They encourage residents to furnish their new surroundings with familiar pieces of furniture and personal possessions to make them feel truly at home. While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive lounge areas offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the home's guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.
At Pinehurst, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of their activities take place within the home environment and include garden parties, barbecues, arts/crafts and quiz nights. They empower individuals to enjoy those everyday routines they cherish, whether that’s having a salon blow-dry and manicure or keeping up to date with their favourite football team. All are encouraged and available. Residents enjoy the wider community, with a thriving high street and local amenities all within a short distance.

The leadership team are always available should a need arise, and they certainly have their fingers on the pulse of the home. Going the extra mile seems to be in the DNA of all the staff at Pinehurst Care Home, I am always cordially greeted and made to feel part of the bigger family in this home. Every time I have visited Mum the staff are all lovely. So smiley, cheerful and helpful. It's never any trouble getting her ready to take her out. They seem very attentive, friendly and respectful.

As the Home Manager of Pinehurst Care Centre, I have over 30 years’ management experience within Adult Social Care, both with the public and private sector. I am proud to be leading a team of highly engaged, passionate people who, like me, want the people we support to live their best lives in their later years. My passion is dementia care, having cared for my own mother who was living with dementia, providing truly person-centred care, and fostering positive relationships with the people I support and work with.
