Brookvale House is a 35-bed care home registered for persons who do not require nursing care. 22 rooms have a WC ensuite, with the remaining 13 rooms having a sink in the room. Each bedroom has individually controlled heating and access to television points.

The home has benefited from the creation of additional lounge areas that allow residents to spend time in a variety of social and quiet areas. It also allows areas of privacy outside of a resident’s bedroom where they can have a nice quiet conversation over tea with their visitors. My mother has been at Brookvale House for just over four months and is very happy and well cared for. She was losing weight at home and finding it difficult to cope, even with carers coming in three times a day. At Brookvale, I know she is gaining weight and interested in what's going on around her.

Mum has had great care and good times at Brookvale. All staff are generally good, happy folk! Very thankful to have my Mum in this good atmosphere! A nice effort made this Christmas for residents. Many thanks to all at Brookvale House. Good on you all!!

We find all the staff at Brookvale House kind and helpful. My mother's bedroom is always clean and tidy and she always looks well cared for with fresh clean clothes. She looks comfortable in the very smart new chairs and there is always plenty of entertainment.

Brookvale staff are all very friendly and helpful and working hard to maintain the care and dignity of their residents. The care staff at Brookvale House have worked hard to settle my mother-in-law in to be here. It has been very difficult at times for all concerned but they have built a lovely caring relationship with her and they have treated her with respect and dignity. The home is lovely and the garden is a lovely
area to sit out and relax. The activities are good, but most of all the food is outstanding and the food is a very important part of a residents life.

My first contact with Brookvale House was a telephone conversation. It was very much better handled than in the other homes I had already contacted. The persons who came to see us in our house inspired confidence. And, indeed, I know, and our children know, that my husband is safe with you.
At all
times, all the members of staff have been kind, friendly and patient. The food is very good, the place is very clean, all my concerns have been taken into consideration.
I have been made to feel very welcome every single day, so have our son and our friends.

Last minute respite care required. The manager came out to review my father and we were able to get my father in 2 days later.
The staff were excellent, caring for my father ensuring that he was safe, cared for and treated with care and dignity. The staff used humour to help dad cope with his Alzheimer's
which he thoroughly enjoyed the interaction.

I have nothing but praise for the care and attention shown by staff to my mother. My only reason for not giving more excellent scores is down to the building in which the home operates. This results in old passageways and gloomy corners. The garden is very nice and a pleasant spot in which to sit. I
have not scored activities as I don't think my mother ever chose to participate.

Friendly and efficient staff. Mum seems to have settled in well. She was made to feel very welcome. The room is a nice size. Lovely garden for the summer. Appear to have lots of activities during the day.

The care provided is fantastic. My uncle was very unsettled in his last home. Since living at Brookvale, he has calmed down so much and never wants to leave for days out etc. All the residents seem well cared for, the food options are, second to none. Staff are very friendly and happy.
