We are very pleased to know that our mother is comfortable and well cared for at Fleet Hall, especially on Jubilee Floor. As a family, we believe good care is central to her well being and we are delighted that she is receiving plenty of this. Please would you pass on our thanks to all members of staff for their care and kindness, not only to our mother but to all family members when we visit. We feel very welcome and it is lovely to see such a happy team who obviously enjoy their work and the care they show to all residents no matter what time of day.

Our experience of visiting, electronic communication and interacting with the residents and staff at Fleet Hall - Avery care home in our consideration of it for mum has been an absolute delight. The staff are professional, warm and available at all times. They completed their assessment of mum extremely quickly and have guided us through the practicalities of funding, moving her in and, now that mum is a resident, are keeping us informed of her interaction with other residents, staff and the activities. I highly recommend this care home to anyone who is considering a residential care home for their loved one. We are thrilled to have found a place where mum will be cared for comprehensively for the rest of her life, where there is ample support for the shifting realities that vascular dementia presents. Thank you Fleet Hall - Avery!

In general the care staff are all friendly, kind and overworked. The entertainment staff are very caring and a joy to know, they are so inventive with the things they do for the residents.
In my time there I have noticed cuts and changes, which are the obvious signs of it being a business. The residents seem happy on the whole and the home is clean and tidy and their rooms are nice.

On entering the home it is obvious that Fleet Hall is very upmarket with its chandelier and grand piano in the entrance The reception area was manned by a friendly well presented lady. We were shown the room that was to be ' home' for the next couple of weeks. We knew that it would be a shared bathroom and that wasn't entirely successful, my cousin didn't have a shower for the full two weeks we only found that out the day before she was leaving. One thing she was not too keen on was that there was only a call button in the rooms and no panic button on a lanyard. All the staff were very friendly and attentive and there were many of them. On the whole the experience was worthwhile and enjoyable.

The staff at Fleet Hall were great in helping to move dad out of hospital and into Fleet Hall. They communicated well with family members so everyone was kept up to date and involved in the whole process. This took away any anxiety and dad had a smooth transition into Fleet Hall. All the staff have been friendly, helpful and caring. After 4 weeks of hospital gowns and lying in bed it has been wonderful to see him shaved, dressed, sitting in a wheelchair and starting to engage in life again. Dad enjoys the meals so is eating well and will hopefully regain the weight he's lost. But best of all Fleet Hall have managed to work it so dad is back with his wife of 65 years and they can continue to grow old together. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review for Fleet Hall and the team! We were delighted to do everything we could to ensure he was back with his wife, continuing to make memories and enjoy time together. It is lovely to read such a positive experience and know how we as a team have contributed to this.

I moved into Fleet Hall just before Christmas 2024, having spent time popping in for some activities and lunches. I was made to feel so welcome that the move to permanent residency was smooth and easy. I know I made the right choice. The care, efficiency and attention to detail is superb in relation to all departments: Management, Nursing, Care, Activities, Housekeeping, Catering, and Concierge. Nothing seems to be too much trouble.
I enjoy many of the activities; the good food with sensible size portions and relaxing in my very comfortable suite. The welcome extends to my family and visitors which is very important to me. I am impressed at how Fleet Hall works hard to be part of the community by extending out to, and welcoming in, local groups such as nurseries/schools, scout troops, charities, library, choirs, etc. Special occasions are marked with great imagination and attention to detail.

Having reached the ripe old age of 93, my father wanted to see more of his family and decided to give up living in splendid isolation and move nearer to his children. In looking for a care home within easy travelling distance, Fleet appeared a strong option. The choices were varied and finding a home that shared his values and expectations, we settled on Fleet Hall Care Home. He received a warm welcome from, not only the management, but from everyone at the home. The service has been helpful and professional with every need catered for. From the moment he arrived, he has been helped to live his life to the full, nothing seems too much and no matter what time we visit, we are never more than 15 mins from one of the excellent staff, popping their head round his door, offering refreshment, helping him dress, wash or shower, and making sure that he doesn't miss a meal or opportunity to connect with other guests. I would have no issue with recommending the home, the staff and the facilities.

This excellent care home is professionally yet compassionately run, by the most incredible and extra special manager, ably assisted by every single member of her wonderful team. These dedicated people work so diligently and well in the many different areas of expertise needed. Whether that be in aspects of the care to residents or their environment, practicalities and administration, staffing the reception and post, papers etc, cleaning, maintenance and upkeep in rooms and the building, different aspects of catering, the activities, outings, events, celebrations, and fundraisers arranged, medical and wellbeing, or liaising with and supporting families, we're very grateful to each and everyone, as they fulfil their own vital individual part in making this a such a caring, nurturing and happy environment. Mum moved into Fleet Hall in November 2023, for respite care after an illness. Mum reluctantly agreed that she had felt scared and lonely at home on her own, and made the decision to become a permanent resident. The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to talk to mum and make her feel at home. They have supported mum through a time that has been difficult for her, leaving her home. Staff have also been supportive of me when mum has been poorly. I cannot praise Fleet Hall enough.

However, the reality was rather better than either described or expected. Yes, we are paying a good sum of money but are both absolutely pleased by the result and no doubt if and when needed again later as it may most probably will be, this is where we would make first choice.

Mum moved to Fleet Hall in February 2022, and it took a little while for her to settle in because she's never been a very gregarious person and with regular observation from the care team her dementia became more apparent. The level of care, kindness and attention which Mum receives is wonderful and she has now settled into life at Fleet Hall which she knows is a safe, caring environment and which she now calls her home. Those early days were challenging for the family, and the level of understanding and support we received and continue to receive from all the staff is exceptional. Now when I visit Mum she is calm, relaxed and tells me how much she appreciates everything the team do for her. I would also like to express my thanks to the whole team, Fleet Hall has improved Mum's quality of life and given me peace of mind that she is well looked after in a kind, supportive and caring home.

Mum always says the staff seem as happy as she is when they let her know I have called to say I am visiting and taking her out for lunch. They always take the time to ask how you are and show an interest about where we are going and what we have planned. Some of the activities seem really great, particularly when residents go somewhere in the minibus. I really enjoy seeing the photographs on Facebook, thank you. Mum's accommodation is perfect for her and maintenance staff have been so helpful when she has wanted pictures or blinds put up. She absolutely loves it and takes real pride in her new home. Personally I really enjoy visiting Mum at Fleet Hall and my own life has improved as a result of knowing that she is happy, safe and well cared for.

My mother has become increasingly reliant on the staff at Fleet Hall, and as I have observed for myself nothing is too much trouble for them. The care she receives rates far higher than the CQC rating, which in my opinion should be 'outstanding'.

I started working at Fleet Hall in the Reminiscence neighbourhood supporting residents living with Dementia. I worked as a senior carer for 5 wonderful years before being given the opportunity to become the Activity Manager. I really enjoy getting the residents involved in all we have to offer in our daily activity programme.
We run numerous clubs including Knitting, singing, cookery and gardening. We organise a variety of outings including boat trips, theatre trips, lunches and picnics and our country rides on the minibus are always very popular as many residents are local people and enjoy the scenery. I’m lucky to be part of such an incredible team across all departments who always go over and above.

I started working at Fleet Hall in 2021 as a care assistant in the Assisted Living neighbourhood, during this time I trained to administer medications and was promoted to a Senior Care Assistant. I have found my passion working in care. I feel honoured to work with our amazing and committed team here to improve the quality of life for our residents.
