While bedrooms provide a tranquil area to rest and relax, the bright and attractive lounge areas offer residents the opportunity to catch up with friends over a pot of tea, enjoy one of the home's guest entertainers or simply recline in front of their favourite films.
At Pinehurst, they encourage residents to take part in a range of engaging activities based on their lifestyle needs and preferences. Many of their activities take place within the home environment and include garden parties, barbecues, arts/crafts and quiz nights. Nan is very happy here at Pinehurst. The staff treat her like a Queen and look after her well. Nan is always bright and happy when I visit her. As the Home Manager of Pinehurst Care Centre, I have over 30 years’ management experience within Adult Social Care, both with the public and private sector. I am proud to be leading a team of highly engaged, passionate people who, like me, want the people we support to live their best lives in their later years. My passion is dementia care, having cared for my own mother who was living with dementia, providing truly person-centred care, and fostering positive relationships with the people I support and work with.
