Shepherds Corner specialises in supporting people with mental health and/or learning disabilities. Staff are also trained in peg feeding.
They provide 24-hour accommodation and support for 13 residents in a homely environment where the majority of clients have resided with the home for extended periods of time.
Bramley Health has owned Shepherd’s Corner for over 10 years and during that time they have consistently maintained a CQC rating of ‘Good’ in all categories (October 2019).
The service has been developed and designed in line with the principles and values that underpin Registering the Right Support and other best practice guidance. This ensures that people who use the service can live as full a life as possible and achieve the best possible outcomes. The principles reflect the need for people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live meaningful lives that include control, choice, and independence. People using the service receive planned and co-ordinated person-centred support that is appropriate and inclusive for them.
Shepherds is very unique: they empower their residents with a lot of community activities tailored to their needs. They support residents to access community activities and holidays according to their choice and needs. The team prides itself on innovative quality service to all residents.
