Kent House is a fantastic Residential Care Home specialising in Dementia care and is located in a quiet residential cul-de-sac in Harrow Weald off Long Elms Road.

There is always an event or an occasion to celebrate at Kent House, the staff make sure they hold many activities so that their residents are always on their toes with exciting things to do. Kent house always welcomes visiting families and friends to join in on the fun, no one is left to feel out of place or unwelcomed.

This is my first visit since my uncle came to stay at Kent House. He was very overweight in the last home but today, his weight loss was apparent.
He looked well, he was chatty and smiling. He spoke fondly of the staff, his room and the meals.
The care home was clean and tidy, staff were interacting
with the residents. Residents looked happy and were being encouraged to join in activities.

Never having a relative in a home, when we brought my mother here to Kent House I had some reservations about the home, and how my mum would be treated, but all concerns that I had, I am pleased to say have been put to rest. I have found the staff to be caring and supportive towards my mother and other
residents. On a whole, my family are satisfied with her care.

My mother is well cared for here. The carers help her whenever she asks for help. The chef is very accommodating as well. When my mother has a doctor appointment I notify the staff personally as well as via email and they are helpful with getting my mother ready, giving me my mother's medications. I'm
very impressed with the labelled medications. There are policies in place. I am overall happy as the staff are understanding and caring.

Each time I visit Kent House I am warmly greeted by all the staff. I always check on the health of my in-laws and the staff and management are always happy to answer any questions I have. They encourage us to bring in items of personal interest to help them stay settled.

I'm very pleased with the progress my grandmother has made. Also, she has settled in very well and is happy to be at this home. The manager has always been a great help and still is now. The staff who work here are friendly and that is very nice. Any problems or concerns, the staff act upon them straight

All aspects of service continue to improve. My parents have more flexibility over showering and movement which has improved their mood. The staff continue to be attentive, caring and they know and use their residents' names. Thanks for the efforts to occupy my father - much appreciated.

My mother is a resident here at Kent House. She has settled in well and is happy there. I find the staff very approachable and understanding towards my mother's needs and care. They go out of their way to make my mother happy and content. The manager always has time to speak to myself and she will call
me if there is any concern and if my mother is not well, they will call on my mobile to inform me. It is not an easy job looking after the elderly and I appreciate all the care and attention.

Upon arrival, I am always greeted and helped by a very friendly and professional staff member. It is very clean and well maintained, they seem to repaint often. Food is rated as 'lovely' by my mother which is a relief. I will be happy knowing my mother is being cared for in this home.

The management team are amazing. My uncle has shown great improvement since moving to this home from his last. The staff encourage and engage with him. He used to sit in his room and not take part in activities in his last home, at Kent House, he's always downstairs and actively taking part. I loved
when he moved in that I had to fill in a form and numerous sheets about my uncle which included his favourite items, memories, past lifestyle and details such as what he likes to wear. This from the start made me feel like the home cared and that he would be treated as an individual.

Before becoming a home manager, Ebbie's journey with Gold Care Homes began as a deputy home manager and a regional support manager.
