Overall Experience

We live 250 miles away from Park View so rely on the management, staff and carers to be our 'eyes and ears'. On our last visit, we prebooked lunch privately in the conservatory and we were all treated like royalty. Just a hand on my brother's shoulder from his dedicated carer was so reassuring and confirms our confidence in the care he receives. We spoke to the manager to discuss an overview of my brother's health and welfare, and she knew every detail of his status without looking at any of his records. Again, that instils great confidence in the way in which he is looked after. My brother is immaculately dressed, clean and perfectly well groomed. He tells me he is happy, well cared for and wants for nothing. Thank you to a wonderful, caring team.

My brother has been a resident since May and the care staff have been really supportive. They are easy to contact and all the staff seem to be kept up to date with any problems or issues that my brother might have. When telephoning the home everyone has been helpful and staff ensure that I am kept up to date with events. It was reassuring that my brother was invited to go on their minibus trips and that his birthday was celebrated even though he'd only been there a couple of weeks.

Reply from Alex Sanders, Home Manager at Park View

My wife, who has Alzheimers Dementia, moved into Park View last November. My daughters and I viewed many Care Homes', but, from the first minute, Park View stood out from the rest. The cleanliness and security of the home, the friendliness of the staff, the activities arranged and the welcoming of the senior staff, were all first class. Since my wife moved in, our first impressions have been proved correct.
Alex, the manager, operates an open door policy and has always found time to listen to any concerns or questions we have had about my wife's care. Her attitude and helpfulness to the residents is mirrored in her staff who always show care, respect and patience to my wife even when she has one of her infrequent non compliant days.

I am forever thankful that we were able to arrange for my wife to move into Park View. Generally she is very happy. contented and involved in the activities and I have no worries as to her welfare, as I know she is receiving first class care and attention.

My mother has been at the home for 5 years She has many health concerns including dementia She's very well cared for - the home is well managed and the staff are very caring. She's now 93 and not really mobile. The staff feed her. The staff make an effort to integrate her with the other residents. On occasion she can be frustrated and unhappy, but that is due to her condition.

This is a very good home and I have no concerns

My Mum has been in Parkview since April 2025 after needing 24 hour care after lots of falls. I felt like I had let her down but she needed more care than I could give. The Hospital sent her to Parkview and I am so glad they did. I cannot sing their praises enough. I know in Mum's own world having dementia for the last 5 years she is happy. The staff are wonderful and Alex the manager is always on hand for a chat and reassurance even a shoulder to cry on. The activity team are the best Mum has been out on trips and gets encouraged to join in their activities. Mum cannot remember what she has done but because of their social media page myself and family can see her smiley face joining in.

Once again thank you Alex and your superb staff for all the love and care you give Mum. I cannot praise Parkview enough xxx

My mother in law has been a resident in Park View for 18 months. As a ex district nurse my self I can confidently say she has received excellent care. I am always kept informed if my mother in law is unwell and what action is taken. The carers under the excellent leadership of Alex are kind and attentive and interate with the residents. Alex is always very visible and happy to talk to you. They provide many activities for the residents and take them out for outings which is lively to see on social media. We are really happy with the care my mother in law receives.

I cannot thank you all enough for looking after my mum, she was admitted after constantly falling at home and ending up in hospital, being in care was her biggest fear but all staff helped her settle in. She was bedbound with Dementia but she was well looked after and was kept clean and tidy at all times. Thank you for looking after her in her final days. I would highly recommend and again cannot thank you all for looking after her. I also found the office staff very helpful and would go the extra mile to help you. Alex the manager was always there to help. Thanks Karen
