My mother was previously in a residential home in Suffolk, over 100 miles away from us. My wife and I spent three months researching and visiting care homes closer to home, seeing around twelve in total. Prince Michael of Kent Court was one of the first we visited and it always stayed with us because of how clean, calm and well-run it felt. Its multi-wing layout is quite unique and, for us, an essential feature.
It was only after my mother moved in that we fully appreciated how exceptional the care is. Everyone - from cleaners and laundry staff to the housekeeper - takes time to speak to her and make her feel at home. The care leads and front desk staff are always helpful and happy to pass on messages or put us through to her. The carers are outstanding: my mum is exceptionally well looked after, always clean, well dressed and very well fed. It has been a huge relief to know she is safe, comfortable and genuinely cared for. Thank you!
Thank you for such a lovely review of our home and the kind and complimentary words about our staff team. It is always appreciated to hear that we are delivering exceptional care to our residents and giving families peace of mind. I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the team.
My Godmother, Hilary, came to Prince Michael of Kent Court following a big operation. She lives on her own so we wanted her to be cared for during her recovery. We would like to thank you all again for taking such good care of Hilary. Her consultant was amazed at her recovery following her operation and I believe that it was down to the care she received from yourselves, where she was able to relax and just recover. Whilst she loves her independence and being back at home, I know that she had a wonderful time with you and misses you all. She was looked after so well and everyone took time to talk with her and really get to know her which I know she really appreciated. We know how wonderful the home is as my Mother in Law is also with you and so incredibly well looked after and cared for. Thank you so much!
Thank you for such a lovely review of our home. It was a pleasure to get to know and look after your Godmother and we are pleased that we were able to support her recovery and that she enjoyed her time with us. I will ensure to pass your kind words on to the team.
The moment I entered Prince Michael of Kent Court, I felt I wasn't in a care home. I would liken it more to a warm and welcoming cosy rural hotel. How they've created such a family feeling atmosphere I don't know exactly but it feels like a "home" to me, not a facility. Perhaps partly, it's the demeanour of all the sincerely kind welcoming people that work there or the cat Mabel or the dog Alfie, that comfortably roam the beautifully lit spacious halls for the residents and visitors to pet. There are no weird smells anywhere. No joke! I have visited relatives within many care homes in my life and all of them had a certain smell. This one, does not and I believe that is testament to the level of care they provide their clients. To me, it's how they care for my lovely mother. I dreaded her having to move into a care home but since being there she's settled in wonderfully, she seems happier than before and always dressed in nice clean clothes, and she loves the food!
Thank you so much for your 5 star review of our home. We are so pleased that you are happy with the care that mum receives and that she has settled so well here. The team works hard to ensure the home has a welcoming feel and it is reassuring to us that you feel at home when you visit. I will pass your kind and complimentary words on to the team.
Living on the other side of the world, we are so happy with the entire PMOK team. Everyone is so approachable, helpful, professional and incredibly supportive of my mother, who's dementia has progressed faster than we could have imagined. We have complete peace of mind knowing that our Mum is in amazing hands, everyone from the housekeepers, careers and the adminsistration / management team are all in sync and 100% focused on my mother and all other residents. The events calendar is very well themed for key dates and they balance and structure wonderful activities across the month which are very inclusive. I truly can't speak highly enough of our expereince from the moment you walk through the door you realise its the people working at PMOK and their passion, caring nature, dedication and patience that makes this care home a very special place.
Thank you so much for your complimentary review of our home and we are so pleased to hear that we have been able to give you and your family peace of mind for your mother's care. I will ensure that your kind words are passed on to the whole team. It is really appreciated to know that we are making a positive difference to our residents and their families.
My mum has been a resident at Prince Michael of Kent Court for nearly 2 years. She is relaxed and happy there and has been right from the very first day. She has a reputation in the home for being a 'bit of a ''dancing queen' as she absolutely can't stop herself from dancing whenever she hears music. My mum is loving life again since being there! She enjoys all the various activities on offer and is usually first in line to participate in everything. It's so lovely to see her enjoying life again. I cannot leave a review without mentioning the amazing staff that work at the home. They are so lovely and treat the residents with such care and respect. They know each resident individually and tailor their support accordingly. I really couldn't ask for anything more. I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful home for my mum to live in. I am relaxed in knowing how well she is cared for there and how happy she is.
Thank you for such a lovely review of our home and staff team. The team always works hard to get to know each of our residents and make sure they enjoy their time with us. It is a pleasure to look after your mother and to know that she is loving life again. I will pass your kind words on to the team.
Mum has lived at the care home for just over 18months as a dementia patient, the home does an excellent job of looking after her, keeping her clean and entertained, her room is perfect, the staff interact well with all the patients and are friendly to visitors, the individual wings have everything the guests need, and the central communal area is perfect for entertainment and special events.
Thank you for such a complimentary review of our home and care team. We are pleased to know that you are happy with the care given to mum. The team always strives to deliver the best possible care to our residents and it is always appreciated to receive such positive feedback. I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the whole staff team.
The activities are fun, I joined in on one of their musical quizzes, again the staff were so personable and interacted with all the residents, everyone seemed to be having a good time.
It is lovely knowing my Dad is safe and treated with respect.

