Mum has been at Winsford Grange for 20 months now. I've been impressed with all the staff from management, nurses, care workers, cleaners and activities team. I feel mum is being looked after very well and professionally.

The care home has improved over the last few months in many ways. Management, staff and building improvements in all areas. The care and attention to the clients is also much better. We would like to thank all staff on the units for their work and support and hope that those improvements will continue in the future. The home has a lot to give. The place has a nice feel when you walk in now and a much happier place all round.

My dad went into the home in February 2024 when it wasn't that good. NO organisation staffing was an issue - level of care was non-existent, the home wasn't a happy place then in June 2024 everything changed for the best. - The manager was removed a higher nurse and staff. A particular staff member was amazing confronting all the families saying things were on the the up after an awful time then we had a new manager. Wow what a change he has made, he is amazing, all staffing and nurses. It really is amazing the decoration is amazing and the staff are so much happier. :)

Christmas Day our daughter, son-in-law and myself had our dinner with my husband, we were warmly welcomed, had an excellent delicious meal, three courses, drinks all serviced by the activities staff and kitchen staff who had all worked on Christmas Day to look after and take care of the residents and their families. My husband thoroughly enjoyed having his family with him. I often have lunch with my husband which he loves me to do. I look forward to these meals which are always well-cooked, well-prepared and tasty with a good variety, fresh vegetables and a pudding. The care staff were attentive and helpful.

My wife came into Winsford Grange at the beginning of June 2024 after 3 weeks in hospital, prior to that, she had been in another care home for approximately 3 and a half years at which she was settled. My wife, at first, was placed on Austin wing which was unclean and messy, there was even an ants nest in her room of which I complained and she was moved. Since then, there has been a dramatic change at Winsford Grange. She was moved to Chaucer Wing, this has had a wonderful effect on her, after a few weeks she became happier and more content than at any time in a care home. This is without doubt down to all the staff on Chaucer.

Since July the home has had many improvements. The staff and residents seem happier. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. After attending meetings with the management I feel assured that they are continuing to improve the home to the high standards it should be.

I can see so many positive improvements since he has been in the home since June. Thank you to all the hardworking staff.

My mother has been at Lakeview for four months. During this time, she has been treated with nothing but kindness and dignity. The manager's knowledge of her changing clientele is astonishing. The staff are always friendly and approachable. Mum has made excellent progress and is now ready to move on to a permanent placement near me; however, if I lived closer to Trentham, I would have no hesitation at all in her remaining at Lakeview. Thank you to all of the team; you have done an amazing job with Mum and been a great support to me and the family.

I can’t fault the staff but the general upkeep of the place is terrible. The gardens are overgrown and walking towards the reception is covered in weeds and dead plants the place looks really rundown.

The food is good and wholesome, the resident is always happy and well looked after.

Mum was in here for a few months after being passed from another care home as they did not have the facilities to care for her correctly. She had dementia and needed 24-hour care - whilst, at the previous home, she would try to escape and was frequently found on the main road, or in the main hospital. The staff at Lake View were wonderful, attentive, and caring and used to say that mum was a character and kept them on their toes. I have full respect for anyone who does this job as it must be incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, we lost mum last week, but in her final hours, the team were absolutely amazing. Me and my brother stayed all day and night and were never rushed or told to leave, the team made us food and drinks the whole time whilst making sure mum was clean and comfortable. I can't recommend Lake View enough, thanks for making our mum's last months as lovely as they could have been.

My friend of 40 years was in Lakeview for a short time before passing away there. The staff are all very caring and show compassion and kindness to each individual resident. I worked in a care home for 25 years, so when we viewed the home we automatically knew what we were looking for. And I can tell you now it ticked all our boxes. My friend was one of the first to be allocated a place at Lakeview and from day one we could not fault anything. Unfortunately, she only spend 4 weeks there but we got to know the staff and office staff very well. If you are thinking of placing a parent or friend in Lakeview go and visit and ask the hard questions and I assure you they will answer truthfully.

My mum was a resident in Lakeview, unfortunately, her stay was only four weeks but in those four weeks, we got to know the staff and office staff very well. I also worked in a care home so I noticed things that perhaps other people would not notice and I can honestly say I could not fault anything. We had a few niggles at first but they were dealt with straight away and they did not occur again. The night my mum died the staff showed us all compassion and treated mum with the utmost dignity and care. There was no rush to empty the room, and it was kept locked until we were ready. Please if you are in the position we were in and need a care home for a loved one, go visit Lakeview and ask questions, look in rooms and speak to staff and residents. We knew mum was settled there which is half the battle.

Mum was sent from hospital to lakeview for assessment. Whilst there she was treated with respect and care from all the staff. Staff numbers were very high in relation to residents so mum had one to one care. Home wa kept very clean and warm. No negative comments and happy with her stay.

My husband was a resident for 3-months, from June to September 2021. In the short time, he was there, he was well looked after and was always clean and tidy. Due to Covid, I could only visit twice a week, but the staff kept me informed between visits. Sadly he passed away peacefully in my arms, but the staff were very supportive at the time.

Clean and friendly environment and the staff were so helpful and pleasant, making a wonderful experience for my mum and I. Thank you.

Mum receives excellent care at Winsford Grange. She is kept safe and clean and when I visit, she always seems happy. The first time in a long time she says she is ok instead of being in floods of tears like she was in her previous home. The staff are excellent and genuinely care about her.
