I am very happy with the wonderful care my husband received. He is happy & contented therefore so am I. Apart from the care aspect there have been numerous activities in which both residents & family members are encouraged to participate, which we thoroughly enjoy. The pumpkin carving & Halloween party were a great success as was the pantamime & Christmas party and raffle. There was also a celebration of New Year. Congratulations to all the staff. Thank you.

Great organisation with initial visit to assess mum right from beginning to end.
Staff extremely friendly and home was clean, lovely atmosphere and Mum felt happy to stay from the get-go.
Mum enjoyed loads of fab activities from decorating pancakes to having her nails done and local children coming in to visit.
The food was great and Mum had no complaints.
Mum came home with all her belongings and even wants me to take her back to get her nails done!

The day I transferred my Father to a new care home I arrived to find my father sat amongst bin bags and boxes with his belongings and clothes crammed in, his bedding stripped and bagged. I was heartbroken to find this a total lack of care and compassion. The manager who I quote said ‘We have procedures to adhere to‘ well shame on you Brookvale. This left my Father and myself traumatised.
On arrival at the new care home on unpacking his belongings they had bagged up soiled bed sheets (disgusting). I will never be able to get this awful day out of my mind and my poor Father being treated in such a disgusting way. So do I recommend this home Definitely not, shame on them.
We are very sorry to hear you felt a lack of empathy and compassion when your father was a resident, but I can assure you that our mission is to provide the best possible care to those we...
