Friendly atmosphere, my father seems as happy as can be expected. Staff are approachable, friendly and informative. Activities provided are excellent. Food quality and variety is excellent. We are overall, very happy with the care being provided. All the staff here seem to do an excellent job.

This home appears lovely. Grandad always looks clean and dressed. Occasionally he doesn't look clean shaven but I understand that maybe because Grandad refuses.
The home itself is clean, smells OK and staff are friendly, approachable and know their residents.

This is a friendly, homely facility. The residents seem happy and well cared for. They are well presented e.g clean clothes, hair care etc.
The meals seem varied mum has put on weight since she has been there.

This relatively small care home always feels very friendly and staff soon greet you as a visitor, by name. The staff always call the residents by their first name and know their requirements and peculiarities, consideration and dignity always seems to be shown to residents.

Mum has settled in very well and seems generally much more relaxed as food, medication etc
is no longer a problem that she has to deal with. The care staff are a consistent feature so she no longer worries about strangers we are very happy with her welfare and overall health.

My mother-in-law has been a resident for four and a half years and has settled in happily. The staff are very caring and friendly. I have been pleased to see my mother-in-law likes the staff. I would recommend Brookvale House to anyone.

Mum has only been at Brookvale for 4 weeks.


The staff have been fantastic. Very friendly and caring. The garden is fantastic and because the weather has been good, we have used it a lot. Mum seems to be settling in very well.

Mum has been at the home for 2 years now and I am very happy with the standard of care given.
The staff are thoughtful, kind and always happy to help.
The food is cooked on the premises and is of an excellent quality. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.

My dad was only in Brookvale House for three weeks before having to go to hospital but even in that short period of time, he was the happiest he had been for years.
The home and all staff were fantastic.
It would be great if Dad could go back there.

Very friendly staff, clients are always clean and well dressed. Outside entertainment (singers) are a very high standard. Food looks nice with regular drinks and snacks offered.
Garden has been redecorated nicely. Bedrooms could do with modernising/redecorating.
Beds don't look very comfy.

I visit my sister weekly, always find her happy and content. She still is very alert and very pleased to see us. The staff are all very nice and helpful and she always says how pleasant they are. We are always welcomed and offered tea, coffee and a biscuit or cake and have been asked to stay for lunch.
We feel that she is very lucky to be there. Ten out ten to them all. Her room is always clean.
