The staff have been outstanding in all aspects - very hard working and compassionate. Despite restrictions due to Covid-19 the staff have communicated well with the family and provided lots of activities. My mother is happy and her mental health has improved due to the high quality of care.

Covid has made placing Mum into care very difficult, however staff at Carrington House have been absolutely amazing in ensuring Mum is happy, safe and well looked after. The family are encouraged to contact as much as possible and are always accommodated. Cannot thank Carrington House enough.

I am so pleased with the home, care and attention my mum receives. The food and the cleanliness is excellent. The staff and management are all wonderful. I could not wish my mum to be anywhere else. Everyone at Carrington House are all excellent! Well done.

This is the first time I have experienced a care home. My husband has dementia with challenging behaviour.
I can honestly say; that all the staff at Carrington House are the most caring people you could wish for; to look after your loved one.
Nothing is too much trouble for them. It amazes me they
said to be unskilled workers; to me, this is clearly not so.
The home is extremely well run, which is always down to good management. There is always plenty of good home-cooked meals as I have seen for myself. Cannot fault this home.

Really understanding staff, always trying to do their best to look after the residents. I have complete confidence that my mum is being really cared for and this makes it so much easier for me to accept her being in a care home. Exceptionally caring and cheerful staff. Their interaction with residents, whatever their mental capacity, is outstanding.
Activities on a daily basis are good and varied. Food and drinks are plentiful and all visitors are made to feel welcome. My husband is responding well to this caring environment.

Though not the most attractive of care homes I have seen, the dedication and quality of care given by the staff is truly remarkable and unsurpassed by any other similar establishment I have visited. All, without exception, care deeply for the residents and do their best to make them happy.

My time at Carrington has opened my eyes about life from the carers to the residents to the admin staff they do a marvellous, rewarding, caring service. Lastly, all the staff at Carrington are naturally good, honest people. I will miss them so much and I will keep in touch with everyone at Carrington.
All the staff here are amazing, they go about their duties like a well-oiled machine. They are all in sync. Being not an easy career they do their duties with gusto, nothing phases the whatever the task given them. In my opinion, they love their duties with pure heart on their sleeves. I have gone through a rough patch but how they handled me, they put more than a smile on my face. They are my angels and all the resident's angels. By the way, they handle difficult situations is unbelievable. The food here is very, very good, well carried, cooked to perfection and I should know as I was in the kitchen with my father from the age of eight. Considering there is an average sixty residence that need feeding that, on its own, is no mean feat. On hygiene, ten out of ten throughout the building. Management there is the key to the smooth running of this care home.

My wife has been in the care home for just over 2 years and during that time has received excellent care and kindness by all staff. The management has always kept me well informed regarding medication and any illness if a doctor has attended. Activities are well provided, however, it is difficult to
involve some residents (my wife is one) who has a short concentration span.


Overall, I have no complaints or concerns regarding the care home and would recommend it to anyone.

The care home is clean and comfortable. The staff are exceptional. Each and every one of them are kind and caring and have a genuine affection for all the residents. I have been visiting my father virtually every day since the end of March 2017. I go at various times of the day and evening and have
never seen any member of the staff treat a resident with anything other than respect and kindness. My father is always happy and comfortable with all of the staff.

Following my cousin's death, it took two requests plus at least one reminder over six months to obtain a refund of fees paid in advance. The visitor's book is often full with no additional pages provided. Visitors are not informed that all security doors used the same code. Incoming mail for residents
was left in the entrance area for their visitors to pick up, often letters months old were still there.
It was difficult to find a quiet place to talk when I visited. There was no dedicated small room for visitors, I usually went into the conservatory and my cousin was brought in. It was not particularly warm and often other residents interrupted. The conservatory was also used as a dining room and tables were often being laid during my visit.
While my cousin's en suite bedroom was adequate, the resident's lounges seemed to have nothing more than large screen TV's and chairs around the walls.
There seemed to be a high turnover of staff.
Following my request (I live 90 miles away) I was eventually kept informed (phone, email) when my cousin needed medical attention.
