I cannot recommend Prince Michael of Kent Court highly enough. From the process of having Mum moved in, the attention paid to ensuring Mum settled in well and all the lovely, warm, kind, and caring staff in every aspect of this amazing organisation. As a family we were very anxious about moving Mum into a care home, however, we need not have been - if only all care homes were as brilliant as PMK!

My mother moved into Prince Michael of Kent Court last November as she could no longer cope at home. Since entering the home she looks healthier and younger! Staff are friendly, professional, helpful and attentive to Mum's care needs. The bright, clean and welcoming atmosphere/layout is brilliant with lots of lovely outside space. The care home has an excellent activity programme, Mum's favourite is the Love to Exercise class. The food and social dining facilities are great. I would highly recommend Prince Michael of Kent Court.

I am very happy with the care my mum receives at Prince Michael of Kent Court. The staff are extremely kind, professional and attentive. The building has a lovely layout with really nice outside areas. My mum's room is very homely with a lovely view onto one of the courtyards. She seems to really enjoy the food. I would highly recommend Prince Michael of Kent Court.

A lovely home. Unlike any care home for the elderly, I have seen.
The main seating area is full of light and very comfortable for residents and visitors There are smaller, more intimate lounges attached to each wing. We used to go for a family visit with tea and cakes.
The dining rooms are like 4-star restaurants with tablecloths and linen napkins. My friend enjoys the social aspect of eating with a small group of residents. They share wine with each other. The standard of food is good.
There are many organised activities. My friend particularly enjoys the live music organised at the week ends by the Friends of the Home.
All religions and seasonal events are celebrated and the main lounge decorated Christmas saw a huge sleigh with a real-life reindeer.
My friend's room is large with plenty of storage and has a wet room attached. In the summer there is a patio accessed directly from the room.

We are always warmly welcomed by staff who offer tea and coffee when we visit.

My stepmother really enjoyed her respite time in Prince Michael of Kent home. She came out looking much fitter and healthier that she went in. Three regular good meals a day was responsible for this. Also the very caring carers - nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much

Inspirational leadership. The manager is outstanding.
The recruitment, supervision and development of staff is first class and sets a standard that raises everyone’s game.
When visiting my mother (who looks ten years younger since becoming a resident four weeks ago) I saw the manager in overalls, painting a wall. She expects none of her staff to do anything she wouldn’t do herself.
Every staff member knows my mother’s name and the environment created for residents is calm, comfortable and welcoming.
We are so lucky our Mum is being looked after so well, it’s all down to leadership, which starts at the top.

Absolutely amazing.

My father was a resident at the Prince Michael of Kent Court between January 2020 and October 2023. Throughout this time Dad was looked after with kindness, dignity and respect by all the stafff. Whenever my sister and I visited we always felt well supported and cared for as well, which made visiting Dad each week an experience we could look forward to and enjoy.

I found all the staff at Prince Michael of Kent Court Care Home, Watford, extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. May go above and beyond their call of duty. The members and the volunteers of the friends of the PMK Association are equally friendly and they provide an excellent service to the residents.
The care home has excellent facilities, good care and support by the staff and a clean environment.

The fact all the residents are happy in their stay at the home is a testimony of the home.

My mother has been in Prince Michael of Kent Court since September 2022. It is a fabulous facility, well-run and caring.
It has given my mother a new lease of life. Living (and later struggling) in her own home, she had forgotten that she was actually very sociable, and the ability to engage with others and enjoy social events has been an enormous boost to her emotional well-being.

She is very well looked after by the excellent, professional team there and the whole ambience of the home is most welcoming, more like an upmarket hotel. She is very happy there and it is reassuring to know that she is in safe hands and enjoying herself. A couple of medical issues requiring short-term hospitalisation were quickly spotted and dealt with in a very professional manner.

Since the resident has been in Prince Michael of Kent Court, he has made exceptional progress. He speaks positively about the care and food he receives.
He is positive about the staff and complimentary about the ways in which he is looked after. He is now walking (he was unable to do so on entering Prince Michael of Kent Court), and he is clean and well-dressed. Although there are times his mind wanders, he is much more lucid than in the early days following entry.
As a friend of the occupant, I emphasize the positive way in which management and other staff members support the occupant but also all those who visit him.

The environment is very clean and welcoming, with a very good balance of decoration yet supportive measures. The programme of events is exceptional.

In May 2023, I spent 2 weeks in Respite Care in Prince Michael of Kent Court. I was most impressed with the warm welcome and the kind care and attention I received, as well as the excellent ambience of the home.

At the moment I am still able to care for myself but I now feel reassured that when I need more help and care I shall not resist it. I hope there will be a place for me in Prince Michael of Kent now that I have experienced their very high standards throughout.

I used the care home for respite following a major heart operation. The care I received was above and beyond my expectations. The staff were magnification in their caring and helpful nature. The home itself was bright and airy and set out in a series of courts with 8/10 residents in each creating individual communities within the home.

Would I stay again? Yes when the time comes.
