Heath Lodge

Everyone here is very kind, helpful and responsive to requests. There are so many activities for residents to do and the food quality is good. My grandad's room is clean, spacious and he feels safe here.

Mum had a couple of respite stays last year and since May now lives permanently in the home. We have found the staff to be very kind and caring. Mum is now bed-bound and can't take part in any of the activities but they continue to help to engage her. Her room is always clean and well-kept. We are very happy with the home, service and care she receives. Thank you.

Dad was admitted to Heath Lodge after contracting Covid in hospital. He was bedridden and weak. However, since then he has improved considerably thanks to the dedication and commitment of the staff. He is now able to walk with assistance, feed himself and join in activities - we are delighted to see such an improvement. The staff are all very friendly and helpful on our visits.

I have found all the staff and management extremely helpful and polite. No matter what time you call them they always have a smile on their face. Although I am only here for respite I was treated with dignity. My stay here has been very good and I would recommend this place to anyone who asked. I have found the food excellent, plenty of it and I am very fussy about my meals, but I have not found any fault at all.

The care home is managed really well which makes visits easy and they give great care to residents.

Since my nan has moved into Heath Lodge, as a family, we have seen a positive change. My nan is more chatty; she is no longer lonely or frightened. The care staff are very caring and kind. Nan is very much enjoying living at Heath Lodge, and it helps to know she is being very well looked after.

My experience of Heath Lodge has been very good. They have kept me informed about Mum at all times and have really cared for her very well. Mum is obviously happy and has a connection with the carers; this is so important to me.

No issues or concerns.

My mother came to isolate at Heath Lodge with Covid 19 after a short stay in hospital and a terminal cancer diagnosis. We were accommodated with window visits and phone calls and were given every opportunity to communicate with staff. Mum always appeared to be comfortable and relaxed in her surroundings. The staff were caring and seemed to be fond of her which made me feel very confident in the care she was receiving. I’ve spent the last 9 years caring for her myself at home, so it was a difficult situation for us but I felt very reassured. The care staff that we met were friendly, kind and informative.

My mother who is 94 is now so happy and very jolly. During COVID in March, she has been isolated on her own and her mentality had gone downhill dramatically not interacting nor having any conversations her dementia worsened. Now! what a difference she is laughing, singing, she is so happy staying here and takes great delight telling the family members how much she enjoys living here. Highly recommended, excellent facilities, friendly caring staff. I wish my mother lived here in March rather than recently of 2 months.

What can I say, but on arrival you are always greeted with a smile and hello while my mother-in-law was there she was treated extremely well. She was a very strong-willed, stubborn lady but they dealt with her letting her try and do things beyond her capabilities. All staff are friendly, caring, hardworking and cheerful in what is a very hard environment to be in, most of the residents are challenging to say the least (I have seen many times) but their patience is faultless. Thank you to all the staff I will miss them.

My mother has been having respite care and love whilst we did work on her house. She was welcomed and made to feel secure and safe. The cheerful and helpful staff met all her needs with care and compassion. I am very grateful to everyone at the home.

My mum has been a resident at Heath Lodge for five years now and I couldn't have chosen a better home. My mum has been so well looked after, always fed, watered, clean and gets great support from all staff.

Mum's been here for about five years, and throughout that time, I have been impressed by the level of care she has received. I have generally been pleased with the quality of the staff, most of them have been well suited to the jobs that they do. Thank you so much for your love and support of my mum.

I reported a TV fault in my father's room and provided feedback on why he might be suffering from constipation (not drinking enough water or eating sufficient roughage/vegetables). A staff member scribbled down a message on a desk calendar - not very professional. Staff always seemed rushed, especially management. The doctor and other non-British care staff fully understand the cultural heritage of residents and are able to support them in this regard.

This home has a very caring attitude and is always clean and well kept. The staff are helpful and always try to fulfil my father's needs. There are several activities which my father has enjoyed participating in; such as the craft sessions and the sing-a-longs. The food is always hot and tasty, and we have been welcomed to eat with him on many occasions. Overall, very pleased with his care here.
