I have been working at Rose House since 2013, I absolutely love being a part of the Rose House family-like atmosphere. The staff here really do care about each and every individual, that in itself can be hard to come by in today's society.
I have experience working with Learning Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries, Epilepsy, Prada Willis Syndrome, Asperger's/Autism, Fragile X Syndrome, Dementia, Schizophrenia, Parkinsonism, Bipolar Disorder and many other conditions which we work with daily to ensure service users are supported to live the best lives possible whilst being encouraged to be as independent as possible.
Sarah began working at Rose House as a college student on placement back in 2016. Sarah enjoyed working with the service users so much she decided to stay on as a permanent staff team member.
Sarah is now a Senior Support Worker.
Sonya began working at Rose House in 2018 as a Night Support Worker. Sonya moved to day shifts as she loved working with the service users and has since been promoted to Senior Support Worker.
Brandon has been with Rose House since 2021 but already seems like part of the furniture. Brandon engages with service users daily as they love assisting him with his cleaning duties.
Brandon also loves to help with handyman duties and is a talented decorator.
Tegan began working at Rose House as a Domestic Assistant back in 2015. She took her time to get to know each and every service user and enjoyed interacting so much that she applied for the position of Support Worker. Tegan has been with us ever since and now is one of our most experienced members of staff.
Katherine has experience working in several care sectors and extensive knowledge of how to meet service users' person-centred needs.
She is very creative and always comes up with new art activity ideas for service users to participate in. Katherine is now a Senior Support Worker.
Emma started off as a night support worker but decided to change to working days as she enjoyed spending time with the service users. Emma has worked in many care homes and has lots of experience.
Damilola is a bank staff who often picks up shifts here at Rose House. She has a very good relationship with service users and her colleagues. Damilola is a kind, caring person and this is reflected in the way she works.
Sarah has many years of care experience and extensive knowledge of the care sector. Sarah always goes above and beyond to help others and has built great relationships with our service users.
Kelly began at Rose House in 2021 taking a leap of faith as somebody who had never worked in the care sector before.
However, she soon settled in and with support her knowledge/experience has grown rapidly, she is now one of the more experienced staff members on the team.
Chris began working for Rose House in 2022, he has settled in well and developed great relationships with all service users and his peers. He has recently become a key worker for one of our male residents.
Suraj previously had never worked in care or with adults with LD, however, since being given full training and the opportunity to learn he has begun to thrive here at Rose House and built good working relationships with all.
Christie attended a job fayre where Eleanor discussed Rose House and current vacancies. She took a chance and applied for the position and was successful. She has never worked in the care sector before due to being very young her work experience has only just begun, however, she has grown into her role amazingly and is now an asset to the home.
