My Dad lived at Meadow view care home for 3 year's he loved it every minute it was clean, tidy all the time, the care, kindness, compassion, dedication, support and respect given and not just to my Dad but to my family as well, even on his down days due to his Alzheimer's they were there, My Dad was put on end of life in early May, from the managers senior carers, carers even down to the cooks and cleaners they were so caring, supportive of my family in our time of need, always there to offer to make tea and coffee, sandwiches even meals were offered to us in my Dads last few days, there end of life protocols were 1st class everything we needed to know we knew, every step all the time. As a care home the we couldn't thank the staff enough for everything they did and have done for my Dad we as a family will be eternally grateful to all the staff who we say are like family to us now for the thoughtfulness throughout our Dad residence there.much love and thanks from Charlie's family
My mum was only here for 3 weeks unfortunately, but the care and compassion they gave my wonderful mum and me in that time was absolutely amazing ,they couldn't do enough for us ,,a special thankyou to Lisa for being there right till the end,,and Louise and Tanya your kindness was amazing,,very compassionate Thankyou Michelle and Ellie xxx
This was my first visit to my uncle since he transferred. We were warmly welcomed. My uncle looked happy, smart and generally well cared for. His room is bright and pleasant and he seemed much more alert and relaxed at the same time. We were offered a hot drink and as we left had a pleasant conversation with the nurse in charge. So reassuring
My mum was moved here on the 31st July 2023 from another nursing home. A change of management was just happening. So any negative remarks might be from before then. My mum needed 24 hour care due to her having a massive stroke. She finds it difficult to communicate but I can tell she is comfortable and happy. The staff are very caring, helpful and tend to her every need. She enjoys being brought down into the lounge where she can watch other people as she is unable to join in herself, she is always included in the activities. I would recommend your loved one being cared for here.
Thank you for your feedback. The comfort and safety of our residents is our main priority.
When I first saw Braeside NH I wondered what I'd done allowing my mum to become a resident. It looked shabby and old fashioned (it has since started a schedule of works to improve it). Very quickly I changed my mind when I realised how warm and caring the staff are ( all staff permanent and know the residents). The food is good, with residents preferences taken into account. My mum's always treated with respect and as an individual. Staff spend time with her and try and boost her confidence and include her in the various activities that go on both inside the home, and in the community. I have access to managers where I have always been listened to and any change requests for mums care actioned. She has now been there 18 months and I can relax knowing that she is so well cared for.
Braeside continues to strive for excellence
My Mum has been in this home for just under two weeks and during that time, the managers are excellent, along with the care team who support her. Nothing is too much trouble and I highly recommend this; thank you again. You all do a fantastic job. Thank you once again.
My Dad had dementia and was taken to hospital. After treatment of an infection he picked up, we were informed that he needed more care than the present care home could provide and were told that Braeside Nursing Home had a vacancy. After reading some of the reviews we were quite concerned however, these were unfounded. The nursing home is spotlessly clean although a little tired but the staff couldn't do enough for you and actioned (within reason) any requests put to them. They're helpful and cheerful rather than grudgingly carrying out residents'/families' wishes and preferences. As a family, we were overall very pleased with Braeside and its staff.
My mum is a resident at Meadow View Home is lovely, always clean and the staff are amazing. I can go to sleep at night without worrying because she is well cared for, I am so glad I chose this home, keep up the good work your all amazing.
My mother has been in Meadow View Residential Home for just over two years now and has just celebrated her 94th birthday there. I really can't speak highly enough about the care given and the quality of care staff. Absolutely every effort is made to make every day enjoyable for the residents. My mother quite simply loves being there and will tell anyone who asks that she really doesn't want to be anywhere else. The effort that all of the staff made to make my mothers recent birthday celebration memorable was above and beyond what I could have expected. I wish to thank all the staff at Meadow View for the continued excellent care given to my mother. Thank you all.