My parents have resided in other care homes in Suffolk. When we moved mum to Prince Michael of Kent care home after Dad died we were naturally apprehensive but there was no need. It is an excellent facility with excellent, caring, thoughtful staff from the manager, the team leaders, the staff, the kitchen, right through to front of house. She could not have been in a better setting. She was content to the end. I cannot thank all of them enough for being there for her in her last months alone without Dad.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review of our home. Your mum was a very special person and will be missed by us all. The team always strives to deliver the best possible care to our residents and give their families reassurance, especially at difficult times. I will ensure to pass your kind words on to all the team.
The home has great facilities (it was refreshing when we first walked in when compared to other homes). We have also found the staff to be friendly and supportive.
The most important aspect of Dad's care is his mental well being. The staff have worked hard to help Dad settle in and have been proactive in helping to manage his dementia. I very much feel that this is a care home that works hard as a supporting advocate for residents when dealing with third parties. We are very grateful for this support.
I would highly recommend the Home.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the care and support given to your father and that this has helped him to settle in a new environment and improve his wellbeing. It is always nice to receive such positive feedback and I will pass your kind words on to the team.

The property is absolutely stunning and the care is second to none. The staff are loving and caring and go above and beyond to make my mother comfortable.

My mum moved here at the end of October and she has been looked after so well. All the staff are kind, friendly, welcoming, very professional and above all so caring and respectful, and they are the same with relatives and friends too. It gives me, my brother and sister such peace of mind. Thank you!

When I visit my friend at Prince Michael of Kent Court home in Watford The whole experience is so impressive, from the overall friendly atmosphere to the warm compassion of the caring staff. All the staff are exceptionally caring and attentive towards the residents and family members, nothing is too much trouble for them.
There are daily activities and a weekly coffee morning in the main lounge which all the residents really enjoy.
Prince Michael of Kent has been home to my mother for nearly 5 years, she's so happy there.
I live 2 hours away but feel completely at ease with the care and support she gets on a daily basis. I also receive regular updates on Mum's health and general well-being which is very comforting for me being so far away.
Without doubt I would highly recommend Prince Michael of Kent Court

Our father has been made to feel welcome by the entire team, in addition, visiting family have been welcomed and this has given us the reassurance that his needs and wellbeing have been at the forefront at all times. Prince Michael of Kent Court is very different to other care homes I have visited. It is bright and warm. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff are friendly and caring. My friend has been at Prince Michael of Kent Court for some time and he loves living there. There are activities every day and also regular events like live musical entertainment and coffee mornings. The gardens are lovely. One of the gardens has the theme of a 1960's street scene, with shop fronts and an old-style telephone box. My friend says that all the staff are so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are fantastic with a shop, bar and even a jukebox! My friend has had a new lease of life since being at Prince Michael of Kent Court.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of our home. We are pleased to hear that your friend is enjoying their time with us and all the activities available. I will pass your kind and complimentary words on to our care team.
Putting a relative in a care home is daunting and full of mixed emotions, guilt, fear and trepidation.
Know that if you put your loved one in Princess Michael of Kent Court care home that is all taken away and it becomes home to you too.
Can not recommend enough.

My uncle is always treated with respect and kindness at Prince Michael of Kent Court. He is very settled there and the staff are so good with him. He attends a lot of activities that the home runs for the residents which helps to jog his memory and remind him of past and present times. They have a coffee morning every Thursday morning for the residents and families that wish to visit on that day, the staff and volunteers are very attentive to everyone's needs serving coffee, cake and playing music softly in the background.
Thank you so much for your kind words about our home and team. We are pleased to hear that your uncle and yourselves enjoy the activities provided and that he feels settled and supported within the home. I will pass your positive feedback on to the team.
The home offers a wide range of activities and lovely outdoor space to sit in during the good weather. The staff encourages residents to participate in the activities. Often on a Sunday afternoon, they have a singer or band perform. At Christmas, the decorations are amazing.
Each wing has its own dining room and meals are eaten in the dining room giving residents the opportunity to chat to one another.
I would recommend Prince Michael of Kent Court.
