Maryfield Care Home

All staff members are incredibly friendly, helpful, caring and informative. They looked after our loved one in their last few months of life and gave them the best care and support. They made sure they were comfortable, listened to, looked after and respected. They were incredible throughout with us, the family, with detailed updates and care when the time finally came to say goodbye. I would recommend the home as the staff and location are lovely. I would also like to thank them for everything they did!

Welcoming, caring staff. Bright clean surroundings with space outside for exercise. Plenty of opportunities for customer enrichment. Good security, marvellous food; good communication and parking. Helpful to visitors.

My mum was admitted to Maryfield in December 2023, following a stroke and hospital stay. She was unable to return to her previous care home due to her increasing needs following the stroke. The whole experience at Maryfield has been a blessing for all the family. Mum passed away at the weekend and during these final weeks, she was treated with complete dignity and loving kindness by all the staff. The ethos of the home is one of care and support and all of Mum's family (children and grandchildren) experienced this on their regular visits. During the final week of Mum's life, one of us was able to stay the night in an adjacent room, which was free at the time. We cannot speak highly enough of the care and empathy which mum and all of us experienced at Maryfield. The staff were gentle and reassuring. At a time of palliative care for mum and anxiety for all the family, we are so grateful that we found Maryfield.

My mother was at Maryfield from May 2023 to December 2023 before she sadly passed away. From our first visit, we were made to feel welcome. The warmth and friendliness from all the staff were so reassuring. They made people feel as though they were part of one large family. During my visits, I noticed how patient and caring they were to all the residents. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Activities were arranged daily to engage and stimulate residents and regular parties took place for residents and their families. I feel so very lucky that my mum got such wonderful care during the time she was there. Maryfield is a very special place.

My dad continues to be cared for in a kind and considerate way. He has recently lost some hearing in his ears and the staff have been understanding and helpful. They are patient with him. Thank you.

I am very happy at Maryfield Care Home. Staff are very caring and friendly. My family visit me every day and they are happy with the care I receive. They always celebrate special days and I can spend quality time with my husband.

The home are currently in the process of recruiting an events manager which will help to add to our current activity schedule.

Maryfield puts on themed events, e.g. Hawaiian, Bollywood, with speciality foods or even just a BBQ when the weather is kind! All the residents really enjoy themselves, singing and dancing, absorbing the atmosphere. Family are welcome too, which is lovely - the more, the merrier!

Our family are very happy with the care our dad receives in Maryfield Care home. It is a very clean, light, airy home with patient, friendly and kind staff who work hard to foster a family atmosphere. The food is freshly prepared and plentiful, rooms are bright and welcoming and the extensive grounds very attractive for walks and socials. Dad's spiritual needs are well met with the opportunity for daily prayer and fellowship with the convent and Catholic Church next door.

My wife and I travelled from Yorkshire to Hook to visit my Brother-in-law. We were so impressed with the care he was receiving. The staff are amazing and we saw first-hand that my brother-in-law was thriving after a very difficult time.

My mother has been in the care of Maryfield Care Home for a month now, and after being abused in a previous care home, the difference is like night and day. It is so well run, and I couldn't wish for better care. Mum had not been moved for six weeks in the previous home; these guys have had her out in the sunshine - truly amazing staff.

The care home is fantastic! Loving staff and caring manager, who have instilled a family atmosphere at Maryfield Care Home. They attend to residents' wishes and specific needs excellently. I have been very happy with Maryfield Care Home. The whole process of transitioning my husband from our home to the care home was made very easy for us by the manager and his caring, friendly staff. The manager even sourced food to meet our special dietary requirements. The care home can improve in the future by having activities set up for the residents. However, I would not hesitate to recommend Maryfield Care Home. They have loving and caring staff who genuinely care for their residents.

This care home has been a breath of fresh air for my father. It is a very clean, calm and fabulous environment for people to live in. The staff are exceptional; they go above and beyond to assist. Having both medical and patrol care has been a huge benefit to my father. Food is fresh and varied. A truly wonderful place - I could go on, but will run out of space. Excellent! Thank you!

Almost a month in Maryfield and I am so glad we made the move. She is being looked after with care, compassion, dignity and kindness. I would be glad to recommend this home to anyone who has elderly relatives.