From the very beginning, the staff were kind and professional. They had very little information from the hospital so asked if I could 'fill in the gaps'. My mother is partially sighted and deaf, as well as having the start of dementia. The staff couldn't have done any more for her. I'm in awe of their patience and kindness. Once they discovered that Mum loved to be outside in the garden, they facilitated it, they thought up inventive ways to keep her occupied and stimulated. Most of all they were incredibly flexible allowing us to visit around our jobs, letting us take her out for the day and even allowing the great grandchildren to visit. The home is very clean and tidy but without being regimented so my mum honestly felt like she was staying in a hotel! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
My Grandma has recently been a resident at Braeside Nursing Home. The care provided by the staff was exceptional. The staff were caring and kind and treated my Grandma with great respect and dignity. Braeside became a lovely home for her in her final days and months and we could not have asked for better care. Thank you for everything you did for her. With love from my family.
My mum is a resident in the EMI unit and has only been there just over a week. She has been in two other homes previously, which were fine but I can honestly say that Braeside is an absolute gem and that is after such a short time of her being here. It is spotlessly clean, Mums room is lovely, all the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. You are welcome at any time of the day or night and I have been kept up to date with all that is going on with Mum, both medically and personally. The staff are very attentive and I couldn't ask for more than that. They actually appear to be happy working there and I put that down to good management. My dad was a resident four years back and a lot of the staff are still there so something must be right. My uncle, Mums brother-in-law, visited and his first words to me were about how clean Mum looked and he is absolutely correct. No one wants to place a loved one into care but I am so grateful Mum is in one of the best with Braeside.
The Mews has warmth and friendliness, we are always welcomed. A member of the nursing staff attended with my brother to our dad’s funeral ensuring he was looked after and could be involved, this was invaluable to us and our family. My late dad often talked about the staff in glowing terms and their selfless attitude to the care they provide on a daily basis. Whilst The Mews itself is not a fancy establishment, it is filled with knowledgeable staff providing a safe and caring environment for which we are very grateful.
My wife only required nursing home care towards the end of her life, and moved to The Mews following a poor experience at another home: what a difference! The staff, from the management down, are extraordinary. They are cheerful, friendly and, most important of all, good at what they do, which is providing a homely, caring environment for residents and visiting relatives alike. In the short time we were there we were made to feel like family, and the care and attention they put into looking after my wife was exceptional. I cannot sing their praises loudly enough. They made what could have been an extremely traumatic experience, not only bearable, but, in a strange way, almost a pleasure. Thank God I found them in time.
Thank you for your very kind words which will be passed onto all of the staff team, I am sure I speak for all the staff when I say that being trusted to care for people is a privilege. Keep in touch!
My mother is a resident in Braeside. I would recommend highly. The staff are just brilliant and so helpful and lovely. Thank you all for your ongoing support and well done.
My mother has just completed 2 weeks respite at this care home which we chose following recommendation by friends. We couldn't have been more pleased with the care she received from the staff. As a family, we know the difficulties caring for my mother as she can be challenging, however, the staff couldn't have done more to put our mind at rest. Always a friendly welcome and knowing she was in good hands too helped my father immensely.
I recommend Braeside highly.
My sister has lived at Braeside for some time, unfortunately she passed away on Friday 30th of March. I can honestly say she was very happy living there, her comments on the good meals she had and the care she received mean a lot to me as I live far away and was unable to visit as much as I would have liked. Also the carers were always kind on the telephone. The last time I came up I was able to spend some time with her in her room which was spotless. I was more than happy with my visit. I would like to thank everyone for the care they gave her to the end. Wishing Braeside carers and staff every success for the future.
Fenton Mews has been my second home for more than 20 years as we have watched my Mum's MS progress from bad to worse. Whilst the decor has changed more times than I can remember, the staff have not. Every visit to see mum was made whole by interactions with the team. Such kind people doing such amazing work, I could not think of a better place for mum to have been beyond the reasonable time she was at home. Genuine dedication to each resident and a selfless attitude towards work that needs doing. I will be forever grateful for the tenderness and care they showed my mum.
Almost a year ago we had to make the very hard decision to hand the care of our very dear friend into 24-hour care. From meeting staff at the initial assessment, we felt at ease about the care that they could offer and we have never had to question our decision. She has severe dementia but is treated with such care and dignity and we are kept up to date with needs and care plans. All the staff are friendly and approachable and supportive to relatives, realising how hard it is to see your loved ones slipping away. The home is always clean, rooms spotless, money always being spent on decoration updates. I would not hesitate to recommend this home.
