Woodlands was my own choice of care home to be a resident and it was the best choice I have made, ever. I was impressed with the welcome and treatment I received but the care and support I have received in the last month has been outstanding. Particularly as my only daughter lives in France and there is no opportunity to communicate, they arranged for me to FaceTime with my daughter.

I think the management and staff of Woodlands have done a sterling job of keeping the residents safe from COVID so far, whilst ensuring the families are kept informed and connected. Staff have gone the extra mile to enable video calling and it is much appreciated. The socially distanced meetups under the gazebo are great and I hope they continue.

During this current COVID-19 pandemic, Woodlands have coped efficiently within the most difficult task of shielding their elderly and vulnerable residents. Also keeping relatives well informed of the changing developments.

It has been so reassuring to know that my father has been so well cared for.

Dad is looked after very well. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. He gets all the support he needs. The home is always very clean and warm and feels "homely". The staff always keep me informed of what is happening particularly in relation to dads health and well-being.

Before taking up a place, we visited quite a few homes and, though some were good, only Woodlands offered the combination of homeliness, companionship and high standard of care that we were looking for. My mother loved flowers and trees so the view from her room was perfect for her though she wasn’t able to actually spend time in the gardens. We were impressed by the standard of maintenance and how frequently the maintenance team were there making improvements. Residential care for the elderly isn’t cheap but when you stop and think about what is involved, we regarded Woodlands as good value for money. In the period leading up to my mother’s death, the situation was made extremely difficult for all concerned by the Covid lockdown. The staff dealt with it calmly, thoroughly and thoughtfully. We could not have asked for more.

Very happy with the care provided and Mum is happy. The staff are amazing and prepared to talk things through. Nothing is too much trouble. The standard of activities has slipped but there is, I'm pleased to see, a plan in place to address this. I can't stress enough how great the staff are.

I cannot fault Woodlands. My mother-in-law has been a resident for nearly 4 years. The care given to her has been excellent. She has gone downhill in the recent weeks and the staff have been wonderful. They have gone out of their way to help us and mom.

Everyone at the Woodlands gets a gold star.

My Mum came to live at Woodlands following a stay in hospital. She was very poorly and we did not expect her to be with us for long. However, the staff at Woodlands are little short of miracle workers and Mum picked up and is now very happy to live there and she has said that she feels she is living amongst friends and feels safe there. She enjoys a little harmless banter with the staff who are all so kind and caring and Mum is allowed to feel she is being useful by undertaking little jobs to help out. She enjoys occasional trips out in the minibus and other activities in the home. It is such a comfort for our family to know that Mum is living in such a caring, safe environment. I cannot recommend Woodlands highly enough.

I find all the staff to be very caring and friendly. Family and friends are always made to feel very welcome. I am always kept informed of any medical issues concerning my father and he is seen by a doctor on a regular basis. The rooms are light and airy and always kept clean, and personal laundry is very well taken care of. Well done everyone at Woodlands, you are very much appreciated.
