Myself and family members were very happy with mum's time at Greenhive Care Home. The staff on mums unit and the team leaders work really hard, sometimes under difficult conditions. They do a fantastic job keeping the residents safe and ensure the residents personal hygiene is done regularly.. Whilst
all the team leaders were very good, one was a fantastic team leader, she really goes the extra mile. Residents rooms are spotless and are cleaned on a daily basis. The activities co-ordinator does a brilliant job with the residents. You can see she is passionate about her role, The activities are varied, imaginative and inclusive. Lots happening throughout the week. I must also say a huge thank you to each and every staff member who looked after mum during her time at Greenhive. Thank you!
Reply from Emily Fraher, Marketing Executive at GreenhiveThank you so much for your heartfelt feedback. We'll be sure to share your lovely comments with the team leaders, carers, housekeeping team, and our activities co-ordinator-they'll be so pleased to hear this feedback.Thank you again for your trust and support.

Mum seems very comfortable and well cared for. Meals served are varied and highly nutritious. I appreciate that the staff know all the residents well and come across as friendly and approachable. I believe it benefits residents that bedroom doors are left open. My mum can always hear voices in the corridor.

It is the staff and nurses at Greenhive that really makes it the very best haven for my father (who is suffering from Alzheimer's and vascular dementia quite severely). He is safe, really well looked after and genuinely cared for by these angels.
Whilst the corporate communication between the provider
(Agincare) and it's customers (we the family of a resident) could do with softening at times. Our overall experience has been very good - and this is almost all down to the nurses and carers. A huge thank you to them!
Reply from Emily Fraher, Marketing Executive at GreenhiveThank you for sharing your feedback. We're truly grateful for your kind words about our team and the care they provide for your Father. It's wonderful to hear that he feels safe and well looked after. We also appreciate your thoughts on communication, and we'll take them into account as we work to improve further. Thank you once again for your support and for recognising the hard work of our carers.

My husband has Alzheimer's with vascular dementia (advanced). He is very happy at Greenhive Care Home. The staff are exceptional - professional, caring and always available to talk. They look after him as his dementia has worsened and he needs help with even basic tasks. They are friendly and chatty
to the residents, treating them with humour and understanding, as well as respect. The home is managed by Agincare and communication with them has been rather difficult. But that has been sorted ad he continues to be happy and content at Greenhive.
Reply from Emily Fraher, Marketing Executive at GreenhiveThank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience with us. We also appreciate your feedback on communication, and we're glad to hear that this has been addressed. Thank you again for your support!

Can not fault this place, always spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and caring especially the lady who looks after my mother, she goes beyond to do anything you need. Was a bit apprehensive when Mum went in but she is cared for in every way and she is so settled. Best place in my opinion, can't
fault them.

My aunt is very comfortable and relaxed, also in a better state of mind. Having people to talk to, also her eating is good. The diabetes is gone that's really good, she's not on her death's bed like in the sheltered accommodation which was the wrong place for her. So I am happy she is here.

I have been visiting Greenhive now for a number of years and I do think it's gone downhill. I find the staff less friendly especially downstairs on Beckett. I have spoken to two team leaders there and one is very helpful and the other one is quite rude and in my opinion, doesn't want to do anything,
Today 15/1/24 I made a mistake for which I apologised. My mother-in-law thought her phone went missing so I spoke to a care who was very unhelpful. I then spoke to her again this time she said see the team leader as its nothing to do with her. I then spoke to the team leader who again was very unhelpful, then another carer butted in and practically called me a liar. She said no one ever goes in her room at which I said I've been in the room on quite a few occasions when someone has walked in and I've told them they're in the wrong room. I ended up telling the carer to mind her own business because I'm talking to the so-called team leader. Who again wasn't interested.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.581)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.581) out of 10 for Greenhive is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 31 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.581 for Greenhive is calculated as follows: ( (236 Excellents x 5) + (96 Goods x 4) + (24 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 358 Ratings = 4.581
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Greenhive is based on 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 64 registered maximum number of service users is 12.8, which has been reached with 30 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
