I really feel I could not have came to a better place to recover from what had been a very serious operation. It would have been impossible to go straight home from hospital.
All the staff have been kind, supportive, encouraging and professional. I now feel confident that I am returning home to carry
on with the next steps on my recovery! Thank you to everyone and I shall miss you also the other residents have been friendly - shall miss them too!

Stowlangtoft Hall

from Clare B (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 1 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My grandmother was cared for at Stowlangtoft Hall for a couple of months at the end of her life. The care and compassion she was shown throughout her stay was hugely appreciated. It was a difficult time for us as a family as well, and we always felt supported and cared for, particularly in my grandmother's
final days. It goes without saying that the setting is stunning with beautiful grounds and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. But what sets Stowlangtoft Hall apart is the incredible staff. Everyone from the carers to nurses, cleaning staff, management team, activities ladies and catering staff, all go above and beyond. It's clear that the team really care about what they do. The carers and nurses do an incredible job and always treated my grandmother with kindness and respect, which was so appreciated. She was even given a lovely birthday with cake, candles and birthday present the week before she passed away. I will always be grateful to everyone at SH for their outstanding care.

Reply from Charlie Diamond, Marketing and Communications Lead at Stowlangtoft Hall

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. It means a great deal to know that our team's care and compassion provided comfort to your grandmother and your family during such a difficult time. We're especially touched that her birthday was a special moment for her and those around her. Your appreciation for every member of our team is truly humbling, and we're honoured to have been part of her journey.

My mother's standard of care was more than excellent , with highly skilled and very caring, committed staff at all levels providing personalised care , helping her to feel valued, respected and cared for in her end of life care . Excellent food was always provided , plus extra special touches of a
beautiful gift and a birthday cake in the last week of her life. As visitors our family we were always made welcome with friendly smiles and an cuppa. All staff knew the updated situation as my mother's health declined . We always felt confident that there was excellent communication between staff and with us visiting . The building and decor were also of the highest standards of quality and cleanliness; spacious so that all residents were afforded quiet and privacy . A full programme of seemingly excellent activities were offered although Mum was too ill to take part . In summary , superb care for my mother as a resident and superb care for our family members visiting her .

The home itself is in a beautiful setting and feels peaceful and calm. Staff are pleasant and welcoming to visitors. My Nan spent her last few weeks here and although it was difficult to see her declining physically and mentally she had dignity thanks to the kind and respectful care provided here. Her
room was very pleasant and the food very good. Staff went the extra mile to help her celebrate her 97th birthday. Thank you to all at Stowlangtoft Hall.

My Mum spent the final few months of her life at Melford Court.
The staff were amazing. They were patient and caring of both my Mum and myself. They supplied her with drinks and biscuits when she wanted them - no matter what the time of day or night!! They were there for me when I needed a shoulder
to cry on when things got too much for me as Mum neared the end of her life.
When the time came, they were respectful of Mum's wishes and made sure she was comfortable.
She was happy staying at Melford Court, and I was able to relax knowing she had the 24-hour care she needed.

Manson House is an excellent Care Home. My father is very well looked after and he is happy living in the home. There are plenty of staff and they are all very friendly. The building is well looked after and clean. My father has a lovely room and there are several very pleasant reception rooms downstairs
for activities and in which residents can relax.

Brandon Park

from Simone M (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Dad passed away in hospital in June 2024. Both parents had been residents at Brandon Park since December 2019 (Mum), January 2020 (Dad).
Within days of Dad's 2020 arrival, both parents were moved to a lovely double room to share, where their different and complex medical/health needs were met with
utmost care and dignity.
After Dad's passing, the compassion and sensitive understanding shown was absolutely first-rate! The care shown by the Brandon Park "family", from director-level to carers at every level, we couldn't have been better cared for. Not said at all lightly, they all feel like an extension of our caring, warm family.
Mum's deteriorating vascular dementia was worsened by the upset of losing Dad; her husband, best friend and partner of almost 65 years. When Mum needed to be moved to a smaller, single room, it was handled with such caring sensitivity, forethought, kindness, compassion and grace that cannot be faulted.
Thank you so much!

The home administrator at Brandon Park organised a fantastic trip to the pantomime. I was able to sit with Dad on the bus which accommodated his wheelchair. This trip allowed him to get out of a social event and also to see the countryside on the way up. He very much enjoyed the trip out and is looking
forward to future trips to the seaside etc.

I have been extremely happy with the care Grandad has received since being at Manson House. Grandad was unsure that a care home was for him, but he has fully embraced the activities that have been offered. He enjoys going to the garden room and socialising with other residents. I have been very pleased
with the care Grandad has received. The staff are very kind, caring and approachable.

My mother, very reluctantly I have to say, went to Manson House for two weeks of respite care on October 3rd 2023. After only a week she told us she didn't want to leave and has been a resident ever since. As a family, we are so grateful to the exceptional staff for taking such good care of her and
most importantly making her feel safe. I don't think Mum could be any happier than she is at Manson.

My mum moved into Manson House in November and we've been really impressed with the level of care she's received since then.
Despite initially being in a room that wasn't 100% suitable the team did everything they could to make sure Mum was still comfortable and as soon as a room that was more appropriate
became available we were given the opportunity to transfer.
All members of staff have been really supportive of Mum's needs and a special mention must go to the food on offer, I've had a few meals at the home with Mum and they're fantastic!

So delighted at how quickly my mother settled in and had made many good friends. Lots of fun activities to join in with and a garden and summer house she uses all seasons.
The staff couldn't be more helpful, caring or welcoming.
Mum's room is light and welcoming. She has much of her own furniture
there. Always kept clean and tidy by super staff who are second to none in my opinion and I've worked in a fair few nursing homes in the past and Manson House outshines them all.

All the staff are extremely friendly and look after our family member.
We are happy with the care she receives at Melford Court.
In terms of improvement, a bigger en suite in the room would be advantageous and ensure the resident is frequently checked upon for toileting needs.

Thank you for your feedback, it's good to hear your family member is being well looked after and you're happy with their care. We are pleased to have a variety of bedroom and en suite sizes to suit all budgets, if you find your loved one would benefit from a larger space, we'd be delighted to show you options. Enthusiasm, energy, inclusivity of the activities team is the daily highlight in this home. Activities of what may be going on in the activities room has got my dad up daily and engaged. Events in the calendar are marked and planned for well in advance, with all residents making, cutting, painting -
all responsible for the final effect - stow in the snow at Brandon Park is truly impressive!
