she was able to spend her last few months at the home. The dedication to her care by all the management and staff was without doubt everything I could have hoped for. The
Glen was like one big family and they always made me feel welcome. Although my wife wasn't always able to fully appreciate the care she received, she nevertheless made special bonds with some of the team and enjoyed having her typical bit of banter with them. In summary I was always assured that my wife was receiving the best possible care and I doubt any other home could have provided better.
Thank you.
Reply from Emma Fisher, Manager at The Glen Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to send your feedback to us. Mum has now been in the Glen Nursing home for 5 months and recently celebrated a milestone birthday. Unfortunately, Mum's dementia means she does not have any memories of the day but our family always will, due to the wonderful staff and the care given.
From the very first day all the staff have shown
themselves to be totally dedicated, compassionate, kind, caring and very gentle with Mum.
The owner Rob told us that communication is the key and it's definitely true. All communication in the home is excellent and as Mum's health has deteriorated quickly this has been invaluable for our family. And it plays a vital role in the brilliant care given.
We have found all of the staff, no matter what their role is in the home, to be kind and caring with Mum, but also with our family. They are always willing to talk and to listen and act as necessary. And we cannot thank them enough, especially as we have peace of mind for the first time in a long time.
Thank you.

i just to say how amazing everybody is at the Avenue ,from the managers to the care team ,to the domestics, the workmen, everybody is so welcoming ,you can tell what a great team they are ,
The care my mum is being given is excellent the compassion the staff show is exceptional.
Mum was admitted,with
very ill health ,unable to communicate ,and unable to leave her bed ,the staff have shown so much compassion and respect ,and helped her keep her dignity ,
The home itself has so many facilities that they can join in if able to ,they have something going on everyday ,
There is so much i could say about the home but in a few words i now feel my mum is safe and treated with compassion and i can not thanks the whole team enough

At The Avenue there is a real sense of a team working together to provide a caring, calm and supportive environment for the residents. All staff, whatever their role, quickly establish their own relationship with the residents, and respond promptly and kindly to their needs. Management and nursing staff
are always visible and available, which is reassuring for the families. The home is totally secure, and yet its open and spacious layout ensures that those residents who are mobile can move around safely with no feeling of being 'locked in'. This has been particularly important to my husband. The Avenue is a special place, and our family is truly appreciative of the care it offers.

It means so much to hear that our team's warmth, attentiveness, and sense of togetherness have made such a difference for your husband and your family. My mum was admitted to the Avenue Nursing Home May/June 25 on palliative care. The staff and management were so lovely with her, anything that we asked for was seen to immediately. They were so caring with her especially in her last days. As she hardly left her room staff were always popping in to make
sure she was ok. Whilst visiting her I was always asked if I wanted a drink or cake when they brought it in. The friendlies staff, laundry always clean for her too. I can not thank them enough.

Mum moved into the avenue in November 21 at the age of 89. There weren't many residents at the time, as it was newly opened, meant staff were only caring for a few residents in situ at the time. She is now 93, and even though the number of residents has increased, the care and attention to her needs
have never diminished. I believe that she thrives on the excellent care and support given by all members of staff. Always informed of any issues. We are truly lucky to entrust her to their excellent care and compassion. Can't speak highly of them enough. Thank you is all we can say.
Reply from Adrianna Mosur, Manager at The Avenue Nursing HomeIt's so lovely to hear how happy your mum is and how well she's looked after. The care and kindness she receives clearly make such a difference to her life, and it's wonderful to know she continues to thrive surrounded by such warmth and compassion. Even as the home has grown, it's clear that the attention and love from the team have never changed. It must be such a comfort knowing she's in the best possible hands, cared for by people who truly go above and beyond every day.

My Mum has been a resident since April 2024 and we as a family cannot speak too highly of the care, support, respect and empathy she has been shown by management, nursing, caring, ancillary, and catering staff. ALL the staff at Five Rise are committed to providing first class care in a beautifully clean,
extremely comfortable home where all my mum's needs are met. She continues to be settled, safe and happy living at Five Rise. I have found everybody connected to the home very approachable and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Management helped me navigate a difficult but necessary process and continue to be very helpful. The home has created beautiful gardens and a thoughtful memory lane which my mum enjoys i the good weather. A big shout out to the 2 activity coordinators who go above and beyond providing an amazing timetable of events throughout the year.
I would recommend Five Rise to anyone.

Unfortunately my father passed away in early August. The care he received at The Avenue was absolutely fantastic. From day one to his final moment ALL the staff were so compassionate & caring, not just for dad but for his immediate family. The care home has all the modern facilities & is extremely clean

My mum has been a resident since January 2019. She had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and her GP recommended Five Rise because of their specialist dementia care experience. We have been thoroughly pleased with absolutely everything that Damien and his staff have done for mum over the years. At 94 years
of age, she is now a very frail old lady and the dementia has taken away all recognition of us and taken her power of speech, but she is still as strong willed as she always was and hanging in there due to the care and attention she receives daily.
I would not hesitate in recommending Five Rise Nursing Home to anyone. Without the attention of the wonderful, friendly and efficient staff, we would have lost mum many years ago.

Thank you so much to you and your wonderful staff for looking after my wife.
My wife was the youngest resident whilst she was at The Glen.
My wife's brain tumour sadly caused paralysis in the left hand side of her body, which meant that day to day tasks were extremely difficult for my wife.
Your
staff, and the 1 to 1's assigned to my wife, lovingly looked after my wife with the utmost care and dignity.
Thank you

After finding this care home earlier this year, we decided to move my mum here. The best decision we ever made. In the care home she was previously in she had not been out of bed. They arranged the transport to the Avenue and after settling in after a couple of days they got her out of bed into the
lounge which was amazing to see and all our family were amazed. All the staff are brilliant and seem to know all the residents names and also very helpful with family. They put on entertainment on regularly and involve all to get up singing. My mum has dementia but when I visited when a turn on my mum started to sing along. Absolutely pleased with the carehome, staff and managers. Thank you so much.

My Mother -in-law was admitted for end of life care . The care she received was outstanding . All the staff were so professional, kind and were very prompt in responding to my mother-in-laws needs especially when she was nearing the end of her life . Her dignity being maintained at all times.
Her husband
was equally cared for as he visited every day and stayed for most of that day . All the staff were very attentive and understanding of his needs .
This care was extended to the rest of the family . Nothing was too much trouble and all our needs at this difficult time were anticipated and if we ever did ask for anything , these needs were met with a prompt , caring and understanding response.
We were always met with a smile at the door and every member of staff we passed smiled and said hello and even before we entered her room a staff member would always asked us to just call them if we needed anything .
The facilities and cleanliness were outstanding with attention to detail at all times
